Laura: "Did you get Alan's ssage?"
Laura ca running into Carla's office without even bothering to knock; she entered with excitent plastered on her face.
Carla: "Yes, I just got it. He's finally back. Why don't we go and see him? We can tell him about the preparation for the auction."
Laura smiled.
Laura: "A great excuse, I guess."
Carla: "Shut up; it's an excuse for both of us. Why don't we go now? We are free for the afternoon; I really miss his cooking."
Laura: "Just his cooking, hehe, but too; I want to eat sothing he cooked, so let's go."
Unbeknownst to Alan, a great storm was heading to his house.
...
Mason and Alan spend most of their ti in the training room as Mason offered to help Alan in his training.
anwhile the ladies were spending the afternoon relaxing in the back garden.
Suddenly there was a knock on the front entrance of the house.
Ariana: "Hmm, we have visitors."
Lana: "I will go get it; Mom and Auntie can relax."
Lana went to the front door to see who the visitor was. As she opened the door, she was surprised to find two young, beautiful females who looked as beautiful as her but much more mature.
Lana: "Hello, who are you?"
Both Laura and Carla froze when they saw this young and beautiful girl in front of them that was not that far in age from Alan.
Carla: "I think I have the right ho; this is the Ortex household, so excuse , who are you?"
Lana: "I am Lana Hunt, a friend of Alan's. May I know who you are again?"
Laura: "My na is Laura, and this is my cousin Carla. We are close friends of Alan. Would you mind if we went inside? Talking here at the door is not appropriate."
Lana took a deep look at the two beauties as she felt her stomach clench when they ntioned that they were close friends with Alan.
Lana: "I'm so sorry, please co in. Auntie Ariana is in the garden with my mother."
Both Carla's and Laura's eyes widened as they did not expect this girl's mother to be here.
Following after Lana, they reached the garden.
Ariana, who saw the two girls following Lana into the garden, stood up as she welcod them.
Ariana: "Welco! I thought you forgot about ."
Carla: "How could we forget about soone who is so beautiful like you? We were jamd with work and couldn't co. Please forgive us."
Ariana: "I'm just joking; I really miss you a lot. Co have a seat; let introduce you to my friend, who is like a little sister to .
You two have t Lana; this is her mother, Rosaline Hunt.
Rosa, those two are Carla and Laura. Don't let their young age fool you; both of them are successful young ladies. Carla is the president of the Chamber of Comrce that Alan works at, and Laura is the head operator there.
They are like a family to us.
Rosalie: "It is always nice to et such charming ladies. My na is Rosaline Hunt."
With a smile on her face, Rosaline greeted the two beauties, holding back the surprise in her heart.
Carla and Laura saw the beautiful woman next to Ariana, who was full of grace and a noble aura that was surrounding her as if she was wearing it like a mantle.
Carla: "It's an honor to hear such a word. My na is Carla Fairfax; pleasure to et you."
Laura "Laura Fairfax Nice to et you."
Ariana: "Then everyone have a seat. How about so tea?"
Ariana, who broke the ice between the ladies carrying the conversation, and soon they started talking about almost everything.
Rosaline: "So that's how he got the job at your Chamber of Comrce. Little Alan is indeed capable."
Carla: "Yes, he was amazing."
Ariana: "The cake I baked in the morning is almost ready. I'll go check on it; please continue."
Ariana, who left the ladies in a harmonious atmosphere, did not know that the mont she entered the house, a blizzard of silence descended.
Carla: "It is indeed a huge honor; who would have expected the noble northern hunts to be here?"
Lana: "I could say the sa. Who would have thought that we would et the famous Fairfax in a small town like this?"
Laura: "I hate beating around the bush, so I'm going to ask, Lady Hunt, what is your purpose in coming here?"
With her guard fully up, Laura went for the jugular.
Rosaline: "Other than my friendship with Big Sis, whom I ca to like more every day, I guess I can say that Alan saved the lives of my daughter and husband in a sticky situation. And he was recently on a wild campaign alone with my daughter, so we waited for them here as big sister was kind enough to extend an invitation for us to stay."
As if lightning hit them, Laura and Carla froze.
Carla: "You are staying here!!"
Laura: "Can the great hunts not afford a hotel or sothing?"
Lana: "Why would we go to a hotel when Auntie, who sees us as a family, was kind enough to let us stay with them? Even so, we are noble and hunts; that doesn't an we can be wasteful."
Rosaline: "I guess it's my turn now. Why would the boss and the general manager of the Chamber of Comrce that Alan's working at be in such an intimate relationship with Alan's mother, even visiting in the middle of the afternoon like it was an everyday thing?"
Carla: "Thanks to Alan, we managed to face a huge challenge and get over it. With ti we visited to thank his family, and naturally, you know how wonderful Ariana can be, so we beco close like family."
Lana: "I would love to hear the details!!"
Laura: "And I would love to hear your details!!"
Soon a different form of warfare started as both sides exchanged stories to prove who was closer to Alan and his family.
Rosaline: "So you an every item in the auction that is making waves right now, even promising 9th class treasure, was actually prepared by Alan himself?"
Carla: "Yes, he is beyond amazing. All the items actually were provided by him after he visited the black market in Doppler City to get so resources he needed at the ti."
Lana: "Just for reference sake, how many treasures are there?"
Laura: "Two 9th class treasures, 6 8th class treasures, 18 7th class treasures, 54 6th class treasures."
Rosaline: "What!!!"
Lana: "What!!"
Clearly it was sothing out of comprehension, as both of them almost did not believe what Laura said.
Rosaline: "Is the kid a magnet for treasure or sothing? This is a huge amount in a 3-day trip and to a black market too."
Carla: "That was our reaction to when we first saw the treasures before our eyes."
Lana: "Incredible!!!"
Rosaline took deep breaths as she looked at both young ladies, who were beautiful and smart from a very good family, and she felt a headache.
Rosaline sent a telepathic transmission to her young daughter.
"You have a formidable opponent, so you need to up your ga if you truly like that kid."
Lana, who heard her mother's voice vibrating inside her head, blushed. Then she looked at both beautiful sisters in front of her.
Lana: "Lady Carla and Lady Laura, I will not lose."
With fire burning inside her eyes, she was the first to declare war.
Carla: "You ca late, and you want to kick us out and close the gate. Not happening on my watch. I will not lose either."
Laura: " too. The best will win."
Staring at each other with a high intensity as lightning was getting out of their eyes, clashing with each other, showing their determination.
At that mont Ariana ca in with cakes.
Ariana: "It's good that you are getting along together; why don't we have so cake?"
Rosaline smiled stiffly at her big sister as she was thinking on the inside, "Oh, big sis, they definitely get along well together.
Rosaline: "We are also participating in the auction that your Chamber of Comrce is preparing."
Laura: "It's an honor; I can give you the clear list for all the items to take a look at."
Rosaline: "I would appreciate that. My husband was secretly excited about this auction."
Ariana: "Did they tell you the story about the treasures?"
Lana: "They did to us; big brother Alan is amazing."
Rosaline: "I just want to know, big sis, how did you raise him exactly to beco like this?"
Ariana: "I didn't do anything great; I only taught him by example and left him to his own devices. He was always dependable and mature beyond his years."
From inside the house, hearing the laughter of the ladies, Mason and Alan were curious, so they ca to see what was going on.
The mont they entered, Rosaline introduced her husband.
Rosaline: "This is my husband, Mason Hunt. Dear, these two young ladies are Carla and Laura Fairfax. They are very, very good friends of Alan's."
Rosaline was truly gentle on the outside and a devil on the inside as she empathized with the friendship between the two ladies and Alan.
Mason: "It's a pleasure eting you both."
Even though he greeted the two ladies, his face darkened as he looked at Alan.
Alan: "You've got my ssage; why don't you have lunch with us today?"
Pretending not to notice Mason's look, Alan talked with Laura and Carla.
Carla: "Of course we can't go back without eating sothing you cooked; maybe at lunch you can tell us about your latest adventure with Lady Lana."
Laura: "Indeed, it must have been exciting to spend 15 days in the wild together."
Both of them looked proper as they smiled at Alan. To the untrained eye, it looked like a pleasant interaction, but beyond their smiles, Alan felt the anger in their voices and knew that he was in deep trouble.
