Inside the luxurious reception hall, one refined-looking man was sitting across from a beggar, completely breaking the picture of the marvelous room around them.
Mason: "Now why don't you talk about that debt?"
"You really should learn sothing about patience; the rich and powerful people like you should have a lot of it."
Mason watched the smile that was clearly displaying a level of pleasure in this weird situation.
Mason: "If you want a free al, my doors are always open."
"A friend once told , never take anything from the rich, because everything they offer has a price tag stamped behind it."
Mason: "You have a wise friend; you should listen to him."
The beggar was completely relaxed as he gracefully enjoyed his tea.
"I can see that you are all jittery, so I won't play on your tired nerves. I ca here for the flower you have promised ."
Mason's eyes widened as he could not comprehend the dubious request.
Mason: "You're here for a flower? I promise to give you a flower!!? When did I even et you?"
"Indeed you rich folks have the mory of a cuckoo bird. One year ago you promised the flower. Don't tell that you are planning on going back on your word; after all, you do owe a great deal."
Raising his right hand as he scratched his chin, sinking deep in thought as he tried to recall making such a promise or eting such a beggar, only for him to get even more confused.
Mason: "Huh!! I truthfully do not rember eting you at all. Why don't you stop talking in puzzles and just get straight into it?
What type of flower is the heaven and Earth treasure you say that I promised you?
The beggar gently put down the ceramic teacup on the table as he straightened his back, completely shutting down Mason's expectations.
"You didn't promise a heaven and Earth treasure."
Mason: "Then what the hell is the flower you're talking about!?"
"I'm talking about the flower growing in the backyard of your own garden."
Mason had a completely stupefied look on his face as his irritation level skyrocketed because of this beggar who talks in riddles.
...….
Inside the glass greenhouse south of the huge mansion, a few ladies were having a small tea party.
Rosaline: "Recently you have been spacing out and getting distracted a lot, big sister. Is there anything on your mind?"
The beauty next to Rosaline had a slightly forced smile on her face as she answered.
Ariana: "Nothing. I'm just thinking that it has been a full year; this is the longest that he has been away from us."
Lana: "Auntie, I promise you Alan is fine, and it won't be long before he cos back."
Ariana smiled at the young beauty sitting across from her.
Ariana: "I'm so sorry I made you all worried; thank you, Lana."
Not far away from the ladies, a maid was following after a 6-year-old young girl running all over the place, hopping from one flower bed to another.
Lana: "Lily's so energetic."
Ariana: "I feel sorry for the maid running after her."
Rosaline: "Kids are energetic by nature."
Just as they were talking trivia, a butler interrupted their conversation.
"I apologize for interrupting your gathering, my lady Rosaline; we have an uninvited guest."
Raising her Phoenix-like eyebrow, she raised her hand, motioning the butter to co closer.
The old butler ca closer to Rosaline as he whispered a few words to her, changing the tranquil expression on her face.
After he said what he wanted, the butler retreated to the back.
Ariana, who saw what happened, could not help but ask.
Ariana: "Is everything all right? "Is there a problem?"
Rosaline: "No, everything is alright; we just have a guest who ca uninvited. I will go to receive the guest with Mason; please stay with the girls, sis."
Ariana simply nodded her head as she watched Rosaline follow the butler back to the main house.
She was not the only one who was confused; Lana also found it unusual.
.....
Mason: "Haven't I told you not to talk in riddles? You are starting to overstay your welco, my guest, so unless you say it clearly, I would have to cut our eting short."
"You're not a good negotiator, are you? Completely getting angry so easily."
Rosaline: "It is one of the best qualities in my husband, as you can see he's an emotional being."
A beauty ca out from the inside of the house. Followed by a butler. She was fast to deliver a coback line to the beggar.
She moved with grace, giving a simple nod while she used her hands to raise her dress slightly, delivering a noble greeting to the person who looked like a beggar in front of her as she sat down next to her husband.
"Finally ca the true player, and the one who holds the reign of power in this household, the one who can fulfill my request."
As soon as these words ca from the beggar's mouth, Mason's face turned dark as he clenched at his fist, completely enraged by the unfiltered comnt destroying his masculinity.
Rosaline: " I am rely here to support my husband; he is the head of our household, and he is the one who has the power to grant your request or deny it.
So if I were you, I would tread carefully.
Now, please state your request, as sadly for you who ca uninvited our schedules are packed, and we do not have enough ti to entertain you."
Being completely the backbone for her husband as she did not lose in front of this nasty mouth of a beggar relaxing in her own house and insulting her own husband.
Hearing what his wife said was like the water putting out the fire inside his chest as he took a deep breath, completely easing his anger.
"My request is simple, and I have already stated it, my lady: I would like the flower that I have been promised."
Mason: "Clarify your request. If the flower is not a heaven and Earth treasure, then what is it, and when did I promise you such a thing? No, where did I et you in the first place?"
Rosaline: "So you are saying that we promised you a flower."
"Yes, you did, the most precious flower growing in your own backyard."
Watching the beggar ignore his presence slightly angered Mason.
anwhile, Rosaline's face changed as her smile deepened.
Rosaline: "Are you afraid of stating your request in simple words, sir?"
"I have never known fear that I haven't conquered. I am talking about the marriage proposal for your young princess!!!?"
SHATTER!!
The elegant cup of tea in Mason's hand broke down into hundreds of pieces.
As the whole aura surrounding Mason changed with the bloodlust flickering like a fla in his eyes.
Mason: "I wanted to see what kind of joke it could be when soone broke into my ho from the front door openly!! So I thought I would humor you, but you really have given up on living, haven't you?"
Rosaline: "You have really gone for the juggler. Who the hell are you, and who sent you here to start this charade!?"
Completely relaxed opposite her husband, she was sipping tea while spitting venom at the beggar-looking man.
"Why would I be giving up on living? I have told you that I am asking for what is mine by right.
You have already given her hand once for , so what is wrong with coming here today to ask for what is mine?
You can try to kill to keep it hidden, but only if you are able to."
Not losing one bit to Rosaline as the beggar kept his calm, enjoying the tea in his hand as if it was any other afternoon.
Mason was barely able to contain his anger as he was one stop away from dismbering this foul creature in front of him.
From the inside of the house, three ladies walked towards the reception area at the front of the house, coincidentally hearing Mason's loud, angry voice vibrating through the enormous mansion hall.
Ariana: "It looks serious; we should not interrupt your parents, Lana."
Lana: "We'll just go and see what is going on and what is making my father so angry."
Lily: "Uncle Mason is screaming!!"
Their presence as they walked to the reception hall alerted the beggar, who turned his head as he watched the three ladies co closer.
Lana: "I'm sorry to interrupt your eting; may I ask what is going on, Father?"
Mason had a dark face as he turned to take a look at his daughter, making him even angrier.
Rosaline was the one who answered them.
Rosaline: "You can sit, Lana; you too, big sis. We have an interesting guest who is demanding the most precious flower in our house."
The beggar turned his head as he kept looking at Ariana, Lana, and Lily, which scared Little Lily, prompting her to hid behind her mother.
Ariana: "Is it truly okay for us to sit with you?"
Rosaline: " Please do. I want to take your opinion as a fellow mother about this gentleman's request, if he can be called as such."
