"Divine Light Fist!"
"Divine Light Fist!"
Jedith's impassioned speech left no impression on Eiji whatsoever. Soon after, at Jedith's request, Eris and Aqua charged forward, unleashing holy light-filled fists that covered the entire field of vision against the massive barrier enveloping the Demon King's Castle!
The visual effect was exceptionally stunning!
The barrier shook violently for a mont before cracking and shattering with a series of crisp sounds.
"This goddess can finally return to the heavenly realm!"
After breaking the barrier, without waiting for Jedith's command from behind, Aqua imdiately charged into the Demon King's Castle like an excited husky.
"Demon King, co out and face your death! I'll defeat you and return to the heavenly realm!"
"I'll maintain the barrier, everyone please enter one by one!"
Eris's mouth twitched slightly, but she maintained her composure, single-handedly widening the opening in the barrier significantly.
Eiji and Kazuma mixed in with the troops, entering the Demon King's Castle one by one through the opening.
"Why is everyone standing here without moving?"
The main force ca to a stop in the square before the main gate of the Demon King's Castle, showing no signs of advancing. Kazuma couldn't help but voice his confusion.
He glanced at Eiji, thinking this was the boss's arrangent, only to find that the boss looked equally puzzled.
"Strange, why is it so quiet?"
Kazuma ca back to his senses.
That's right, the entire Demon King's Castle was too quiet. Not a single Demon Lord Army soldier could be seen, completely unlike the scene of being attacked at their doorstep!
Before leaving, Eiji had indeed instructed the Demon Lord Army soldiers to make so showy but ineffective moves. While it was normal not to have a downpour, it was bizarre not to even hear the thunder!
"Your Highness, we've found soldiers lying on the ground here!"
A knight ca to report to Jedith.
Following his guidance, Jedith saw a fully ard Dark Knight in the corridor, though he was currently lying on the ground.
"Breathing steadily, doesn't seem injured... Is he unconscious or in deep sleep?"
Jedith couldn't quite figure out what trick this was.
"Hey, wake up!"
The knight slapped the Dark Knight's face, trying to wake him up.
"Don't waste your effort. This is a sleep spell. He won't wake up until he's slept a full eight hours."
Jedith shook his head and stopped the knight's actions.
Sleep magic is a type of support magic with low skill point consumption, but it only takes effect when cast at close range. Few mages are willing to learn such an unrewarding spell.
Except for those Crimson Demon Clan mbers with exceptionally high talent and too much ti on their hands!
Did the Demon King cast sleep spells on the soldiers in the Demon King's Castle to let them advance more easily?
Various thoughts swirled in Jedith's mind as he issued another command.
"Scouts, step forward! Gather intelligence from the castle!"
Over a dozen thief-class scouts stepped out, each activating their stealth skills and disappearing from the square.
"Your Highness, there are no awake soldiers in the Demon King's Castle!"
"Sa here, all soldiers are asleep, even the ghost-type monsters. Truly unbelievable!"
"No sign of any executives!"
Soon, these scouts returned one after another.
"Boss, what's this about?"
Kazuma cautiously studied Eiji's expression.
His face was as dark as the bottom of a pot.
The drama he had ticulously sched for so long might be ruined!
"In that case, all reincarnators and mbers of the Crimson Demon Clan, please join in investigating the castle!"
After a mont of contemplation, Jedius made a decision.
Two minutes later, Jedius led a strike team of about thirty people and stord into the Demon King's Castle.
Just as the scouts had reported, all the soldiers on the first floor of the Demon King's Castle had collapsed. Upon reaching the second floor, they found the soldiers there in the sa state, and the soldiers on the third and fourth floors were also in a deep slumber.
This familiar style reminded Eiji of an opponent he often encountered unexpectedly.
"The Demon Lord's Hall is at the very top!"
Hearing this, Jedius felt a surge of energy.
Though he had no idea what the Demon King was plotting, with peace just one step away, he was so excited that he charged toward the top floor almost without thinking!
The knights were startled and hurried to follow. Fortunately, no traps had been set along the way, and they reached the top floor unimpeded.
"Your Highness, allow !"
The knight commander stepped forward and pushed open the double doors for Jedius.
Inside the hall.
In theory, all the executives, including Wolbach, Wiz, and Barnier, should have been gathered here at this mont. Then Eiji would suddenly betray them, transform into the Demon King, and shock everyone.
But now, not a single figure could be seen in the hall.
Only on the throne at the far end sat a figure lounging lazily.
She was an exquisitely charming woman, with long black hair cascading like a waterfall. She appeared to be no more than seventeen or eighteen years old, wearing only a bikini-like outfit that covered her voluptuous key areas, revealing vast stretches of snow-white skin. Her seductive gaze swept around, causing the n present to gradually shift into awkward stances.
"Finally here, are you?"
The black-haired girl rose from the throne, her languid voice evoking wild imaginations.
"Help! Help! Kazuma, co save !"
A desperate, weeping cry echoed from beside the throne.
Kazuma looked closely and sighed in exasperation as he saw Aqua, bound by special chains, lying weakly on the floor, crying and wailing for him as if her life depended on it.
"Is that... could that be—"
Jedius instinctively ignored Aqua, his face slightly flushed as he stared intently at the girl.
Was that the Demon King?
Though the Demon King had previously appeared with a male voice, no one had ever seen their true form... Could it be that beneath that armor was such a charming and alluring figure?
Oh my.
What if, just maybe, there was a possibility!
What if I could marry the Demon King to ensure permanent peace between humans and demons?
"Who the hell are you?!"
Then a furious roar shattered Jedius's fantasy.
Turning to look, he was surprised to see Mr. Nangou glaring murderously at the black-haired girl.
"Are you a succubus? I've never seen you before!"
Eiji's gaze fell on the black-haired girl's back.
She had a pair of small black wings on her back, and what seed to be a heart-shaped tail wrapped around her tailbone—the hallmark of a succubus!
But Eiji could swear on his dignity that he had never seen this succubus during his ti in the Demon King's Castle!
"Of course you haven't t ."
The black-haired girl lifted her slender jade-like fingers, slowly tracing the seductive curve from her hips up to her chest. Her posture and deanor were utterly alluring, yet her eyes alone held a chill as cold as if she were facing her father's murderer.
"I only entered this world ten days ago, but do you rember when you last summoned a succubus, Demon King?"
