Stepping out from the ancient, pitch-black gate, the mont Eiji's feet touched the ground, he found himself in a completely new world.
Beneath his feet was a vast expanse of erald-green grassland, stretching as far as the eye could see. The warm sunlight poured down from the sky, and a gentle breeze brushed against his face, bringing with it a refreshing coolness that instantly made him feel more open and free.
Just like in the world of 'Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry,' this new world also felt sowhat surreal to Eiji at this mont, as if he were viewing it from a perspective that transcended everything.
Eiji looked down at his left hand.
The rabbit he had been carrying was nowhere to be seen, leaving only a few strands of white fur.
"It seems I can't bring other living beings with ," Eiji pondered.
Moreover, during the process of crossing over, the pitch-black gate hadn't asked him where he wanted to land. He had simply walked through the gate and naturally arrived in this new world.
It seed that the landing spot was randomly determined. Based on this crossing, it appeared that safety wasn't sothing he needed to worry about.
Eiji turned around and looked at the pitch-black gate behind him.
After he stepped out, the gate had quietly closed, and the golden inscription on the door had changed to read 'Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry.' However, the glow of the inscription was very faint.
He pushed against the gate, but no matter how much force he applied, it wouldn't budge.
"Does this an I can't go back for now?" Eiji frowned.
Was there a cooldown period for crossing? Would he have to wait a certain amount of ti before the gate would refresh and allow him to return to the previous world?
Surely it wouldn't strand him here for the rest of his life, preventing him from ever going back.
He hoped not.
He also hoped he wouldn't have to wait decades and return as an old man.

Eiji glanced around and, seeing no one in sight, willed the pitch-black gate to disappear from behind him.
At the sa ti, the transcendent perspective he had been experiencing also vanished, and the real, tangible world appeared before his eyes. Only then did he feel truly grounded.
Before setting out, he had experinted with a cara.
When he entered that transcendent perspective, his body would disappear from the spot, but only within a five-ter radius.
If he left that radius or willed it to disappear, his body would reappear.
However, as long as he remained within that circle, no one from the outside world could affect him, and conversely, he couldn't interact with anyone outside either.

As Eiji approached, the massive city gradually ca into view.
Although he couldn't see inside the city, the walls themselves were built in a style reminiscent of the dieval era, constructed from stone bricks. However, they were abnormally high, reaching at least several dozen ters.
But this actually fit the world's setting.
From what little he rembered, the world of "Danmachi" had a strong RPG ga-like atmosphere, with gods, humans, monsters, and a very distinct fantasy flavor.
"I wonder what ti period it is now... but I guess it doesn't really matter to ."
With that thought in mind, Eiji arrived at the city gates.
He had almost forgotten the plot of 'Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry,' so of course, the plot of the unrelated "Danmachi" world was long gone from his mory. He only vaguely rembered so of the famous settings.
Outside the city gates, a long line of people waited for inspection.
In the line were rchants with horse-drawn carriages loaded with goods, farrs with hoes dressed in simple clothes, and warriors cloaked in capes, ard with swords and clad in armour... There were even so races that looked very similar to humans but had distinct differences.
Among these races were beastn with animal ears on their heads, dwarves who were only half the height of an average person, and elves with leaf-like pointed ears and strikingly beautiful features.
These were all races that only existed in fantasy novels, but now they were right before Eiji's eyes.
This was truly his first ti seeing them.
It felt incredibly fresh.
Eiji sighed inwardly and then walked to the end of the line.
"Um... are you a god?"
The person in front of him was an ordinary human man, dressed in coarse brown linen clothes, with the simple, hardworking deanour of a labourer.
When he saw Eiji approaching, he couldn't hide his surprise and asked sowhat nervously.
Huh, they really do speak Japanese.
Eiji understood him without any difficulty. The man was indeed speaking the universal language of ani worlds, which made Eiji breathe a sigh of relief.
"No, I'm just an ordinary human," Eiji shook his head.
I am Eiji, an unremarkable E-rank Blazer, just an ordinary human.
"Is that so?"
The man seed to understand him and looked quite surprised.
"I heard that gods are all very handso, and male gods are especially good-looking, so I thought you might be one... If you have sothing to do, why don't you go ahead? I'm in no hurry."
He seed relieved and stepped aside, gesturing for Eiji to take his place in line.
"Thanks, then."
Eiji blinked and, not wanting to refuse, stepped forward.
"Please, go ahead."
"After you..."

Eiji had already reached the front of the line.
