Finish off in one go?

Roa was taken aback for a mont upon hearing this, then burst into strange, loud laughter.

"Hahahaha, have you hit your head or sothing? No matter how you look at it, I'm clearly stronger right now!"

Although he had been suppressed earlier, the situation was now completely different.

It was obvious that after his previous attacks, Eiji couldn't even fight back, let alone defeat him—especially not in one go.

What other explanation could there be besides him having hit his head?

"Getting serious now?"

rlin's expression shifted slightly.

"Alright then, I'll leave this stage to you."

He smiled and stepped aside.

To be honest, he was sowhat curious about what exactly "getting serious" entailed.

His right hand tightly gripped his staff, as if ready to intervene at the slightest sign of trouble.

"Hmph, I'd like to see how you plan to finish off!"

Roa stood there leisurely, his face overflowing with confidence.

In his current state, unless it was a Heroic Spirit with special advantages against vampires, he feared no one!

After all, this was just a Singularity—how many powerful Heroic Spirits could there possibly be?

Eiji held his hands as if gripping sothing.

The twin swords in his hands transford, turning into a pair of pitch-black greatswords.

At the sa ti, he continued walking step by step, closing in on Roa.

Roa narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed firmly on Eiji's entire body.

This ti, he would definitely kill him for sure!

As soon as Eiji got close, he would imdiately activate the grand magecraft he had been hiding all along!

Then he would strike swiftly, attacking from both sides—he refused to believe Eiji could dodge unscathed this ti!

"Now!"

Roa's eyes turned cold.

The distance between them was less than a ter. In that instant, Eiji stepped forward, completely unaware, entering the area in front of him while raising his twin swords.

Roa imdiately prepared to strike!

"Slice!"

In the next mont, a cold gleam flashed!

The sound of tearing flesh was hidden within the vibrations of the atmosphere, sword energy ripped through the air, and blood splattered across the sky as if it cost nothing.

"——"

In an instant, the world turned upside down.

Roa stared blankly as several dismbered limbs rolled before his eyes, falling to the ground like scraps of paper.

"What just happened?"

His face was filled with utter confusion.

"I was dismbered? Why? How did it happen? Wasn't I about to strike? What occurred in that split second?"

He couldn't comprehend it.

It was as if ti itself had skipped a beat, and he alone had lost the mory of that mont.

The only thing he rembered was the flash of two cold gleams.

"..."

For a mont, even rlin was stunned, blinking repeatedly.

"I said I'd finish you off in one go!"

An indifferent voice ca from behind him.

Roa's pupils contracted as he turned his head in disbelief.

Eiji stood holding the pitch-black twin swords, his posture clearly indicating he had just finished swinging them—and he was even standing with his back to Roa.

As if he didn't consider Roa a threat at all.

Roa felt a sting in his heart.

"It's just dismbernt—I can recover from this kind of injury in no ti... I can't recover?"

His expression suddenly changed drastically.

He tried to manipulate his blood flow to reassemble his shattered body—a process that normally wouldn't take even a second.

But at this mont, for so reason, reassembling his body had beco extrely difficult.

It wasn't that he couldn't recover, but it would require considerable ti.

At least ten seconds or more!

"Is this a curse?"

Roa looked at his shattered limbs, carefully examining the scent lingering on the cross-sections, his expression turning grim.

The remnants of a curse clung to the broken limbs.

As a Grand Magus, he could discern it clearly.

That sword possessed cursed power—sothing he had completely failed to notice earlier!

"Correct. This is the Cursed Sword."

Eiji turned around, the massive black sword in his hand strikingly identical to the one Revis wielded in the Danmachi world. After clashing with her several tis, he had long been capable of replicating the Cursed Sword.

"Even so, what of it?"

Roa continued to sneer coldly.

"Regardless, you absolutely cannot kill !"

The deploynt of the Cursed Sword at this critical juncture had indeed taken Roa by surprise.

But his immortality wasn't so fragile as to be broken by a re curse.

Roa channeled all his energy into mobilizing the blood within his body, burning a vast quantity of it as a cost to forcefully expel the curse afflicting him, striving to recover at the fastest possible speed.

"Damn it... If my limbs were still intact, I could simply sever the cursed sections and recover imdiately... Did this bastard dismber my limbs precisely to target this weakness?"

Roa inwardly shuddered.

Beast Form was already his complete state; he couldn't manifest any additional limbs.

Throughout their battle thus far, what left the deepest impression on him was how this opponent always seed to anticipate his moves two or three steps ahead, sealing off any possibility of resistance.

"Trying to buy ti through conversation?"

The words from above startled Roa once again.

His thoughts had been seen through yet again!

"No matter. I'll grant you that much ti."

The indifferent tone sounded as though he had already been completely subdued.

Roa felt a wave of relief, but secretly gritted his teeth.

That voice, filled with nonchalance, as if certain of his defeat, felt like an insult to his pride.

"What did you just do?"

rlin looked over, curiosity evident in his eyes, which sparkled with keen interest.

Do you have to ask that right in front of the enemy?

What if the enemy deciphers your ally's technique?

However, Eiji harbored no such concerns.

"This is my trump card."

Eiji gazed indifferently at the limbs gradually reassembling on the ground.

"To be precise, it's an evolved version of my trump card."

As he spoke.

Roa had already clambered back to his feet, his shattered limbs rapidly restoring themselves.

Thanks to this, he had paid the price in copious amounts of blood.

The mont he recovered, Roa lunged forward fiercely!

"Ambush!"

rlin narrowed his eyes.

Was this guy refusing to believe he could lose, thinking that being dismbered earlier was just a fluke?

Had he failed to notice Eiji's deanor, as if everything was firmly under control?

"Shhhk!"

The cold gleam flashed once more!

Roa's face was ferocious.

Then he collapsed to the ground.

His body was once again torn into over a dozen pieces, curses lingering on the cross-sections.

"My trump card, 'Flash of Lightning,' possesses power that absolutely surpasses the opponent's neural reaction speed."

The leisurely explanation arrived belatedly.

"However, during a certain battle, I realized the limitations of this technique. Although human neural response ti cannot exceed 0.1 seconds, the speed of unconditioned reflexes is different. Since then, I've made improvents to this move."

"While absolutely surpassing neural reaction speed, it also absolutely surpasses unconditioned reflex speed."

"In other words, this is the absolute first strike."

This was the evolved Lightning Flash.

He spoke very frankly, revealing his secret without any concealnt.
