Ultimately, Arcueid's strength was already more than sufficient. Ordinary Dead Apostles were hardly worth ntioning, and even city lord-level Dead Apostles were nothing more than oversized punching bags in front of her!

The white-haired Dead Apostle was almost completely defenseless against her, being thoroughly suppressed throughout the entire fight.

Even when he used flas, Arcueid quickly countered them.

"Is he really just an ordinary Dead Apostle?"

Eiji breathed a slight sigh of relief.

So far, this white-haired Dead Apostle hadn't displayed any particularly remarkable power, completely unlike those Ancestors who were supposedly ridiculously overpowered by design.

Even so, he didn't let his guard down, his eyes still fixed intently on the battle.

Being counter-killed at the last mont was sothing he absolutely did not want to experience.

"Strange, his breath..."

Eiji suddenly noticed a detail.

From the white-haired Dead Apostle's mouth, faint white mist continuously billowed out.

It was just like the breath people exhale during winter.

But the strange thing was, it was currently early sumr—there was no way anyone should be exhaling white breath, right?

Under these circumstances, the only possibility for exhaling white breath was—that white-haired Dead Apostle's body temperature was far lower than the air temperature!

Eiji's internal alarm bells suddenly rang loudly.

"Arcueid, be careful!"

He shouted a warning to Arcueid, who was charging forward to deliver a fatal blow.

"Grrraaaaaaaah—!!"

The next mont, bathed in a tsunami-like cold current and constantly convulsing, the white-haired Dead Apostle suddenly let out a furious roar!

"Bzzzt—!"

In the blink of an eye, the world changed.

The white-haired Dead Apostle spread his arms wide, as if embracing the world.

A massive cold current erupted abruptly with him at its center, transforming the world in an instant with the force of a tidal wave!

This wasn't a re phenonon.

It was an alteration of the world itself.

Facing that overwhelming cold current surging forth like an avalanche, Eiji felt as if he were confronting the heavens and earth, with infinite force pressing down upon him—a sense of despair and helplessness against an unstoppable power spontaneously arose within him.

Arcueid instinctively tried to evade.

But for so reason, as if recalling sothing, she crossed her arms in front of herself in a protective stance.

Imdiately after.

The white-haired Dead Apostle coldly raised his hand.

"Boom!"

A trendous roar echoed.

Arcueid's figure was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing into a building wall, with no further movent.

Looking around.

The world before them had turned completely white.

Countless frosts extinguished the surrounding flas in an instant. Buildings, vehicles, signs, windows—everything was covered in frigid ice.

Eiji stared wide-eyed at everything before him.

The area of effect was one kiloter centered on the white-haired Dead Apostle.

Within this one-kiloter radius, all living beings had their temperatures instantly stripped away, falling unconscious into hell without even realizing it.

In that single mont, the air temperature had definitely dropped to over two hundred degrees below zero, even approaching absolute zero!

No living creature could possibly resist such a sudden cold current!

What terrifying ice control ability!

That guy—wasn't he supposed to be a fire-based Dead Apostle?

Why did he suddenly switch to using ice?

Most of the items he carried were prepared specifically for the Fla Dead Apostle. With the sudden reversal of abilities, his tools instantly beca useless!

"Arcueid..."

Eiji glanced at the hole in the wall not far behind him.

In that split second, Arcueid had moved to protect him.

He had been standing right behind her.

"Did she think I couldn't withstand that icy current?"

Eiji thought to himself.

That assumption was natural.

No matter how strong he was, he was still human—extre temperature differences remained lethal!

"With my constitution, I'd be fine as long as I wasn't exposed to that environnt for long. What a fool!"

She had clearly been poised to evade, aning she'd had ample room to dodge.

If not for protecting him, she would never have been sent flying.

"Hah..."

The white-haired Dead Apostle let out a frigid sigh.

"How dare you steal so much of my heat? That was painstakingly accumulated!"

Forced to unleash his icy power.

His skin visibly dried out, and a faint layer of frost ford on his face.

His expression darkened, clearly furious.

"I see. The glacial flow within you is so intense that you use flas to warm yourself?"

A voice cut through.

The youth approached, gripping a blade that shimred like water.

"Was your earlier mindless state because you'd frozen your own senses with your power?"

Only after unleashing his true power did he regain his reason.

And precisely because he had been acting on pure instinct without rationality, he had rampaged so recklessly through the streets.

Highly provocative words.

They successfully shifted the white-haired Dead Apostle's attention from Arcueid to him.

"Human... Though under the White Princess's protection, to move freely in such conditions—you're no ordinary foe. The Holy Church or the Mage's Association? Hmph, neither matters."

The white-haired Dead Apostle snorted coldly, his eyes now sharp with intellect.

"Your sword stance is a ss... Yet you dare raise your weapon against . Do you truly wish to fight?"

His deanor was icy.

He did not see Eiji as a threat.

In other words, he didn't even consider Eiji—ard as he was—an enemy.

Such was the pride of a high-ranking Dead Apostle!

"I'm not one to leave debts unpaid."

Eiji held his blade casually, utterly disregarding the critique.

A ssy sword stance?

Sotis, when an opponent is utterly ignorant, they beco a laughingstock in your eyes.

"I owe Arcueid a favor from earlier. I intend to repay it now!"

Despite his relaxed posture, his gaze was piercingly sharp.

"So, you do intend to fight ?"

The white-haired Dead Apostle filtered the aning from his words, his expression unmoved.

Simultaneously, he raised his weapon.

A lance.

A massive knight's lance, gleaming like moonlight in brilliant silver, over five ters long!

An ordinary person couldn't even lift it, yet he brandished it as if it were weightless.

It was this very lance that had pierced Arcueid's abdon and sent her flying.

Eiji remained silent, his sharp eyes providing all the answer needed.

The atmosphere in the arena instantly turned murderous.

"W-Wait...!"

Just then, a voice suddenly ca from behind.

Arcueid erged from the building, clutching her blood-stained abdon. Her expression carried a faint trace of pain, and her voice trembled slightly.

"That guy is a Dead Apostle who possesses the Principle Blood Ring, which ans he's one of the Twenty-Seven Ancestors. You can't win against him alone..."
