He patted her head and waited until she cald down.
Then her mom got up and went to wash her face which was drenched with tears when Jay made a sinister look with an evil laughter.
"You surely know how to amuse , SYSTEM!"
Jay was surprised and at the sa ti amused by the system because of a sudden notification that appeared.
It was a thrilling mission for him.
"You really know how to convince I'm doing the tasks..."

"Haha, I really wanna go there right now but I have to prepare myself since I'm not that strong after all I'm still F-Rank hunter."
Jay was thinking calmly about the mission. Since the rewards were high then the mission should also be difficult to complete.
However, he had already decided to go on this mission regardless of what dangers he faces.
The he suddenly stood up and called out to his mother.
"Mom, I'll be going, tomorrow is the first day if university and I don't wanna miss it."
His mom gave a smile and said, "Okay, return safely. Co soon next ti too, at least once a week you can visit us right?"
"I'll think about it Mom, bye"
Jay waves his hand and imdiately takes his leave but before going he had kept so money with a letter for her mother saying to repair the door which was broken.
"Hehe~ that boy, he has grown up, are you watching this dear?"
IN THE EVENING AROUND 7 PM AT JAY'S HOUSE...
"I bought this skill crystal stone with all the money I had left. I hope I will get so decent ability."
NOTE: A skill crystal stone is actually a crystal having skills stored inside them. A hunter takes the crystal and swallows it after which he/she gains a skill. Gaining skill usually depends on luck since it's uncertain what kind of skill may be stored inside the crystal but sotis a crystal stored only specific skills of specific rank.
Jay without thinking much puts the crystal in his mouth and swallows it imdiately.
After doing so he starts to diate and cultivate the stone. He circulated the flow of his energy inside his body to make the attainnt of the skill faster than normal rates.
"Uhh... what's going on? It feels like my stomach might burst open anyti."
The pain from which Jay was suffering was much more grueso than death itself. His stomach was bulging then contracting and again bulging.
The amount of energy that the crystal had was already beyond what Jay could handle.
Then suddenly he coughs up blood.
'Cough'
He suddenly opens his eyes and looks at his blood.
"Dammit..."
He suddenly falls down and slowly starts to lose consciousness.
"This wasn't how it was supposed to be..."
"I can't die yet... was everything in vain till now... help ....", his voice couldn't be heard by anyone.
Everything around him started to beco darker and all he found was pitch black with emptiness.
"Where am I?"
It was clearly a void without anything. Such a place was usually referred to as hell among hunters as it would be impossible to escape that space once you have entered since your consciousness won't return.
But for so reason Jay fet that his power grew and started to beco stronger. The more he entered this dark space more stronger his energy would beco leading him to feeling much better.
"Weird... why does this feel so familiar... it's like this darkness is my part... a part of my body."
