Chapter 2144: Whoever Started the Trouble Should End It

Ye Qianqian and Shen Luo’an were shocked when they heard this.

Shen Luo’an also felt shivers going down his spine.

Adult Manting was unaware of the existence of Young Manting while Young Manting could roughly deduce when Adult Manting regained consciousness.

Young Manting also demanded Shen Luo’an to love her only so that she could erase the existence of Adult Manting.

However, wasn’t she rely twelve years old?

How and why would a twelve-year-old girl harbor such thoughts?

One could not help but shudder at the thought of this.

Shen Zhilie seed to have expected Shen Luo’an to react like this.

He tapped his notebook with the tip of his pen and continued on slowly, “Of course, this is just my rough guess from what I have heard so far. Adult Manting might not necessarily be unaware of Young Manting’s existence. I’m not too sure yet.”

“Nonetheless, it’s a fact that Young Manting harbours malice towards Adult Manting,” Shen Luo’an said in a low and deep voice. “She does not want Adult Manting to reawake,” he said.

Actually, this was completely understandable.

However, Young Manting seed slightly different from what he had imagined.

She shouldn’t be behaving like this.

After a mont of silence, Shen Zhilie said, “Brother, you should keep a watchful eye on her. She has the ntality of an orphan. Even if she’s just a twelve-year-old, she will still feel inferior and withdrawn, she fears being abandoned after all.”

Shen Luo’an frowned upon hearing this.

Shen Zhilie looked at him and said slowly, “Based on research, a set of statistics show that most orphans feel lonely and inferior to those around them. They are selfish as they long to be loved and cared for. Adult Manting and Young Manting are very different in this sense. Sister Manting has lived with the family for so many years and thus, she would have a very different ntality. You can’t adopt Sister Manting’s way of thinking and use that as a asure to treat Young Manting.”

As Shen Zhilie continued to speak, he looked at Shen Luo’an to see how he would react.

Shen Luo’an laughed bitterly and said, “But, she’s also Manting. They’re both Manting.”

“They’re different,” said Shen Zhilie. “In cases of multiple personality disorder, each identity will have its own set of mories, personality and way of thinking. Between the main personality and the alternate personalities, one of them will be more in control.”

Shen Luo’an felt slightly uneasy when he heard this.

Ye Qianqian seed to have co up with a theory, for she exclaid, “So you an that Young Manting is currently in control?”

Shen Luo’an heart suddenly sank.

Shen Zhilie was silent for a mont before he nodded his head and said, “Young Manting might not necessarily be in control yet. But, judging from the current situation, it’s only a matter of ti before she becos the dominant personality.”

Shen Luo’an felt a complicated mix of emotions in his heart.

“Brother, Adult Manting and Young Manting are both Manting. Nonetheless, Adult Manting is the real Manting,” said Shen Zhilie.

Shen Zhilie did not say anything else after this.

Ye Qianqian felt slightly afraid when she heard what he had said. At the sa ti, her heart also went out to Shen Manting. She then tugged Shen Zhilie and asked, “Isn’t there a way for them to balance out?”

“There is,” Shen Zhilie replied. He then looked at Shen Luo’an calmly and said, “Whoever started the trouble should end it.”

...

After Shen Luo’an ca out from Shen Zhilie’s room, he saw Nanny He sitting on the sofa. She was facing the nursery and was peeling beans.

When Nanny He saw Shen Luo’an walk over to her, she used her chin and gestured ahead to indicate for him to head in that direction.

When Shen Luo’an walked over, he saw Shen Manting seated on the ground, playing with the baby.

Shen Manting looked up when she saw Shen Luo’an approach them and her gaze was cold, indifferent and completely calm.

“You’re here,” Shen Manting acknowledged coldly. She then got up and rubbed her child’s head before telling him, “You can play alone. Mommy has to discuss sothing with Daddy.”

She was undoubtedly Adult Manting.

Shen Luo’an felt slightly less tense as he followed her back into the room.

“Are you unwell?” Shen Luo’an asked as he stepped forward to grab hold of her hand. “You should put on more layers of clothing so that you won’t freeze from the cold,” he said.
