Chapter 2129: Selective Amnesia

The thermos flask rolled on the ground twice but it was unscathed.

However, at that mont, Shen Luo’an stood frozen on the spot as if he had just been struck by lightning.

With his back towards her, an indescribable pain surged up and past his throat and the pressure resulted in a sharp pain behind his eyes, he was on the verge of tears.

What had been destined to co... was finally here.

He couldn’t escape from what he feared and had been extrely worried about.

Shen Manting glared at his back coldly and asked, “How long have I been lying down?”

With his back still facing her the entire ti, Shen Luo’an suppressed his emotions.

He bent down to pick the thermos flask up, and retrieved a piece of tissue to wipe the dirt off of it before replying, “One day, for approximately 12 hours.”

Shen Manting jerked back, startled before chuckling coldly, “Do you take for an idiot? If it had only been only 12 hours, the sky should be bright. Furthermore, I was clearly hit by a car...”

But her body wasn’t hurting anywhere at all.

That was weird.

She could clearly rember that the pain she had felt was agonizing.

She had even heard the sound of her own bones breaking in her body.

However, her limbs were all fine at the mont, and there wasn’t any pain at all.

Except for her abdon.

On her lower abdon, a familiar pain was radiating out.

It was probably her period.

When the car accident occurred, her period had just ended, and it had been in the middle of the night.

If indeed 12 hours had passed, it was supposed to be ten o’clock in the morning.

Without a doubt, Shen Luo’an was lying to her.

He was certainly going to great lengths to shirk his responsibility for the car accident.

Here he was preparing soup and pasting a smile on his face. What a display he was putting up!

Shen Manting was filled with disdain and didn’t notice that at that very mont, Shen Luo’an was once again frozen to the spot.

With his back still towards her, an outrageous thought suddenly occurred to Shen Luo’an — she seed to have forgotten everything that had happened from the ti she regained consciousness up to now.

Including marrying him, and... the day and night of unbridled passion.

“Hold on. I’ll get Shen Zhilie to co,” Shen Luo’an placed the thermos flask back on the bedside table and walked out the door without looking back.

Upon closing the door behind him, Shen Luo’an’s hand trembled as he dialled Shen Zhilie’s number.

The call connected very quickly and Shen Zhilie’s voice ca through the phone, “Older Brother.”

“Zhilie, Manting’s woken up. But...”

Shen Zhilie looked at Shen Manting and repeated the question, “Do you rember the date that the accident occurred?”

“No.”

“How long do you think you’ve been unconscious for?”

“Not too long. It doesn’t feel like more than a day.”

“Yeah,” Shen Zhilie nodded. “Well, do you still rember who I am?”

“...What do you think?” Shen Manting replied.

Shen Zhilie chuckled with his arms wide open to embrace her, “Welco back, Sister Manting.”

Shen Manting felt a little startled at being hugged.

However, Shen Zhilie imdiately released her the next mont.

“Older Brother, co out with for a while.”

...

Shen Luo’an already knew it.

Shen Manting could not rember a single thing from the ti she had returned to her 12-year-old self upon waking up from the accident until this morning.

“Judging from the current situation, it is selective amnesia,” Shen Zhilie said slowly. “This is actually a far more common occurrence than you think.”

“Zhilie,” Shen Luo’an voice was a little hoarse, “She still hates , just like before.”

Shen Zhile was silent and didn’t know what to say for a while.

He reached out to pat his brother on the back, and replied, “Take it slow. These things can’t be rushed.”

Shen Luo’an kept quiet upon hearing that.

Shen Zhilie looked at him for so ti before whispering, “In my opinion, you should be grateful that she can’t rember any of it.”

During the period of ti that she had possessed the ntality of a 12-year-old, the things Shen Luo’an had done encompassed an entire spectrum—including things he never should have done.
