At that very mont, Li Sicheng’s mind felt empty.

But at the sa ti, he felt like his life was complete.

He could almost feel the pain Su Qianci was experiencing as if it were his own.

But at the sa ti, she felt so far away. He wanted nothing more than to take her place and bear the pain for her.

When it was very, very late at night, Su Qianci finally gave birth.

It was a natural birth.

Su Qianci’s face was pale but relaxed. Li Sicheng, on the other hand, felt as if he had just been to hell and back.

He held Su Qianci’s hand and didn’t say anything for a long ti.

“Hubby.”

“Yeah?”

“I’m hungry.” Her voice was soft and sounded pitiful.

Li Sicheng suddenly smiled when he heard that.

“Nanny Rong is here.”

...

Li Xiao and Qin Shuhua were waiting at the entrance to the delivery room.

Nanny Rong sat with Mosen and Ersu until the door to the delivery room was opened.

Almost everyone stood up at the sa ti. The nurse was carrying a chubby baby.

“It’s a boy. 3.1 kilograms,” she said.

“That’s great!” Qin Shuhua exclaid elatedly. She stepped forward and carefully took the baby from the nurse.

“How’s the mother doing?” Li Xiao asked. “Is my son in there too?”

“Yes, he is. The mother’s about to be transferred to the ward, and they’ll both be coming out soon.” The nurse smiled and gave them so instructions about what to look out for.

Li Xiao couldn’t really understand what the nurse was saying. It was Qin Shuhua, who was standing behind him, who nodded her head at the nurse’s instructions.

Mosen turned to look at Ersu and said, “Mommy just gave birth to a little brother.”

“Yeah! I heard it. Is our little brother called Sansu?”

Qin Shuhua burst out laughing and replied, “He’s called Little Moyun.”

“Little Moyun, Big Mosen! Yes!” Li Jianyue cheered in delight. She whipped out her small cell phone and said, “I’m going to give my brother a call. He’ll definitely be very happy when he hears the good news.”

Nanny Rong looked at the children and smiled. “Rember to tell your grandparents about it too. Tell them not to worry. Both the mother and child are doing well.”

“Alrighty!” Li Jianyue dialed the phone cheerily, happy that she had been entrusted with such a heavy responsibility.

She dialed Li Jianqian’s number, and he answered the call very quickly.

“Older Brother!” Her voice was crisp and clear.

When Li Jianqian heard her voice over the phone, his initially gloomy face gave way to a gentle expression. “Yeah?” he answered.

“Brother, I have news for you! Mommy gave birth to a little brother today. Grandma said he’s called Little Moyun, while Older Brother Mosen is Big Mosen!”

Li Jianyue was laughing heartily. “Older Brother, what are you doing?” she asked.

However, Li Jianqian didn’t reply to her question and instead imdiately changed the topic. “Have you told Grandpa and Grandma about Little Moyun’s birth yet?”

“No, I haven’t. I miss you so much, Older Brother!” Li Jianyue pouted. “Older Brother, when are you coming back?”

Li Jianqian was lying on the bed looking at his photographs a small distance away. “I just ca from Kingstown,” he said in a small voice.

“So, when are you coming back, Older Brother?”

“During school vacation.”

“And when is the school vacation, Older Brother?”

“Wait for to graduate.” Li Jianqian looked at his writing desk, which was covered with piles of textbooks ant for Junior High. “I want to go back to visit Little Moyun too.”

“I haven’t seen him yet, either. Let take a photo of Little Moyun, and I’ll send it to you!”

“All right.”

“Hold on.” Li Jianyue lowered the cell phone from her ear and ran toward Qin Shuhua. “Granny,” she said, “I would like to take a picture of my little brother for my Older Brother!”

As Li Mosen observed Li Jianyue’s behavior, a phrase suddenly popped into his mind: the innocent love of two children

Ersu and Dasu had a very close relationship. The amount of ti Mosen spent with Ersu on a daily basis was no match for the bond she and Dasu shared with each other.

Mosen felt envious and jealous at the sa ti.
