Chapter 1507 Dimwitted
Ye Qianqian was drinking when Shen Zhilie said that. She suddenly choked on her beer and began coughing violently The beer in her mouth ca spraying out and landed on the dishes on the table in front of them.
Shen Zhilie couldn’t bear to keep looking. He pulled a piece of tissue out and handed it to her, saying, “You should have been more careful.”
Ye Qianqian took the tissue from him and asked, “Are you f*cking crazy? How can we live together?”
“Why not? It’s not like we’ll be sharing a room anyway.” Shen Zhilie looked her up and down in disdain. “Don’t worry, I have no interest in you. It’s just that it’s been too hard to find a place, and your ho is coincidentally near the hospital. That makes it perfect. I’ll be able to sleep in a little more in the mornings.”
Ye Qianqian laughed mockingly, “Aren’t you rich? Just rent an apartnt of your own in the sa compound.”
“That’s troubleso,” Shen Zhilie said. “I’d still have to go shopping for furniture, décor, and a whole lot of other miscellaneous stuff. If I were to go straight to your place, everything there is what you use. At the very least, it’ll be clean.”
“That does make sense. After all, there aren’t many people in this world that are as much of a stickler for cleanliness as I am,” Ye Qianqian mused aloud. “But, I still think that it isn’t very appropriate for us to be living together. After all, you used to be my sister’s brother-in-law. Things will get so awkward if my sister were to co over.”
“What’s wrong with that? It’ll be fine. You’re worried about that?” Shen Zhilie took a bite of the at skewer and comnted contemptuously, “I thought you weren’t afraid of anything! Yet, you’re afraid of awkwardness?”
“It’s you I’m worried about,” Ye Qianqian said. “I’m afraid it’ll get awkward for you.”
“It’s fine. I don’t mind.” Shen Zhilie grinned. “It’s settled then. I’ve been living in a hotel lately. It’s so inconvenient.”
“What? You’re living in a hotel?” Ye Qianqian was shocked. “Your hospital even arranged for you to have your own car. Why didn’t they arrange for you to live in the employee dormitories?”
“The living standards of the employee dormitories are horrible! It’s so crowded, and it’s stinky and dirty. I couldn’t take it.” Shen Zhilie handed her a lamb skewer. “I end work early, at around 5 p.m. I can do the grocery shopping and cooking, and you can have dinner when you get back.”
Ye Qianqian’s eyes lit up. That is a huge advantage indeed!
Although Shen Zhilie’s cooking wasn’t as good as Yu Lili’s, it was still leaps and bounds better than hers.
“Well, I’m not paying for the groceries. You can treat that as your rental paynt.” Ye Qianqian didn’t bother standing on ceremony and took a bite out of her lamb skewer. “You have to rember to purchase all the miscellaneous stuff too. Washing detergent, paper towels, and everything else in between. You have to rember that. In the past, it used to be Lili who bought it, then it was Youyou. I... I’m very busy!”
Shen Zhilie laughed. “Just admit that you’re dimwitted. Don’t give excuses that you’re busy and all that!”
“Regardless, I’m still busier than you! You’ve now risen to the f*cking top and can afford to relax. I’m still struggling at the bottom rung of the ladder!” Ye Qianqian bit off a huge chunk of at and washed it down with beer. “Besides, this is what you should be doing anyway! I’m the hoowner, and that makes your landlady!”
“Alright, alright! Whatever you say! Eat up!” Shen Zhilie shoved another skewer into her hand and snatched her beer bottle away. “Drink less.”
“What the h*ll do you know? Drinking a little alcohol is good for the skin. Look at how good my skin is! It’s soft and smooth.” Ye Qianqian complinted herself as she stroked her face.
“That’s because your face is oily,” Shen Zhilie plainly stated.
Ye Qianqian glared at him and decided to ignore him after that.
After finishing the skewers, Ye Qianqian could hardly walk. Her stomach was filled to the brim. She held Shen Zhilie’s arm for support all the way to the car.
When they reached her ho, Ye Qianqian thought that Shen Zhilie would return to the hotel. Unexpectedly, he took out a luggage from the car trunk and said, “Let’s go.”
Ye Qianqian’s jaw hit the floor. “You had it all prepared already?”
