Despite knowing that Kanna was a dragon, the shrimp shells didn't seem to bother her at all as she munched away happily.
Still, Shiro Sakamaki picked up another shrimp from the table, held it by the tail, and gave it a gentle twist.
The tender white shrimp at separated cleanly from the head, and he tossed the shell aside.
"Kanna, don't eat the shell—just the at," he reminded her.
"Oh!" she replied with a nod, eyes wide with realization.
As Kanna's eating speed only increased, Shiro quickly ordered more dishes, half-joking to himself that if he didn't, she might even eat the plate.
An hour later, she was finally full, her little face glowing with satisfaction. Her dragon tail and horns slipped out, no longer under her control in her stuffed and content state.
"Kanna, your tail and horns are showing," Shiro whispered urgently. "We're in human society now—you can't expose your identity like that, okay?"
"Got it," Kanna responded cutely, activating a concealnt spell to hide her dragon features again.
She then looked up at Shiro with curiosity. "Shiro, are all humans here as strong as you?"
"Huh? What makes you ask that?"
"Because the ones I've t before were weak," she said bluntly.
Shiro was montarily speechless.
"Well, there aren't many like ," he eventually replied.
"But there are still a few strong individuals out there. You flying through the sky so openly could be dangerous."
Kanna rested her cheeks in her hands and tilted her head. "Oh~ so humans can be strong too. I thought they were all like those who shout about slaying dragons—relying on tricks."
"There are so strong ones... but to you, they probably still seem like strong ants," he muttered, feeling a bit sorry for the humans of Kanna's original world.
"Are you full now?" he asked.
Kanna touched her round belly and nodded with a lingering sense of longing. "I'm full."
"You're a good person, Shiro. This is the first ti soone has treated to such delicious food."
Shiro chuckled awkwardly. In just one al, this little dragon had already handed him two "good guy" cards.
"You've never had human food before?"
"I have," she said. "Grilled at and fish and stuff... but it was all stolen. Didn't taste very good."
"You stole it?"
Kanna nodded seriously. "Sotis I'd find humans grilling at. If I showed myself, they'd get scared and run away."
"Aha... hahahaha, Kanna, you little nace."
Shiro could imagine it now—half-cooked at, scared campers fleeing in the middle of roasting—it's no wonder it didn't taste great.
"But here, you don't have to steal. If you want food, just co to . Eat as much as you want."
"Really?!" Kanna's eyes lit up like stars.
"Really."
"Oh! Ma squeeze Bakutits!"
...
That afternoon, Shiro and Kanna strolled through the streets.
Kanna happily licked a giant ice cream cone, her eyes sparkling with delight.
"Hey, Kanna, are you sure you sensed Thor's aura around here?"
"Mm-hmm. Lord Thor's aura is strongest in this area. He should be nearby."
Shiro couldn't sense Thor's presence, so they relied entirely on Kanna's instincts.
As they wandered, Kanna excitedly pointed out all kinds of treats—ice cream, taiyaki, takoyaki—and more.
Her endless appetite made Shiro wonder how Kobayashi managed to feed two dragons on a single programr's salary.
Rent, electricity, food, drinks—Shiro gave a ntal salute to Kobayashi, the Liver Emperor.
Eventually, Kanna stopped in front of an apartnt building.
"This is it!"
Shiro nodded, and they followed the aura to one of the doors.
Inside, Thor was in the middle of cleaning when she suddenly sniffed the air and froze.
Kobayashi, lounging on the couch watching TV, noticed. "What's wrong, Thor?"
Before Thor could answer, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Kobayashi said, heading to the door. Thor followed closely behind.
Through the peephole, Kobayashi saw an unfamiliar young man and a small white-haired girl dressed in a traditional-looking outfit.
The mont the door opened, Kanna's eyes locked onto Thor.
"Lord Thor!" she cried and rushed forward, throwing her arms around Thor's leg and refusing to let go.
"Eh? Kanna-chan?! What are you doing here?"
