Chapter 41 – Hey Everyone, I’M Huo Xunzhou, The Stage Witness

Chapter 41: Hey Everyone, I’m Huo Xunzhou, the Stage Witness

The discussion about the middle seat was very intense.

However, there was no live broadcast on the big screen this ti, so no one could see the comnts.

As soon as Lin Shanchu and Yun Wu entered the arena, there was a commotion coming from the mbers. The number of comnts also increased in an instant:

[I’m neither bragging nor hating on Lin Shanchu, but that white dress is 1000% compatible with her.]

[There really are people who look so good in clothes that resemble tablecloths.

I’m so jealous that I’m crying right now…]

[So what if she’s good-looking? She’s just a decoration who can’t sing and dance.]

[Yo hater, I love Lin Shanchu for her looks.]

[Don’t you guys think that Yun Wu and Lin Shanchu make a great couple with their black and white outfit ensemble?]

[Are they in a group? Holy hell, I really love the idea of them being together!]

[Heh! Lin Shanchu isn’t capable at all, so she thinks she’ll be able to gain fans by tagging herself with another mber. How disgusting.]

From the last live broadcast, the production crew understood that Lin Shanchu was the key to gaining the attention of the public.

As soon as Lin Shanchu entered the venue, the cara was trained on her the whole ti.

She wore a plain white dress today. Her thick long hair was splayed behind her like dark ink, making her look beautiful and otherworldly.

So mbers gathered together and whispered, “Lin Shanchu looks so beautiful in that white dress. I look forward to watching her performance.”

“I saw her doing a dance practice with Yun Wu two days ago. I think it’s a dance that makes her look like a fairy.”

Yun Wu raised her head and glanced at the seating arrangent. “Where are we sitting?

Lin Shanchu looked up and saw the middle seat that was located at the top of the stands. “Let’s sit at the very top.”

There was a pair of seats located right below the central position.

Yun Wu ran to one of the seats and sat down. She grabbed the other chair while turning around to look at Lin Shanchu.

“Let’s sit…”

The mont Yun Wu noticed Lin Shanchu taking the top seat, she couldn’t continue the rest of the sentence.

The words ‘Holy sh*t… The haters are going to hate on you again’ were written all over Yun Wu’s face.

“This chair seems to be a little bigger than the others,” Lin Shanchu said while looking rather serious.

Yun Wu was speechless. She thought that Lin Shanchu was really dense at tis.

New comnts quickly popped up on the screen. [Holy sh*t! Lin Shanchu has taken the middle seat!]

[How the heck is she this brave?]

[Isn’t that Xia Jinng’s seat?]

[What’s wrong with her taking the middle seat? Is Xia Jinng’s na engraved on that seat, huh?]

[I’m just a passerby. I think Lin Shanchu’s trying to gain everyone’s attention.]

[You haters have too much ti on your hands. You insist on hating Lin

Shanchu no matter what she does.]

Xia Jinng, who was frequently ntioned on the screen, entered the venue at this ti.

She had once made a na for herself overseas, thus already having her own fanbase. Now that she returned to the country and joined the talent show, she intended to compete for the top spot as the main girl.

The company that Xia Jinng had a contract with took a liking to her and allowed her to appear in other variety shows before. At the sa ti, the company kept promoting her, so she maintained her popularity the whole ti.

However, Lin Shanchu appeared out of nowhere.

The day she entered the production crew, she went viral.

Xia Jinng, who was originally the most popular mber of the show, ended up getting ignored by everyone other than her fans.

As soon as Xia Jinng entered, she saw Lin Shanchu sitting in the middle seat.

That seat should have been hers!

A mber who knew Xia Jinng greeted her. “Jinng!”

Xia Jinng suppressed the unhappiness in her heart and replied to her with a smile.

The comnts were posted again.

[Xia Jinng is so cool! You’re killing with coolness, my long-legged goddess!]

[Um… It’s obvious that Lin Shanchu’s legs are slightly longer…]

[So that’s Xia Jinng. It seems that she’s made a ton of appearances lately.

She looks different compared to the other mbers.]

[I look forward to seeing Xia Jinng’s performance on the stage.]

The mbers arrived one after another.

Next up was the appearance of the ntors.

The first to appear was the dance instructor, Qin Shuya.

She was once a famous Chinese female singer. Even though she was nearly 40 years old, her voice and physical form were in excellent condition. She maintained her brilliant performance onstage as she sang and danced at the sa ti. She didn’t even pant once she was done with her performance.

Next was the singing instructor, Xu An.

He had been the most popular male singer in the Chinese rankings for several consecutive years.

Finally, Bai Yu, the music production instructor, was introduced.

The comnts went wild.

[Is Qin Shuya capable of being young forever? She still looks beautiful as usual, not to ntion she’s amazing at performing!] [Xu An’s songs are still so touching.] [This is amazing! They actually invited Bai Yu to the show!]

[The ntor lineup is too strong!]

[A huge thank you to the production crew for allowing to watch such wonderful performances without spending a penny!]

The three instructors were all experienced and talented seniors.

Typically speaking, one might not be able to secure tickets to their concerts even if they were to spend money.

Everyone loved to watch a wonderful performance.

The mbers were so excited that they cheered and scread.

Lin Shanchu was also excited.

She clapped madly for the ntors from the middle seat to the point that her hands were already sore.

Her seat was too eye-catching, so the director did a close-up shot of her. Lin Shanchu was so engrossed in watching the performance that she stood up and applauded.

More comnts were posted.

[Hahaha! Is Lin Shanchu seriously that crazy woman who keeps clapping nonstop?]

[Dear fairy, can you act more like a fairy instead of a human? At this rate, I’d start thinking that you’re a human instead!]

[The way she jumps and screams makes her seem classless.]

[Please don’t tell that the reason that lady joins this show is to cheer on everyone…]

Lin Shanchu did have the intention to cheer on everyone.

The rest of the mbers clearly excelled in performing, whereas she was unable to perform well due to her weak body.

Then again, since Lin Shanchu was already here, she might as well take up the middle seat and cheer on everyone in order to feel more inclusive.

The last person to show up on the stage was the stage witness.

It was said that the stage witness was also a relatively famous senior in the entertainnt industry.

However, when the production crew made the announcent on Weibo, they never ntioned anything about the stage witness. Many netizens thought that the role of the stage witness was given to soone else.

“I heard that they changed the stage witness,” Yun Wu turned around and whispered to Lin Shanchu.

“Oh.”

Lin Shanchu wasn’t very concerned about this. With Nan Mu’s connections, he would definitely invite a famous and experienced celebrity to beco the stage witness.

All she had to do was to clap for the guest. Soone said, “I’m coming.”

Lin Shanchu started to clap very seriously.

Then, a collective of gasps sounded from the mbers.

“Hey everyone, I’m Huo Xunzhou, the stage witness.”

The man’s deep and magnetic voice ca out of the microphone and echoed to every corner of the studio. The mbers began to scream.

“Ah!”

“It’s the best actor, Huo Xunzhou!”

The comnt section also beca lively.

[The man who once conquered the entertainnt industry with his looks is here!]

[The production crew is aweso!]

[The producer is Nan Mu, after all! How can they not be aweso?]

Huo Xunzhou was wearing a white shirt without a tie. His collar was slightly open, revealing his Adam’s apple. He sat upright in his wheelchair while looking very noble.

He raised his head and swept his gaze toward the mbers’ seating area. “The initial stage assessnt will now begin. ”

The accompanying staff pushed Huo Xunzhou to the ntors’ seating area.

Huo Xunzhou then announced the first group of mbers.

The first group of mbers ca from a large company.

Their performance was just average.

In the group consisting of six mbers, two of them were ranked B, three were ranked C, whereas the last one got an F rank.

Since there were only five available slots for the girl group, that ant only five mbers could obtain rank A.

The competition was very intense.

The instructors were very strict. By the ti it was Lin Shanchu and Yun Wu’s turn to perform, only an A-ranker was announced among the mbers that had perford.

Huo Xunzhou looked down at his docunts and said into the microphone,

“Next up, we have two individual mbers – Yun Wu and Lin Shanchu.”

The man’s voice slowed down. When he called out Lin Shanchu’s na, he sounded affectionate in nature.

Lin Shanchu silently rubbed her ears before drawing to her feet to go up to the stage with Yun Wu..
