"Always giggling foolishly."

Dou Dou reached out and pinched Tang Tang’s little cheek.

"Ouch~"

Tang Tang opened her mouth in dissatisfaction, wanting to bite Dou Dou.

Dou Dou quickly retracted her hand, but Tang Tang didn’t give up. Instead, she directly pinched Dou Dou’s chubby little arm.

"Eek?"

Dou Dou’s eyes widened. Feeling she’d lost out, she wasn’t about to let it go.

Just as she was about to retaliate, Tang Tang cleverly dashed to Xiao Yue and nestled against her leg.

"Ugh~" Dou Dou stopped in her tracks.

Even Tang Tang knew she was afraid of Sister Xiao Yue. How could this be?

Thinking of this, she suddenly put hands on her hips, summoned her energy, and pointed at Tang Tang.

"Co here."

"Hah~"

Tang Tang didn’t co over but instead snuggled further into Xiao Yue’s embrace.

Xiao Yue reached out and hugged her, putting her on her lap.

"Oh~ ooh..." Tang Tang made a funny face at Dou Dou in triumph.

Dou Dou felt she was about to explode with anger. She thought for a mont, turned away, and prepared to find Potato for comfort.

Shen Siyuan was watching the scenery outside the car window and then felt a little hand climb onto his lap.

He turned his head; if it wasn’t Tang Tang, then it was naturally Dou Dou.

"Hehe~, Potato, let ride."

Without waiting for Shen Siyuan to speak, she directly climbed onto his lap.

Then she also leaned her little head toward the car window.

"What are you looking at? Let see too..."

Outside were lush, tall trees full of life.

But stare too long, and it becos slightly dull. Soon, a large wheat field appeared in front of them, and the breeze created waves of green wheat.

Yes, green, as the wheat was not yet mature.

A few birds flitted over the wheat field and flew into the sky, eventually disappearing from sight.

"Wow, it’s pretty." Shen Siyuan exclaid.

Dou Dou rolled her eyes.

"Of course I know; I’m not a fool."

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard a "hah~" laugh by her ear.

Turning her head, she saw Tang Tang had sohow snuggled over.

Seeing her turn, Tang Tang imdiately reached out and pulled her down.

"Ooh~ ooh~"

She complained while tugging, seeming to say this spot was hers, move over.

Dou Dou felt pleased and didn’t give in.

Tang Tang hissed at Dou Dou twice, looking like an angry yet cute little kitten.

Dou Dou wasn’t scared at all and even sniffed her nose.

"Your mouth slls nice," Dou Dou said.

At this mont, Tang Tang’s mouth still held a hint of alcohol aroma.

"Dou Dou, co here, I’ve got sothing tasty."

Taozi called out, fearing they’d argue, inviting them over.

Dou Dou obeyed, stopped tugging with Tang Tang, and directly hopped off Shen Siyuan’s lap, running to her aunt.

Tang Tang saw this and imdiately prepared to follow, but after thinking for a mont, she turned back to climb onto Shen Siyuan’s lap.

Seeing her struggle, Shen Siyuan reached out and helped her sit up, but as soon as her little bottom touched his leg, she squird to get down.

Shen Siyuan: ...

"Duoduo, Xiao Yue..." Taozi called again.

Xiao Yue and Duoduo were very quiet, sitting silently in their seats from the start, either reading a book or gazing out the window, without making noise.

Xiao Yue was thirteen, making this not surprising, but Duoduo, only a year older than Dou Dou, could achieve this, it was impressive.

"Sister Taozi, I don’t want any," Xiao Yue stated directly.

But Duoduo got off her seat and walked to Taozi, glancing towards Shen Siyuan as she passed.

Shen Siyuan was initially confused but quickly understood and, with a chuckle, lifted her to sit on his lap for a mont.

Indeed, Shen Siyuan was spot on.

After sitting satisfied, she got off and walked to Taozi.

While driving, Ruan Hongzhuang glanced back, "Don’t let them eat too many snacks; lots of delicious treats await them at the destination."

"Oh~, what’s delicious?" Dou Dou asked with great interest, leaning over.

"Co back, don’t disturb Aunt Ruan driving." Taozi firmly pulled her back.

Throughout the journey, except for Ruan Hongzhuang, everyone was very relaxed and joyful, including Mao Sani.

Having left her hotown, although she worked as a nanny in the city for years, the farthest she went was Bin Hai.

Since Shen Siyuan’s marriage, she first went to Si Ming, then flew to Xiajing, and then followed Shen Siyuan’s group westward, opening her eyes and greatly broadening her vision.

It seed her entire being was uplifted and beca more insightful.

She lanted fate’s unfairness, believing her suffering was penance for past sins, leading her to be mute and deaf.

Wanting to end it all but holding on, she worried for her daughter’s safety and well-being.

Finally, clouds parted, revealing light, finding her daughter and knowing she lived well.

Most importantly, eting Mr. Shen’s family reunited her with her daughter, providing shelter, work, and unimaginable life changes.

Life felt dreamlike.

Awakening each day, she’d slap herself, ensuring life wasn’t a dream.

Now seeing the vast world, her outlook also broadened.

As Tang Tang ate snacks on her lap, she sensed sothing and looked back.

Handed her half-eaten cookie.

Mao Sani shook her head smiling.

"Sweet," Tang Tang said persistently.

Mao Sani, though deaf to Tang Tang’s words, didn’t refuse and ate the cookie.

Indeed sweet, almost overly so.

Shijiazhuang wasn’t far from Xiajing; departing early afternoon, they soon spotted their destination before dusk.

"Shall we go downtown to find a hotel?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked.

"No need, let’s find a scenic spot to spend the night outdoors," Shen Siyuan replied.

His travels were for nature, not luxury.

"Ah~, my snacks are gone," Dou Dou lanted.

She’d save snacks for a later feast.

"You little foodie, plenty for you tonight," Shen Siyuan reassured.

His space held many cooking supplies.

Following the GPS, Ruan Hongzhuang exited the highway and turned onto a secluded road, greeted by endless wheat fields, the sunset casting gold over green stalks.
