Although Dou Dou said Xiao Guoguo.

But Yuan Kaiyang’s parents could clearly understand the implied aning.

It’s normal for young children to like repeating words, using rhys, or even inverting words due to their age; their son used to do the sa when he was little.

"Are you a friend of our Yuan Kaiyang?"

There was a note of joy in Deng Huiling’s voice.

Yuan Kaiyang did have so friends when he was alive, but since his passing, no one has co around, so the sudden appearance of Dou Dou brought her so happiness, at least soone other than them rembers their son.

She didn’t even think about how old Dou Dou was when her son died.

Seeing it was a cute little girl, Yuan Hesheng also completely let down his guard.

He was holding a knife and feared scaring the girl, so he handed it to Deng Huiling to take to the kitchen, while he beckoned Dou Dou to co out.

Dou Dou quickly put down the dinosaur egg.

Yuan Hesheng smiled and shook his head, saying, "Since Yuan Kaiyang gave it to you, keep it."

"Okay."

Dou Dou happily picked up the big dinosaur egg again and walked toward the living room.

Seeing the little girl’s adorable appearance, Yuan Hesheng couldn’t help but smile heartily.

He saw the Jumping Ball still bouncing and went over to pick it up and turn off the switch.

After putting the knife back in place, Deng Huiling returned to the living room, only then noticing she was still holding Yuan Hesheng’s phone, which was displaying the living room’s surveillance footage.

She was about to turn it off but suddenly froze because the phone showed only her husband’s figure, and not the little girl, with just a dinosaur egg floating in the air, appearing quite eerie.

She felt a chill rush from her tailbone straight to her crown, unable to feel any warmth even in the pleasant afternoon sun.

She could still hear her husband’s talking at her ear.

"Do you live nearby? How co I haven’t seen you before?"

"How do you know Yuan Kaiyang?"

...

At that mont, she also heard the cute and soft voice of the little girl.

"I don’t live here."

"I haven’t known Xiao Guoguo for very long."

...

Staring at her phone, Deng Huiling looked up toward the living room direction, feeling both fearful and a bit bewildered.

Is there a problem with the surveillance?

She took a deep breath, quietly ca to the kitchen door, glanced toward the living room, and saw the little girl standing obediently there, even smiled at her as she looked over.

Again, she looked down at the phone’s surveillance, everything was normal except the absence of the little girl’s figure.

She hesitated, carefully walked two steps forward into the living room, and her figure appeared on the surveillance screen.

Staring blankly at the phone, Deng Huiling felt a surge of fear mixed with a tinge of joy.

If... if... ghosts really exist, does it an her son has always been at ho, right beside them?

Seeing his wife standing there, staring blankly at the phone, Yuan Hesheng casually asked, "What’s wrong?"

As he spoke, he naturally reached out to take back his phone.

"You... look at this..." Deng Huiling’s voice trembled a bit.

Yuan Hesheng, sowhat surprised, took it.

At first, he didn’t react, but when he saw the dinosaur egg floating in the air, he imdiately realized and raised his eyes towards Dou Dou.

Dou Dou was startled by his gaze, just like when Yuan Kaiyang’s mom looked at her earlier.

She quietly said to Yuan Kaiyang, "Your mom and dad are scary, I want to go back."

"Don’t go," Yuan Kaiyang pleaded.

Yuan Kaiyang knew that there were surveillance caras at ho, but he hadn’t really thought about it, and now his parents had noticed.

Dou Dou thought she was doing well in hiding, but all her actions were watched intently by the couple.

They rembered how Dou Dou was mumbling to herself in the storage room earlier.

It seems that she wasn’t talking to herself.

"Who... who are you talking to?" Yuan Hesheng asked, his voice slightly trembling.

He was feeling a bit frightened yet hopeful, his emotions incredibly complex.

"Is it... Yuan Kaiyang?" Deng Huiling also stamred in question, her eyes filled with hope and supplication.

"Ah, you’ve discovered it, huh?"

Dou Dou wanted to laugh, but seeing the two people across from her looking solemn, especially Yuan Kaiyang’s mom who seed on the verge of tears, her laughter changed in tone.

"Who... who are you really?" Yuan Hesheng asked.

"Is Yuan Kaiyang also here?" Deng Huiling asked.

Both of them asked questions, and Dou Dou’s little head couldn’t quite comprehend all at once, blankly looking at the two.

"I... I want to go back." Dou Dou said.

"Don’t leave yet, Auntie still wants to ask you sothing."

Deng Huiling stepped forward, seemingly wanting to hold Dou Dou, but was grabbed by Yuan Hesheng.

Deng Huiling looked at him discontentedly.

Yuan Hesheng gave her an eye signal, smiling warmly, "Don’t scare the child."

He had just seen Dou Dou take a few steps back, looking alert, so he imdiately restrained Deng Huiling’s actions, afraid of scaring the child away.

Their origins were mysterious, and she even ntioned their son is in the house. Such a young child, even if lying to them, wouldn’t fabricate such a lie.

And the little one was neat, her eyes clear, not seeming like she had any ntal issues.

"Don’t be afraid, we are Yuan Kaiyang’s parents, not bad people," Yuan Hesheng tried to make his voice softer.

"Yeah, my parents are good people, they’re very nice, boohoo..."

Yuan Kaiyang, beside him, started sobbing softly as he spoke.

Dou Dou didn’t care whether they were good people; she originally wanted to sneak away, but seeing Yuan Kaiyang start crying, she hesitated.

After all, Xiao Guoguo had always been cool, and seeing him suddenly cry was indeed a bit unsettling for Dou Dou.

"You’re a boy, don’t cry,"

Dou Dou looked at the dinosaur egg in her hands, handed it over, saying, "I’ll give it back to you, is that okay? Don’t cry."

Yuan Hesheng and Deng Huiling watched Dou Dou talking to the air as if there really was soone standing beside her.

They didn’t know if it was true, but they were willing to believe it was real.

"Is it Yangyang?"

Yuan Kaiyang nodded while wiping his tears and called out, "Mom."

Unfortunately, Deng Huiling couldn’t hear it, so he called again.

This ti, Dou Dou proactively said, "Yangyang Guoguo also called you."

"Is Yangyang right here?" Deng Huiling asked, looking at Dou Dou eagerly.

Dou Dou nodded, explaining, "I’m not a thief; it was Yangyang Guoguo who brought here to play. He said Auntie’s cake is delicious and she’s an amazing mom."

"Auntie knows, Auntie believes you, can you help Auntie talk to Yangyang?" Deng Huiling pleaded earnestly.

Dou Dou thought for a mont, finding it not difficult, so she nodded.
