Knock, knock, knock...

Ruan Hongzhuang heard a series of knocking sounds, the familiar rhythm made it clear it was Jiang Taoshi without the need to look.

So she said, without raising her head, "Co in."

And as expected, Jiang Taoshi pushed the door open, holding a box in her hand, the cloyingly sweet scent of fried chicken drifted in even before she got close.

"Korean Fried Chicken, do you want so?"

"You just rembered because you couldn’t finish it and had leftovers, didn’t you?"

Ruan Hongzhuang pulled down the gold-rimd glasses on her nose and gently pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Hehe..." Jiang Taoshi effectively admitted it.

"Put it there," Ruan Hongzhuang said, sounding slightly annoyed.

Jiang Taoshi hurriedly opened the al box and pushed it in front of her.

Ruan Hongzhuang glanced at it and said, "This much?"

"I wanted to try every flavor, and the owner threw in so extra, so it got a bit much," Jiang Taoshi said with an embarrassed laugh.

Ruan Hongzhuang gave her a thorough look from head to toe.

"What are you doing? What’s with that look?" Jiang Taoshi crossed her arms defensively.

"I’m just wondering how co you aren’t fat. With the way you eat, you should’ve turned into a pig by now."

"Hehe, one can’t forsake natural beauty," Jiang Taoshi boasted proudly.

Then she added, "My mom says I was born with a blessed appearance, that I ca to the Mortal World just to enjoy life."

Ruan Hongzhuang: ...

I’ve never seen such a thick-skinned person.

Ruan Hongzhuang picked up a small piece of fried chicken with her fingertips, tasted it, then pushed the rest back.

"Take it back."

"Huh? You’re not eating?"

"I’ve already had so."

"But there’s so much left."

"That’s none of my business."

Jiang Taoshi frowned in annoyance.

Seeing this, Ruan Hongzhuang nearly spit out the piece of fried chicken she had just bitten into with a snort of laughter.

Wiggling her eyebrows was one of Jiang Taoshi’s innate skills; she could wiggle her two brows like waves, extrely comical and hilarious.

Ruan Hongzhuang was amused by her behavior every single ti.

"Sigh, when is Shen Siyuan coming back? I miss him," Jiang Taoshi said quietly.

Huh? →_→ What does she an?

"If he were here, none of this fried chicken would go to waste," Jiang Taoshi continued.

Alright, I thought too much.

"If it’s not okay, give it to so other colleagues in the company. Haven’t you made any friends during your ti here?"

"If it’s untouched, there’s no issue giving it to others, but now that I’ve eaten from it, whom can I offer it to? What would others think?"

"That’s true," Ruan Hongzhuang conceded.

But she quickly realized sothing else.

So, what does it an that you’ll give your leftovers to Shen Siyuan? He won’t mind or overthink it?

Does that an Shen Siyuan has beco that special soone in her heart?

Watching Jiang Taoshi’s clueless expression, it seed she hadn’t noticed it herself.

But Ruan Hongzhuang didn’t point it out.

Just then, Jiang Taoshi suddenly asked, "Shen Siyuan has been gone for several days, where did he go?"

"Asking about soone’s boyfriend in front of his girlfriend, is that really okay?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked with a smile, her arms crossed.

"What’s wrong with that?" Jiang Taoshi asked dumbly in return.

"Nothing, just go, go, don’t disturb my work."

"Oh, okay." Jiang Taoshi picked up the al box and headed for the door.

When she was almost at the door, she suddenly turned around and asked, "Do you want beer?"

"There’s beer?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked, taken aback.

"Of course, eating Korean Fried Chicken without beer is like eating scallions without sauce," Jiang Taoshi declared confidently.

"It’s working hours now, can you please behave?" Ruan Hongzhuang said, feeling irritated.

"Oh, not eating then not eating, why so grumpy." Jiang Taoshi grumbled as she left the office and didn’t forget to close the door behind her.

Ruan Hongzhuang just touched her forehead, this really was a troubleso character.

If she wasn’t a partner, I’d really want her to resign and get lost.

Ruan Hongzhuang would just vent her frustration, but in truth, the company couldn’t do without a mascot like Jiang Taoshi. Without her, it would be impossible to have such smooth sailing on this small patch of land in Bin Hai.

So her mother was right when she said she was born to enjoy life, it wasn’t wrong at all.

Ruan Hongzhuang stopped thinking about her, put on her glasses, and continued working.

She wore glasses not because of nearsightedness, but for eye protection, as she often used the computer. These were blue light blocking glasses, and over ti, it had beco a habit.

Ti flew by unnoticed. When Ruan Hongzhuang’s neck felt stiff and she eased out her neck, she glanced at the bottom right corner of the computer screen and realized it was ti to leave work.

"Strange..."

Ruan Hongzhuang took another look at the Jaeger-LeCoultre watch on her wrist.

Indeed, it was ti to finish work.

What she found strange was that today Jiang Taoshi hadn’t reminded her about it.

So she stood up to stretch her muscles and walked out of the office.

Then she saw Jiang Taoshi, weak and listless, draped over her desk, a wilted figure, looking completely sapped of energy.

"What’s wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"

Ruan Hongzhuang was a bit worried and quickly stepped forward.

Then she saw the remaining pieces of fried chicken on the table.

"Did you eat it all?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked, astonished.

"There’s so left."

Jiang Taoshi argued, then continued to lie on her desk without moving, clutching her stomach.

"Does it make any difference?" Ruan Hongzhuang replied, amused despite herself.

"I don’t want to waste."

"You can’t just force yourself like this. Have you taken any digestive tablets?"

"I have finished them."

Ruan Hongzhuang: ...

"I’ll have soone go buy you so..."

She was at a loss for words; she had never seen anyone like this before.

"Go lie down in my office, I’ll give you a massage," Ruan Hongzhuang said, not in the best of moods.

"Oh."

Jiang Taoshi obediently followed along, directly entering the side room to lie down on the couch, and then looked expectantly at Ruan Hongzhuang.

Ruan Hongzhuang: ...

What could Ruan Hongzhuang do? She could only sit down beside her and rub her stomach in a clockwise motion.

"It’s a joke to tell anyone, how old are you that you still overeat and need soone to rub your belly?"

"Hehe, Ruan Ruan, I just like it when you rub , your hands feel so comfortable."

Upon hearing this, Ruan Hongzhuang pinched her plump little belly with annoyance.

Jiang Taoshi cried out in pain.

"How many tis has it been now?" Ruan Hongzhuang said irritably.

"You’ve eaten all the digestive tablets, are you a pig?"

"Not at all~"

Jiang Taoshi’s eyes shifted, feeling sowhat guilty from her words.

"What are you going to do when you get married? Will you have your husband rub your belly?"

"That won’t happen; I will give him the food I can’t eat, so I won’t get full," Jiang Taoshi said.

Ruan Hongzhuang was speechless.

Jiang Taoshi was naturally fair-skinned, her skin extrely delicate and smooth, her stomach soft as cotton, and very pleasant to the touch.

"This girl truly has natural beauty."

Ruan Hongzhuang couldn’t help but envy her skin; it was natural, indeed incomparable.

Seemingly very comfortable with the rubbing, Jiang Taoshi squinted her eyes, humming contently – a look of complete relaxation – which made Ruan Hongzhuang both amused and annoyed.

Ruan Hongzhuang didn’t pay her any more attention and took out her phone to look at it, continuing to rub her stomach.

She tried calling Shen Siyuan, but was unable to connect, and, having no other choice, gave up.

Only then did she suddenly realize that Jiang Taoshi had stopped making any noise; turning her head, she saw that Jiang Taoshi had actually fallen asleep.

Ruan Hongzhuang: ...

Is this girl a pig?

Ruan Hongzhuang reached out with the intention to slap her stomach hard to wake her up, but her raised hand gently fell back down.

Finally, she got up, covered Jiang Taoshi with a coat, and sat back down at her desk.
