"Son... Son, what the hell did you give your dad and to eat?"

After eating a green pill given by Shen Siyuan, Huang Huijuan felt as if she had rejuvenated by more than a decade, her energy seemingly overflowing as she persistently questioned him.

"Speak nicely, can’t you just say it’s good?"

"It is really good, but..."

"As long as it’s good, it’s fine. Could I possibly harm you and Dad?" Shen Siyuan cut her off.

"That’s not necessarily true."

Shen Siyuan: →_→

"When I gave it to you just now, you swallowed it without hesitation?"

"Because you are our son, if it poisons us, that’s our bad luck."

"The first part almost moved , the second part you didn’t have to say." Shen Siyuan said exasperatedly.

Mom’s personality seems to beco more lively after eating the "pill".

That’s not surprising; many people who are naturally lively and spirited beco more composed with age.

It’s not that they don’t want to be lively; it’s that they lack the energy to do so.

At this ti, father Shen Jianjun also ca over; he had been feeling the inexhaustible energy within him until now.

"Son, you didn’t give us so sort of drug, did you?"

"You and mom are really a pair, can’t you say sothing nice?"

"Because only drugs have such rapid and good effects," Shen Jianjun said seriously.

You sure know a lot, Shen Siyuan was at a loss for words, then said: "Don’t worry, this is called... the ’Leg Stretching Eye Bulging Pill,’ which supplents human energy and revitalizes the body."

Shen Siyuan directly used the na he had jokingly told Ruan Hongzhuang before.

Shen Jianjun was still pondering the strange na when Huang Huijuan had already grabbed Shen Siyuan’s hand, rubbing it vigorously on the back of his hand. She seed ready to spit on it.

Scared, Shen Siyuan quickly withdrew his hand: "What are you doing?"

"You think I haven’t read ’Jigong’? When I was pregnant with you, to pass the ti, the first book I read was ’Jigong,’ and even if you are Jigong, why is it green? Do you think you’re the Hulk?"

"Good grief, you really know a lot, even about the Hulk."

At her words, Huang Huijuan punched Shen Siyuan’s arm humorously.

However, Shen Siyuan really knew about this; when his mother was pregnant, Shen Jianjun had bought her many novels and magazines to pass the ti. Later, these books beca Shen Siyuan’s spiritual nourishnt and are still on the bookshelf at ho.

"Give an honest explanation." Huang Huijuan said gruffly, slapping his arm.

"I’ll tell you later. Just rest assured, this is beneficial for you and has no drawbacks." Shen Siyuan didn’t want to fabricate any excuses.

"Is that so..."

Huang Huijuan pondered upon hearing this and extended her hand in front of Shen Siyuan.

"What for?"

"Since this thing is so good, give us so more to try."

She said it casually, but Shen Siyuan was sweating profusely.

"You really are my mother; it’s a good thing indeed, but can you treat it like candy? Your bodies can’t handle that; even eating ginseng can be too much, and you’ve felt its effects, so do you know how precious it is? Having one pill is already good enough..."

Whether it’s precious or not depends on whether Shen Siyuan is willing to spend the ti.

Still, he tried to stress its importance, fearing that after being complinted a few tis, his mother might promise soone a pill.

Although it’s not precious to Shen Siyuan, it’s not sothing he can give away to just anyone.

"Did you save one for Grandma?" Shen Jianjun imdiately asked.

"Of course I did."

"Won’t Grandma have any problems after eating it?" Shen Jianjun was sowhat uneasy.

"Don’t worry, she will only get better."

"As long as you’re confident about it that’s fine. She’s old and not like us, she can’t just eat anything recklessly..."

"Got it, I’m leaving now."

Shen Siyuan grabbed the things he had brought for Grandma and was about to leave when Shen Jianjun pulled him back and handed him a bank card.

"You’ll need money to go out with your girlfriend. The PIN is your birthday. I’ve deposited so money in there, take it and use it, but be careful with how you spend it..."

"Got it."

Shen Siyuan unceremoniously took it.

Since his parents weren’t short on money, he had no reason to refuse the money they gave him.

"I’m off." Shen Siyuan then finally picked up his things and left.

"Do you want to take my car?"

"No need, I’ll go straight back to the city after seeing Grandma." Shen Siyuan said.

Watching his departing figure, Huang Huijuan said to Shen Jianjun, "See, I told you, he ca back just to ask for money."

"Let him ask. Isn’t the money we earn for him to spend? Finally getting a girlfriend wasn’t easy for him."

"Not only is this girl pretty, but her family background is good too. I just don’t know if she and our son can last." Huang Huijuan began to fret.

Sotis, it can be worrying when the girl’s conditions are too good.

"Grandma..."

From afar, Shen Siyuan saw Grandma squatting at the edge of the land in front of the door, tending to her long strip of vegetable garden.

Grandma’s old house had been torn down by his father, Shen Jianjun, who built her a three-room flat-topped house instead, and laid a cent floor in front of the door, right before the village farmland.

In spring and sumr, it was full of vibrant greenery and bursting with life. When autumn ca, it turned golden, a sight so beautiful that it was no wonder Grandma didn’t want to leave.

Between the cent floor and the farmland, there was a long, rectangular buffer zone, where Grandma grew so vegetables, tended ticulously by her.

Hearing Shen Siyuan’s voice, she turned around and looked back.

Her eyesight wasn’t good, she couldn’t see who it was clearly, but she recognized Shen Siyuan’s voice and asked, "Is that you, Si Yuan?"

"Yes, it’s , Grandma."

Shen Siyuan walked up with his things, and finally Grandma could see who it was. She imdiately dropped her shovel and stood up with a face full of joy.

"What brings you over today?"

She reached out to touch Shen Siyuan’s face but, rembering her hands were covered in dirt, she drew them back.

Instead, she just stared at Shen Siyuan, examining him closely.

"I missed you."

"That’s just your sweet talk. You’re nothing like your mother; she starts talking, and it could kill with annoyance," Grandma said, with a hint of dissatisfaction in her tone as her gaze left Shen Siyuan’s face.

Shen Siyuan burst into hearty laughter upon hearing this, not because there was any tension between his mom and Grandma. It was just his mom’s personality. Grandma knew how her daughter-in-law was and that she ant no harm, but she got annoyed all the sa.

"Let’s go inside, Grandma has so treats for you."

No matter how old Shen Siyuan was, Grandma still treated him like a child; she always had so snacks for him every ti he visited.

"Grandma, I also have sothing delicious for you."

"You’re spending money recklessly again. Grandma is old now, with not many teeth left, what’s there for to eat? You should keep it for yourself..."

"I didn’t buy it with money, I made it myself."

"Oh, then I must try it," Grandma said cheerfully.

Little did she know, this one taste would bring such a big change to her.
