Qi Gai rode his horse to the administration building and dismounted. After bowing at the foot of the steps, he spoke loudly, "Qi Gai pays respect to the Lord Governor."

"Co on up," a voice called from the dais.

"Yes, sir."

Qi Gai replied, adjusted his attire, and strode up the steps.

At first, his steps were light, even leaping up several steps at a ti, but gradually, he slowed down as if carrying a burden weighing a thousand pounds, ascending one step at a ti.

Fortunately, the pressure was within his tolerance and did not crush him directly.

Not until he reached the last step did the pressure completely dissipate.

Qi Gai adjusted his attire once more before stepping inside.

The Lord Governor was sitting behind the long desk, looking down at sothing.

Miss Xiao Yue stood behind him while two young girls played around a pillar.

This peculiar scene appeared quite abrupt yet unexpectedly harmonious.

"General Qi, these days must have been hard on you and your many brothers," Shen Siyuan said with a smile, raising his head.

Qi Gai hurriedly bowed, "Your praise is too high, my lord. Maintaining the peace of Qiong Province and eradicating the Mud Worms is rely my duty, unworthy of the term ’hardship.’

Shen Siyuan waved his hand, "There’s no need to be so modest. Credit should be given where it’s due; I will rember these achievents."

Qi Gai and his team did more than just maintain the peace; they handled a vast number of lingering Mud Worms.

The remaining Mud Worms, though not strong, were troubleso and required considerable effort to clear.

"Thank you for your understanding, my lord!" Qi Gai bowed in thanks once more.

In response to his deanor, Shen Siyuan said nothing further, understanding the ancient military customs prioritizing hierarchy and propriety, pushing too hard would be inappropriate.

"During the cleanup of evil, did you encounter any difficult ones?" Shen Siyuan asked.

Though most of the remaining evils were weak, so with special abilities proved extrely troubleso, causing significant damage if mishandled.

Thus, Shen Siyuan had instructed beforehand not to force engagent with such evils, to retreat first, and wait for his return for resolution.

"I am ashad to say there are a few troubleso evils we tried to handle but to no avail..."

As Qi Gai spoke about these specific evils, Shen Siyuan listened and then turned to Xiao Yue by his side, "Xiao Yue, take Duoduo and Dou Dou to these evils. Eliminate them if possible, but if not, don’t force it; prioritize safety and report back imdiately."

"Okay." Xiao Yue nodded quickly in agreent, turned, and walked towards the two little ones playing around the pillar, pulling them back.

The three transford into a gust of Yin Wind, vanishing from the hall instantly.

"Lord Governor, Liu Wangshui has co to pay respect." At this mont, Grandpa Liu’s voice rang out.

"Co on up," Shen Siyuan said.

anwhile, Xiao Yue, who had just flown out above the administration building, stopped instantly, and, along with Duoduo and Dou Dou, slowly descended from the air, a genuine smile on her face, calling out softly, "Grandpa."

Her bond with Grandpa Liu was forged long before he even stepped into the Netherworld, and they had long been close friends.

Not having seen each other for days, naturally, they were very close.

Xiao Yue and Grandpa Liu exchanged a few words without delay, and again transford into Yin Wind, heading to the place Qi Gai had just ntioned, with Duoduo and Dou Dou.

-----------------

The Yin Wind carried them over the long street, swiftly out of Qiong Province city walls, and followed the direction Qi Gai ntioned, landing by a desolate creek.

The stream flowed gently, its water faintly grey and muddy, while large clusters of decaying reeds grew along the banks.

The wilted stalks and leaves had long lost their vitality, drooping feebly in the muddy water, whispering in the wind like countless fragnted murmurs.

Deep within the reeds lay a muddy swamp, black-brown silt bubbling with gas and emitting a pungent, rotten stench, with unknown insects hovering above, adding an eerie atmosphere.

"This is the place."

Xiao Yue stopped and scanned the depths of the swamp, her eyes showing a faint chill.

"The evil is hiding in the silt, a clever choice."

Duoduo wrinkled her little nose and instinctively retreated, "It stinks. Why are these things hiding in the mud?"

"Naturally for fear of being discovered."

Xiao Yue sneered and turned to Dou Dou.

"Dou Dou, use your Divine Fire to burn this reed marsh and force out these worms hiding in the mud."

"Alright!" Dou Dou’s eyes lit up, patting her little chest in response.

She loved setting fires the most, fun and cool.

With hardly a pause, Dou Dou opened her little mouth, and gently blew towards the reed marsh.

A small fla of orange-red burst forth from her mouth like a lively fire snake, instantly landing on the yellowed reed stalks.

Strangely enough, this Divine Fire was no ordinary fla; as soon as it landed on the reeds, it burst into blazing flas, yet it didn’t spread wildly, instead, it seed alive, rapidly extending along the reed clumps.

The flas roared, the orange-red firelight reddened half the sky, and the scorching heat drove away much of the swamp’s putrid sll.

The reed stalks crackled and quickly turned to ashes, scattered by the wind in mid-air.

Even more astonishing, the heat of the Divine Fire far surpassed ordinary flas, after burning the reeds, its force unabated, it spread directly down to the swamp below.

The originally dark and sticky silt quickly evaporated under the Divine Fire, bubbling rapidly before gradually calming.

The mud and water in the swamp dried and cracked visibly, the black-brown silt turning hard, the swamp capable of engulfing deep throats turned into dry land in a mont, riddled with fine cracks.

"Wow! Amazing!" Duoduo’s eyes widened in awe.

Dou Dou, upon hearing this, was naturally extrely proud, her little head almost lifting to the sky.

Xiao Yue nodded slightly, knowing Dou Dou’s Divine Fire was extraordinary, yet never expecting such trendous power, not only burning the reeds but dehydrating the entire swamp, saving a great deal of trouble.

At that mont, a sound of "crack crack" suddenly erged from the dry land, several dark shadows crawled out from the cracks, exactly the evils Qi Gai had ntioned.

These evils were entirely black, shaped like giant worms, covered in slimy mucus, their heads adorned with nurous small eyes, mouths with huge suckers, teeth sharp as blades, looking terrifying.

Clearly, the heat of the Divine Fire left them nowhere to hide. As soon as they erged, they shrieked sharply, rushing toward Dou Dou and the others, their stench wafting back over them.
