Chapter 303: Until We et Again

Ash watched the mories unfold like a ghost tethered to his past self, and a dread settled in his chest.

Not fear of death. Not fear of the invaders. But fear of sothing far more embarrassing... It was that this incarnation was a complete simp for Aphrodite and Persephone.

He rubbed his temples.

And he knew although they were stronger than him... and should be the one shielding him.

But he wouldn’t allow it... not for a second.

So, he sighed as he watched the incarnation move.

---

Ash didn’t even think... he didn’t have to.

If it wasn’t obvious by now, when it ca to these two won... he would give everything as they were his heart.

So, without hesitation he grabbed both of the won by the waist and pushed them into the portal of his Dinsion.

"Ash, don’t you dare—!"

Aphrodite scread his na.... and Persephone reached for him... Yet it was already done...

And as the portal swallowed them both, he sent a ssage directly into their minds.

"My hearts...this is not the ending. Through our children... we shall et again."

The last thing they saw was Ash turning toward the invaders — alone — as the annihilation sphere descended.

BOOOOOM!!!!

The 60th Heaven shook.

And the man who embodied Love and Sex... he vanished from that point onward. Yet it was done with a smile on his face.

----

As the mories ended, Ash found himself drifting back into the void — the sa endless, starless expanse where his incarnational echoes resided.

Fifty Cycles’ worth of mories settled into him like molten tal cooling into shape.

And with them ca the emotions. The attachnts.... and the love. Sothing that slightly irritated him.

"Just.... great. You could’ve at least gotten stronger first," he muttered, dragging a hand down his face.

The void behind him twisted, rippling like water disturbed by a stone.

Three figures stepped out of the distortion — each radiating a presence that bent the emptiness around them.

The Second Incarnation appeared first, brushing back his short grey hair with a smug grin.

"Haha! I’ve never lost a bet on your antics, kid."

The Third Incarnation followed... He said nothing, simply giving Ash a slow nod of approval before closing his colossal lids again.

Then ca the Fourth — exactly as Ash rembered him. Long red??and??white hair. Eyes shaped like crimson hearts.

A smile that was equal parts charming and infuriating.

He shook his head with theatrical disappointnt.

"You should be more grateful, brat. That bloodline of Eternal Bonds? That’s all my doing. It’s just an offshoot of my essence."

Ash raised a brow. "Whatever, simp. What might have been an offshoot of what you had in your lifeti..."

"This is better... countless tis better. Am I wrong?"

A bark of laughter ca from the Second. "Pfft! No, kid, you’re not wrong at all."

The Fourth’s lip twitched. He clearly hated agreeing.

"You’re not wrong... but it’s not the sa," he said, folding his arms.

"You’re not the embodint of Erosence.... but once you return, you’ll understand my ’pain’ — being what you call an ’Adonis.’"

He said it with a tone that suggested he couldn’t wait to watch the chaos unfold.

Ash scoffed again. "Yeah, right. I’ll be damned if I let two won divide . I wear the pants in the relationship. And when we et again, they’ll fall in line."

He waved dismissively, already tired of the Fourth’s theatrics.

"Now shoo... You’ve caused enough problems as it is."

Ash turned toward the void, raising his voice.

"Hey, Old First... aren’t you going to co out again?"

The Second nudged the Fourth, whispering,

"Told you. This kid’s done with the bullshit."

The void rippled and the vague outline of the First appeared.

It’s massive half lidded eyes watched its greatest incarnations standing behind the most current.

He didn’t speak and only looked.

Ash smiled seeing the being still embodying the sa emotionless aura. He tilted his head as his trademark smile appeared on his face....

It was the one he wore whenever he was planning to do sothing absurd.

He stepped forward.

"Now... one thing for sure, I’m not dumb," Ash said, pacing toward the Eye. "Sure, I may not always take the most efficient route, but I know how to read the writing on the wall."

It was quite evident to Ash especially as soone well in depth with fantasy things.

And he unlike previous incarnations possessed knowledge beyond their mories and his current experiences.

He had the full knowledge of the Lower Dinsion’s history... which ant he knew of history that was lost... and from that combined with the most recent mories... it was all but confird.

He’d of course paid attention to the Cosmic Stele... sothing with nine listed dinsions and the one he inhabited was the Architect’s domain.

With him seeing this... the invasions... and then Lucy’s and Varn situation.

He spoke again.

"So," Ash said, stopping before the towering silhouette, "we’re the Ninth... what? House of existence?"

The Second tugged on the Fourth’s sleeve, ecstatic.

"I’m telling you, Haha another win! I swear I’m raking in cosmic money at this point."

The First finally spoke — a voice echoing from everywhere and nowhere.

"We are not houses... but Organisms. We are the Ninth Organism of Existence. The Architect... and the Eye of First Dawn."

Ash nodded slowly. "Right... right."

He looked tiny before the Eye — like a human before a giant — but his grin only widened.

"Now, I don’t know the goal you’ve planned or the sches running through that big eye of yours..."

He spread his arms as if offering a hug.

"But let’s get this straight. I’m not following it. I don’t know or care what your situation is. When the ti cos, I’ll destroy it — just as I’ll destroy this pitiful existence."

His aura flared.

"However... first things first."

He looked at the incarnations behind him — the echoes of who he had been.

"I am the last.... There will be no other incarnation.... No more reincarnation."

His voice deepened, resonating through the void.

"So why don’t you all co ho?"
