As a Trainer who already owned a Deoxys, Luo Yuan had anticipated this outco.

Beside him, Tyranitar acted first under his prior command.

"[Dig]!"

A large pit suddenly opened beneath Deoxys, swallowing it whole.

Deoxys had been fully focused on Gengar and Dragapult, completely unaware of the ambush from its previous opponent, Tyranitar.

Thrown off balance, Deoxys montarily lost its defensive stance.

Luo Yuan seized the opportunity in an instant.

"Gengar, [Dark Pulse]! Dragapult, [Shadow Ball]!" he ordered through their psychic link.

A chilling wave of dark energy swept across the battlefield, causing Deoxys to montarily slow down—its openings now even more pronounced.

At that exact mont, Dragapult fired a [Shadow Ball], aiming straight for Deoxys' core.

Whoosh!

The attack streaked through the air, locking onto Deoxys' vital spot.

Naturally, Deoxys wouldn't let itself be struck in the core. Even against weaker opponents, a direct hit there would deal severe damage.

However, due to the interference from [Dark Pulse], it couldn't switch into [Speed For] or use [Teleport] to evade.

Left with no other choice, Deoxys was forced to block with another part of its body.

Boom!

Half of Deoxys' body was engulfed by the [Shadow Ball]'s explosion.

Below, Tyranitar wasn't idle either. With a thunderous roar, a sharp rock spear erupted from the ground, striking toward Deoxys.

From a distance, Gengar released a dazzling array of multicolored lights—[Confuse Ray]—to further disrupt Deoxys' focus and perception.

For the first ti, Deoxys was overwheld.

Luo Yuan, however, remained calm.

In this world, no one understood Deoxys better than he did. As its Trainer, he was fully aware of both its strengths and its weaknesses.

That was why he had been able to push it into this dire situation.

Even so, defeating Deoxys with just this wouldn't be easy.

After all, unlike the previous Deoxys he had captured, this one wasn't critically injured.

While it was still recovering, its core remained intact.

To show proper respect, Luo Yuan decided to send out another Pokémon.

"Mimikyu!"

Wrapped in its eerie disguise, Mimikyu entered the battle.

Now, what had been a three-against-one fight beca a four-against-one.

Deoxys had just barely begun to regain control of the situation when Mimikyu struck—

A single [Shadow Claw] sent Deoxys, who had been trying to take to the air, crashing back down.

Seizing the mont—

Luo Yuan placed his hand over the [Keystone] on his wrist.

At the sa ti, receiving his ntal command, Gengar activated the [ga Stone] embedded in its body.

A brilliant glow erupted from Gengar.

Its dark gray body turned pure white as it [ga Evolved] into ga Gengar!

Now significantly larger, ga Gengar pressed its hands against the ground—activating its [Shadow Tag] ability.

Deoxys, having just switched into [Speed For] to escape the chaotic lee, suddenly felt an imnse force locking it in place.

It couldn't move.

Its speed advantage was gone.

Seeing this, the other Pokémon wasted no ti capitalizing on the mont.

In an instant, they all rushed forward.

Dragapult unleashed [Phantom Force], Gengar struck with [Shadow Punch], Mimikyu slashed with another [Shadow Claw], and Tyranitar—eager for payback—went straight for a [Bite], sinking its fangs into Deoxys.

At that mont, Deoxys perfectly embodied the phrase: Even a skilled fighter can't fend off four opponents at once.

Had it been facing another Trainer, Deoxys wouldn't have struggled so much.

But its opponent was Luo Yuan.

Not only had Luo Yuan deployed three Ghost-type Pokémon, each benefiting from their affinity with spectral energy—

But he also understood Deoxys' battle strategies inside and out.

Luo Yuan could predict every one of Deoxys' movents just from its slightest physical shifts or psychic fluctuations.

In short, Deoxys was utterly trapped.

Once ga Gengar's [Shadow Tag] ability took effect, the battle was already decided.

Without its speed advantage, even if Deoxys' [Attack For] could deal devastating blows, it was ultimately forced into [Defense For]—left with no option but to endure.

As Luo Yuan casually used his psychic powers to shield the unconscious investigators from the battle's residual shockwaves, he continued issuing precise commands.

Finally, after enduring relentless attacks for nearly half an hour, Deoxys sent out a telepathic ssage.

It surrendered.

"Stand down!" Luo Yuan commanded.

He had to admit—Deoxys in [Defense For] was ridiculously tanky.

Deoxys stared at Luo Yuan.

For the first ti, he thought he caught a hint of resentnt in its usually emotionless gaze.

Luo Yuan, however, felt no guilt whatsoever.

After all, this ti, he had every reason to fight—he was avenging Tyranitar!

Still, Luo Yuan intended to keep his word.

Reaching down, he unclipped a Master Ball from his belt.

Swish.

Deoxys' gaze locked onto the Master Ball.

From its surface, it sensed sothing very familiar.

Luo Yuan lightly pressed the Poké Ball's release button.

Bang!

A flash of white light—

Luo Yuan's own Deoxys appeared on the battlefield.

An encounter between "Individual One" and "Individual Two."

The two Deoxys stood across from each other.

Without speaking, they exchanged an imnse amount of information through telepathic waves—sothing imperceptible to ordinary people.

As a psychic himself, Luo Yuan could perceive their communication.

Though he couldn't fully comprehend their exact words, he understood the general discussion.

They spoke about their experiences after arriving on Earth—

And more importantly, about being captured.

Yes—

Luo Yuan's Deoxys was now persuading the other Deoxys to join his team.

T/N: nahhhh I forgot just how dirty Luo Yuan can be, poor Deoxy's endured a jumping for 30 minutes
