After bidding farewell to her master, Liu i stepped into the crowded room.
The space was packed with kids seemingly older than her, so so tall she had to tilt her head just to see their faces.
"I wonder where my junior brother is," she thought, scanning the room before quietly taking a seat.
The preparation room itself was rather plain—just a vast hall filled with a few hundred chairs. Yet, the atmosphere was anything but calm.
Groups had already ford, so kids gathering in tight circles, making it difficult for others to move around.
Even before the selection process had begun, scuffles were already breaking out.
"Iron Claw, are you seriously doing this?"
"Hahaha! You were the one who ca over here flaunting your family's na!"
Liu i's gaze flickered toward the commotion. A burly youth stood with one foot on a chair, looking down at another boy sprawled on the ground.
The defeated boy had clearly taken a beating, though judging by his stubborn expression, it didn't seem like he'd had enough yet.
Liu i leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, watching with mild amusent.
As Liu i watched the ongoing drama with gleeful excitent, soone abruptly kicked her chair.
Her reaction was instant—without a second thought, she spun around and slamd the chair into the head of the person who kicked the chair.
"What the fuck?! Young Master, are you alright?!"
The two boys flanking the unfortunate victim looked utterly stunned by the turn of events.
But Liu i wasn't done. She had been enjoying an exciting spectacle, only to be rudely interrupted.
She was imnsely annoyed right now, she glared down at the boy she had just struck.
"Hey, you—male monkey."
"What?!" The boy, now thoroughly offended, shot up from the ground.
"Yeah, you. Male monkey who doesn't know what's good for him."
"Tsk! You dare—!"
"How dare you speak like that to Young Master Icehart?!" one of his lackeys finally snapped.
The other boy, eyes wide, stared at Liu i as if she were already a dead girl walking.
Liu i sneered. "You can't even lay a scratch on , while I can beat the living daylight out of you."
The three boys blinked in confusion. What did she an by that?
By now, the commotion had drawn a crowd, curious onlookers whispering amongst themselves.
Icehart felt the weight of their stares, his pride taking a hit. He couldn't just let this slide.
"Boys," he growled, "let's show this girl why n are always superior!"
With that, all three lunged at her at once.
The mont Icehart and his lackeys lunged at Liu i, the air in the preparation room tensed.
So of the gathered kids whispered among themselves, their voices filled with anticipation, while others smirked, already expecting to see the arrogant girl get beaten down.
After all, how could one girl possibly take on three boys at once?
But the mont their fists and kicks shot toward her, Liu i moved—gracefully, fluidly, like water slipping through the gaps in a broken cup.
Icehart's punch ca straight for her face, but with a simple tilt of her head, it sailed past her, causing him to stumble forward.
His lackey on the left tried to grab her from behind, only to clutch empty air as she crouched low at the last second.
The other goon, clearly not the smartest of the trio, had already committed to a wild kick—and unfortunately for him, his foot connected straight with Icehart's stomach.
"You idiot!" Icehart coughed, staggering back.
"S-Sorry, Young Master!"
But they didn't get ti to regroup because Liu i was already on the move.
"Hey, monkey," she called casually, her voice filled with mockery as she slipped behind Icehart and lightly tapped the back of his knee with her foot.
He instantly dropped into an awkward squat.
"Wha—?" Icehart barely had ti to react before Liu i's palm smacked the back of his head, making him jolt forward.
The crowd burst into laughter.
Icehart face turned red with fury, he roared, "Attack her together! Don't hold back!"
The two lackeys charged at her in unison, fists swinging wildly, but Liu i rely side-stepped at the last second.
The two boys crashed into each other with a painful thud, groaning as they slumped to the ground.
"Tsk, tsk," Liu i sighed, shaking her head in disappointnt. "If you're going to fight, at least have so coordination."
Icehart, now fuming, launched himself at her again. This ti, he was faster, more determined. His fist tore through the air like a hamr—only to et nothing.
Liu i wasn't there anymore.
Before he could process what had happened, a sharp pain blood on his forehead.
Smack!
"What the—" Icehart stumbled back, clutching his forehead.
Liu i grinned, twirling her palm. "I call that the 'monkey slap.' Effective, no?"
"You little—!"
Icehart swung again, putting all his strength into the attack. But Liu i effortlessly dodged, watching as his punch sailed straight toward one of his lackeys—again.
"Not agai—ARGH!" The lackey went tumbling back, groaning in pain.
Liu i leaned forward, hands on her hips. "Wow, Icehart. Are you sure you're not on my side? You've done more damage to your own team than I have!"
The crowd howled with laughter, so clutching their stomachs, others wiping tears from their eyes.
Icehart, panting heavily, looked like he was about to explode. His face was so red it was unclear if it was from exhaustion or embarrassnt.
His only remaining lackey hesitated, clearly regretting all his life choices leading up to this mont.
But Liu i wasn't done.
"Alright, let's wrap this up," she said casually.
With a sudden burst of speed, she stepped forward, easily dodging Icehart's desperate final punch.
In one swift motion, she tripped him by hooking her foot behind his ankle, sending him crashing onto his back with a loud thud.
The room went dead silent for a mont.
Then—cheers erupted.
"She destroyed him!"
"That was hilarious!"
"Icehart got played, HAHAHA!"
Liu i dusted off her hands, looking down at Icehart with a smug grin. "That was fun, monkey. Let's do it again soti."
Icehart lay sprawled on the floor, groaning in pain. Gritting his teeth, he gestured for his last remaining follower to co closer.
Leaning in, the lackey listened intently as Icehart whispered sothing into his ear.
The boy nodded without hesitation and imdiately rushed off.
Still clutching his aching body, Icehart muttered under his breath, his eyes burning with resentnt. "Don't think you're safe."
