Ruan Yiyi followed the movents of that creature’s rising and falling and waved towards her. Wen Xian frowned deeply as she carefully observed the creature, only to realize it was a sea lion.
The sea lion seed to be injured.
Wen Xian hadn’t forgotten the rescue asures David and others had taught them before. She first cald down imdiately and found a fishing net scoop on the boat, which had a long handle that could directly encompass the creature.
Only then did she proceed with the rescue, to avoid accidentally harming the volunteers.
Wen Xian took the fishing net scoop and jumped straight in, swimming towards the creature.
Lu Xiao also noticed her actions and his face tensed up as he quickly swam over as well.
Ruan Yiyi erged from the water, spitting out a mouthful of seawater. Her wet hair scattered down, clinging to her cheeks and neck. She watched Wen Xian swim over and gasped to her,
"The sea lion’s mouth has been pierced by a fishhook; it’s bleeding."
Wen Xian, holding the fishing net scoop, chased after it, trying to catch it within the net, but its resistance was too strong.
Even though it couldn’t bite them due to its injury, it had a sizeable body and great strength, churning up waves in its struggle.
Both of them found handling the sea lion very challenging, let alone Ruan Yiyi on her own earlier.
And at that mont, Lu Xiao arrived.
Still wearing his diving goggles and biting onto his breathing tube, he was much more convenient than them. Taking the fishing net scoop from Wen Xian, he dived into the water, and in just a few monts, he had the sea lion ensnared.
Wen Xian imdiately controlled the sea lion’s tail, working together to haul it onto the boat.
"Damn, this guy is way too heavy."
After climbing aboard, Wen Xian collapsed on her knees on the deck, panting and said.
Ruan Yiyi also ca aboard, wiping the drops of water off her face. Her breath was sowhat erratic, "I followed it and swam for a long ti. Its entire mouth has been pierced by fishhooks and lines; it can’t feed properly and is in great pain."
Lu Xiao’s stern eyes swept over her once but said nothing, only pressing down on the sea lion and gradually unzipping the net from the top.
"Wife, co and help."
As he finished his sentence, two figures prepared to go over.
Wen Xian imdiately moved faster than her to hold down the sea lion and glared unapologetically at Ruan Yiyi, "My husband is calling , what are you crowding in for?"

Wen Xian couldn’t help but pout, almost hanging a soy sauce bottle off her lips, and muttered to Lu Xiao, "You see, she’s not denying she was aiming for you, she even tried to take my place."
Lu Xiao glanced at her and signaled her to look at the sea lion’s mouth.

The sea lion’s upper and lower lips had been pierced by fishing line and a sharp fishhook. The wound had been there for a while, and the situation was not good.
By then, the sea lion gradually stopped struggling.
Ruan Yiyi brought over the toolbox, and Lu Xiao imdiately found a pair of pliers.
He controlled the sea lion’s mouth with one hand and carefully removed the fishing line from the lower lip with the other, while the most serious injury was to the upper lip—a bent and rigid fishhook had brutally pierced through it. Wen Xian’s heart ached at the sight.
No creature is without life, and the response to pain is universally sensitive.
