At these words, Lu Xiao’s form stiffened.
Ga Zhuo caught on and quickly laughed to change the subject:
"Co on, let’s continue, we still want to know how the Captain managed to win over our sister-in-law. Captain, please share so tips, teach our team’s lads a thing or two."
This ti, Zha Xi spun the bottle, and coincidentally it pointed straight at Lu Xiao, imdiately elevating the atmosphere of the entire room to a climax; everyone cheered and scread, clapping their hands.
Lu Xiao was playing for the very first ti and he chose "Truth."
Wen Xian’s heart rose to her throat, and her ears turned faintly red.
Because between her and Lu Xiao, it had always been her taking the initiative before, touching his leg under the table, knocking on his door at midnight, teasing him when buying lingerie, sending him flirty ssages...
Thinking back, it really was blush-inducing; she could hardly believe how bold and passionate she had been in pursuing him.
Encouraged by everyone else, Zha Xi smiled and posed a question:
"Captain Lu, when did you start having improper thoughts about our sister-in-law...!"
As soon as this question was asked, everybody scread and jeered, laughing joyfully.
This question was excellent, considering that in the years before their sister-in-law appeared, their boss showed no interest in won, despite many trying to set him up on dates.
Yet he was like soone uninterested in won, indifferent to the point of never sparing them a glance.
One might have thought he was indifferent to won altogether.
But hearing the question, Wen Xian’s cheeks burned even hotter, and yet when she looked at Lu Xiao, there was an expectant gleam in her eyes.
After all, she too wanted to know the answer to that question...
But she feared that Captain Lu, the straight-shooting man, would say it was her persistent attempts at flirting that finally moved his heart.
Lu Xiao fell silent for a mont, lightly pursing his lips, his clear eyes cast downward, his mind seemingly deep in thought, and when he finally spoke, he said slowly:
"Probably it was love at first sight for , the mont I saw her, I liked her."
At these words, not only was Wen Xian completely surprised, but even the team mbers, after a brief mont of astonishnt, burst into shouts and laughter:
"Boss, what love at first sight, it’s all about lust at first sight, didn’t think you could escape our sister-in-law’s beauty either!"
Lu Xiao looked at Wen Xian, seriously yet calmly stated, "Two different things, matters of the heart can’t be explained, but..."
He paused in his tone: "To be fair, my wife is indeed beautiful."
