"Why are you doing to , Selene?" Noah’s voice shook as he sat on the sofa "I know you don’t feel the sa way about , but why did you accept my proposal only for you to keep going back to him?"
"Noah," I rushed to his side "Honestly, it’s not as you think it is. He was dying and the mugwort shot wasn’t working. Back when I was still his mate, any intimate act of affection used to help him heal quickly,".
Noah paused, as he raised his gaze to "Are you trying to tell that you would keep this up? That whenever he’s weak, you would fuck him?" his eyes flashed with anger.
"Don’t say it like that, Noah," I hung my head miserably "And it’s just one ti okay? He takes mugwort shots too, so I’m sure he’ll be fine. I don’t know what happened today but it didn’t just work. I promise, Noah. It won’t happen again. I want to be with you,".
His eyes softened as he turned to , taking my hands in his "A-Are you sure, Selene?" his voice broke. "He’s your mate after all and the father to the girls. Would you be able to be with knowing that a part of you still yearns for him,".
"No part of yearns for him, Noah," I tried to convince myself "And the only reason why everything seems quiet now is because we’ve not stayed in the sa space for more than eight hours. We were destined to hate each other, Noah and only an act of true love or selflessness can break that curse. Going back to Xavier would be a disaster...".
"But the girls," he sighed "They want their father,".
"And no one is stopping them from being with him only it would be much later when they’re old enough to make decisions for themselves but for now, they’ll have to do exactly what I want. Let’s just pray that Xavier doesn’t try to do anything funny but I am convinced, I want you to be my mate,".
"Oh, Selene!" he collapsed against , wounding his arms around my body "I love you so much, I swear to the moon... I love you,".
My heart pounded anxiously at his confession. I didn’t know what to say.
"Mom!" Vina’s voice sounded from behind us.
I jumped away from Noah feeling guilt creep up my face as I turned to face her.
"Hey darling," I limped to her "Are you alright? Do you want to get the doctor?" I asked.
"I’m fine," she said searching the room "Where is Daddy?" she asked.
"He stepped out a few monts ago," I told her as my gaze went to Maeve who was still sleeping soundly "But he’ll be back. Are you hungry? Do you want anything?"
"The attack on the plane was because of you and Daddy. So people are not happy that you’re back to camp and so they want to eliminate you this ti for good. They just didn’t expect that dad would be on that plane that day," she said.
I shifted with unease as I felt Noah’s eyes looking in our direction. I had successfully hidden the girls’ clairvoyance from him for nearly three years and I wanted it to be that way. The fewer people know about the girls, the better for .
"That’s okay dear," I hugged her tightly to "Everything is alright and we’ll be fine okay. We’ll soon be on our way ho, okay? Alpha Noah is making sure of that,".
She nodded and pulled back from my arms for a while as she stared at solemnly "I saw you getting married to Alpha Noah and..."
I noticed Noah coming closer to us and imdiately placed a hand over her mouth as I turned to look at Noah who had a worried expression on his face.
"Is she alright?" he asked coming to kneel beside as he stretched his hand towards Vina who entered his arms imdiately "Are you alright dear?" he asked.
"Yes," Vina murmured pressing into his arms then she turned to look at , still in his arms "Now that you’re going to be with Alpha Noah, does it an I would have two daddies?" she asked innocently.
Her question threw off-guard; I didn’t know what to say.
"If that’s okay with you," Noah responded "It would be such an honor,".
"Maeve would not be happy about that," Vina sighed in her arms "She badly wants to stay with Dad. Don’t be offended, Alpha Noah, Maeve likes you but I think she lies about Daddy more,".
"How about you?" Noah asked staring at her intently "Do you like enough to be your dad?"
"I know you’ve always liked mom," Vina said with a wistful smile "Way before you confessed to her. I used to see you check her room each night to see if the windows are locked and all the tis she went out on dates with other n, you would pace around until she ca back ho but my mom will never like you the way you do to her,".
My heart resud its pounding at Vina’s revelation. A ghost smile settled on Noah’s lips as he nodded.
"I know that, Vina. She’s bound to your father either way, so it’ll be difficult to get her to like back so much,".
"But she’ll take care of you," Vina said confidently "My mum thinks you’re a good man, Alpha Noah,".
Noah’s gaze rested on for a minute before he turned back to face Vina.
"I am assuming that you’ve agreed to let marry your mom, right?"
Vina nodded "You have my blessing and I’ll try to keep my sister in check. She can get quite vicious whenever she’s angry,".
"Thank you dear," Noah smiled hugging her again.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Lucius entered, his eyes flashed with urgency.
"Where is Alpha Xavier?" he asked.
"I don’t know," I rose to my feet "Did sothing happen? You look troubled," I observed.
"Our borders have been infiltrated by Alpha Kurtis as we speak,".
