Corbin Prescott saw him like this and was extrely worried, "Boss, actually..."

Julian Fordham seed to notice him only then and impatiently interrupted, "Get out! I want to talk to the baby."

"Bo... "

"Get out!" Julian Fordham shouted in anger.

Corbin Prescott had no choice but to leave the bedroom first. He carefully walked to the end of the corridor and dialed a number, "Hello, Dr. Xiao, this is Corbin Prescott. Our boss is in a bit of a bad state now. Could you co over as soon as possible? I’m sowhat worried he’ll have an episode."

The voice on the other end was serious and cold, "First tell what happened?"

"Sorry, this is a private matter of the boss, I can’t divulge it, but he has just lost the most important person to him, and his emotions are very unstable."

"You stabilize him, I’ll be there as soon as possible."

"Yes, I understand."

Corbin Prescott made several calls, summoning bodyguards just in case.

He looked at the tightly closed bedroom door, anxiously uncertain whether to go inside.

If he went in and triggered Julian Fordham, would he have an episode?

But if he didn’t go in, in case he did sothing inside, what then?

Corbin Prescott pressed his ear against the door, but the soundproofing was so good that no sound could be heard.

No matter, even if Julian Fordham hits him and throws him out, he has to watch over Julian Fordham.

Corbin Prescott tried to push the door, only to find it locked from the inside.

"Boss! Are you okay?"

There was no sound from inside, and Corbin Prescott suddenly felt sothing wasn’t right.

Fortunately, the master bedroom wasn’t equipped with a burglar-proof door, so he forcefully kicked it open, but there was no sign of Julian Fordham in the bedroom?

The bathroom lights were off, but there was the faint sound of running water.

Why was he showering at this ti without turning on the light?

"Boss? Are you inside?" Corbin Prescott tentatively asked.

A man’s voice ca from inside, "Get out!"

Though enraged, it couldn’t conceal his weakness.

Corbin Prescott dared not delay, and kicked the bathroom door in.

With a "bang," he turned on all the bathroom lights.

Under the lights, he saw the man lying in the bathtub, Julian Fordham, holding a sealed bag, with blood streaming from his right wrist.

Red blood stained the bathtub, and the handso man resembled a demon of the blood-colored Lotus Pond, blooming the decadent blossom at the last mont of life.

His eyes had lost their focus, and with his left hand, he gathered the sealed bag to his chest, his voice gentle, "Baby, Dad is coming to be with you."

The bright red blood stained Corbin Prescott’s eyes.

"Boss!"

Victoria Monroe found herself amid a field of daylilies, with flowers of all colors filling the entire valley.

Where was this place?

Suddenly, soone tugged at the hem of her dress, and she looked down to find herself still wearing that pure white nightgown.

The dress was brand new and spotless, without a trace of blood.

As if the miscarriage at the pool was rely a nightmare she had.

She heard the innocent voice of a child humming a tune, and looking toward the direction of the song, she saw two children squatting in the flower bushes.

She walked over to the children and bent down to ask, "What are you doing here? Where is your mom?"

As soon as the words dropped, the little girl turned around and placed the woven flower crown onto her head.

Looking at the little girl’s face, Victoria began to cry like rain.

The little girl was unmistakably a replica of her!

The little boy beside her placed the flower crown around her neck and said with a beaming smile, "Our mom is right here."

At this mont, Victoria seed to understand sothing and kneeled on the ground, hugging the two children.

"My darlings, I’m sorry."

The children gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, "Mom, don’t cry."

They held Victoria Monroe’s hand and played around the valley, swinging, playing hide and seek, lying on the grass together, watching the drifting clouds in the sky.

Victoria gradually forgot her sadness, chatting away with them about many things.

It wasn’t clear how much ti had passed, when the little girl let go of Victoria Monroe’s hand, "Mom, it’s ti, I have to go."

The little boy held her hand and said in a childish voice, "Sister, let’s go together."

The little girl embraced him, her voice gentle, "No, you have to stay and take care of Mom for ."

Victoria held her tightly, her expression filled with panic, "Don’t go, Mom can’t be without you."

"Mom was wrong, Mom shouldn’t have thought of getting rid of you."

"You are the treasures I’ve longed for so desperately, how could I do that to you?"

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, stay..."

The little girl gently smiled, rubbing her cheek against Victoria’s neck, "No, I’ve never blad you, Mom, I love you."

"Mom, if fate allows, we will et again."

Victoria Monroe, tears blurring her eyes, looked at the little girl in front of her and asked tremulously, "Next ti, choose to be your mom again, okay? I will definitely protect you."

The little girl nodded, then extended her hand.

"Okay, let’s make a pinky promise."

Their hands overlapped, a big one and a small one, as Victoria choked up, "A hundred years, no changes."

"Yes, no changes."

After speaking, the girl’s figure gradually beca transparent in her embrace, the last image being her radiant smile.

"Mom, be happy."
