The wheels spun rapidly across the road, splashing countless droplets.
Rhys’s heartbeat quickened; having been calm and collected since childhood, even piloting planes through clouds with composure, yet now he felt increasingly tense as he approached the Fordham Family.
He took out his phone and dialed Victoria Monroe’s number, wanting to ensure she was okay.

The black Maybach sped like a ghost through the streets, racing to its destination.
From Portoros to Kenton, Rhys rushed all the way, and when he arrived, he only heard Faye York’s panicked shout, "Blood, there’s blood in the water!"
Even without seeing anyone yet, Rhys instinctively knew that sothing had happened to Victoria Monroe.
He didn’t use an umbrella, sprinting through the rain.
But he was still a step too late.
He saw Julian Fordham holding Rachel Hayes, while Lana Jason was already frightened, realizing Victoria Monroe had been pushed into the water by her, knowing if she was injured, Julian Fordham wouldn’t spare her.
At that mont, no one considered Victoria Monroe’s pregnancy; they assud the blood she lost was due to earlier injuries from the glass door shattering.

Rhys shed his coat and shoved it into Assistant Woods’s arms, urgently running towards the pool, instructing, "Seal off the area, make sure no pictures get out!"
Assistant Woods hurriedly followed with an umbrella, "Understood."
As Rhys passed by the still-filming photographer, he grabbed the cara and smashed it on the ground before the photographer could react.

Before the photographer could even start to panic, Assistant Woods coldly stated, "We’ll compensate you double for any losses."
Julian Fordham finally managed to drop Rachel Hayes, while Rhys had already leaped into the water to pull Victoria Monroe into his embrace.
