Xiao Ran handed her a bowl of egg drop soup, saying, “It’s not much, but it should warm you up.”
Li Lizhi added so sesa oil, enhancing the flavor, and happily remarked, “It slls so good!”
Seeing Li Lizhi’s delight, Xiao Ran couldn’t tell if she was overlooking sothing or genuinely didn’t mind.
Li Lizhi, still wanting more, exclaid, “I’m so full!” and patted her belly.
“Go wash up and get so rest!” Xiao Ran advised.
Li Lizhi nodded and went to the bathroom while Xiao Ran took care of the dishes. After a quick wash, Li Lizhi returned to the bedroom, checking the brazier before lying down.
Though it was colder outside, Li Lizhi felt warm and cozy.
Once Li Lizhi fell asleep, Xiao Ran joined her in the bedroom, not rushing their acquaintance.
“It’s only been two days. Patience is key,” Xiao Ran thought to himself.
Lying down, he turned off the lights, saying, “Changle, good night!”
“Xiao Ran, good night!” Li Lizhi responded.
Excited by her return and the warm soup, Li Lizhi found sleeping hard. Feeling that Xiao Ran was asleep, she couldn’t resist approaching him, crossing the invisible boundary.
Rubbing against the bed, she thought, “You initiated this. I won’t hold back in the future.”
Xiao Ran’s lips curled slightly in the darkness, continuing to feign sleep.
