Chapter 22: The Proud Princess Changle

Li Shimin didn’t mind the cold. Taste it, and he wholeheartedly praised the fish soup. Although it had cooled, it didn’t hinder Li Shimin from finishing it all.

Looking at the empty food box, Li Shimin still appeared unsatisfied. Li Shimin planned to inquire with Empress Zhangsun tomorrow. Li Lizhi was in high spirits at the Princess Mansion and promptly dismissed Yushu.

“Your Highness, I take my leave!” Yushu noticed Princess Changle’s increasingly abnormal behavior.

“Regarding the matters of the Princess’s residence, we must not speak of it casually!” Li Lizhi firmly reminded.

“Understood!” Yushu pledged not to disclose anything and kept others away to avoid discovering Princess Changle’s anomaly.

Satisfied, Li Lizhi returned to the dormitory. Yushu, having followed Li Lizhi since childhood, was trustworthy. Entering the dormitory, though no longer cold, Li Lizhi preferred the bedroom side. The bedroom, though small, felt warr and more holy.

Li Lizhi didn’t rush but stood at the boundary between the bedroom and the palace, calling out, “Xiao Ran!”

Hearing Li Lizhi’s voice, Xiao Ran erged from the living room, surprised, “You’re back!”

Li Lizhi silently observed Xiao Ran, who seed a bit puzzled. Li Lizhi looked dignified and elegant, exuding a noble temperant—clearly a sophisticated young lady, not to be underestimated.

No wonder she’s called Li Lizhi. Her na suits her perfectly. She possesses natural beauty, living up to her reputation!

Xiao Ran recalled Princess Changle’s poetic praise: “The princess is endowed with both noble grace and profound wisdom, inheriting brilliance and wisdom like the brightest stars in the sky and shining like the radiant sunrise over a pearl-studded bay.”

Previously considered sowhat exaggerated, it now seed entirely fitting.

After a few seconds of eye contact, Xiao Ran quickly realized, “Don’t just stand there. Co and sit!”

Li Lizhi, with a touch of arrogance, nodded, “Since you’ve invited , I can’t refuse your kindness. I’ll accept your invitation!”

Satisfied with Xiao Ran’s response, Li Lizhi entered the bedroom. Besides the significant temperature difference at night, the bedroom and living room had vastly different lighting conditions.

Candles, indeed, couldn’t be compared to lamps. Entering the living room, Xiao Ran gestured to the sofa, “Your Highness, please sit!”

Li Lizhi nodded, “Okay!”

Sitting next to the dining table instead of the sofa, Li Lizhi expressed surprise, “It’s so soft and comfortable!”

“If Your Highness likes the sofa, it can be moved away. After all, it’s not valuable,” Xiao Ran suggested.

Li Lizhi shook her head, “That’s not acceptable! It would be bad if soone else found out.”

“Your Highness is considerate, unlike ,” complinted Xiao Ran.

Li Lizhi was pleased to find Xiao Ran more and more agreeable.

“Your Highness, is the queen Empress still accustod to the food?” Xiao Ran inquired.

Excitedly, Li Lizhi nodded, “The queen’s mother likes it very much. I don’t even know how to thank you.”

Empress Zhangsun’s complexion had improved significantly due to the als, thermal underwear, and hot water bottle.

Inwardly, Xiao Ran thought, “It’s enough to make a promise with your body…”

“These are trivial matters, Your Highness. Don’t worry about them,” assured Xiao Ran.

“The queen mother likes the als you cook, the hot water bottle, and the amazing clothes..,” Li Lizhi continued.

“That’s thermal underwear!” Corrected Xiao Ran.

Li Lizhi nodded, “So it’s called thermal underwear… I rember it. The thermal effect is really good!”

“If Your Highness likes it, I can provide more,” offered Xiao Ran.

“Really?” Li Lizhi was both surprised and delighted.

“Of course!” Xiao Ran wanted to discuss business but restrained himself from doing so. It would have to wait.
