Andria’s POV
Becca’s eyes narrowed, curiosity sparking. Liara tilted her head, silent but intrigued.
And just like that, all three of them were suddenly more interested in what had happened in that office than in Tracy’s spell.
"Does it an that we aren’t going to play hero and save the day again? Why are you all digressing from our mission?" I asked them in a shaky and high-pitched tone.
"You are the one trying to shift the subject, just tell us what took you so long in the duel master’s office, and maybe we can go back to playing heroes," Liara stated blatantly but accusingly, quirking her eyebrows.
"Besides, we want to hear sothing interesting to cool off this tension," Becca added.
"Well, I’m not a codian who eases tension," I said, directing my gaze to Becca.
"Nor did anything apart from finding out the solution to the spell curse happen at his office. He seems to be one of the few teachers who hasn’t been affected by the spell yet. He is soone we can trust," I lied, directing my gaze to Liara and quickly changing the subject.
"No, you don’t get to change the subject like that, Aria," Arlo called out, giving a knowing eye.
"Leave her be, she already said that all they did in the office was discuss Tracy’s spell and how to get rid of it," Liara voiced out, in a bid to defend . Then she looked at in a manner that said You owe so gossip.
"And you believe her," Arlo said, looking at the princess intently. He then smiled, "Uh-huh, I said it!" he exclaid. "The females are hiding sothing from . I guess I should excuse myself then."
"It hasn’t co to that, you tease, nothing happened again, douse that curiosity or rather kill that nosiness. Try to take her word for what it is," Becca stated, but shot a suspicious eye.
I knew I was lying, but they were being nosy, and if I owe anyone any explanation, it should be Becca. She had been transparent about her relationship with Arlo.
But for now, I don’t seem to understand what’s going on between and my mates, so I can’t start spilling any mate-related gist yet.
"Ok, enough of what transpired between Aria and our duel master, we should be curious to see what happens when she takes the potion. We should also start making preparations to spread her blood," Liara spoke up.
"Yeah, we need to get syringes that can help us extract her blood and inject it into their food," Becca suggested.
"That’s a good point, now where do we get them?" I asked, with furrowed eyebrows.
"I have got many syringes in my first aid box, my dad intentionally makes sure I have them in case of contingencies, considering I’m leaving my ho for the first ti," Liara announced, rushing to her room.
The room fell silent as she left us to retrieve the syringes, likely. She returned shortly with a mini-box, approximately 6 inches wide and 3 inches long.
"Here," she said, opening the box before us, a pile of syringe needles fell from the box.
"Wow, there are actually so many. Do they think you would keep getting into trouble when you need a syringe?" Becca teased with an excitent-filled expression.
"We have gotten the syringes now, each of us is to have one or two filled syringes with Aria’s blood. We are to make sure we insert this into everything that can be consud." Liara ordered.
"Since we have known the cause of the sudden change in the behavior of our fellow student and we have gotten the cure, there’s no need for l’s spying any longer," Becca stated, twirling her hair in her hands.
"Yeah, you’re right, I didn’t really want her to play spy for , I just told her to do that to make her feel I still trusted her. Larissa was comfortable enough to say all those things to her. It’s either that they are allies or she is playing in the middle to know who wins," I exhaled and continued.
"l was never to be trusted, from the day I found out that she was aware of the break-in to my room by the abductors, but she decided to remain in her room. Although she claims she was afraid to leave her room, I knew better than to trust her. l is neither my enemy nor a trusted friend."
"I thought as much, you are a clever one," Arlo remarked.
Although Arlo was almost always unserious, playful and nosy, he had a good intuition, and he senses things faster than I expected a weak wolf to.
"Yup, yup, yup, so now let’s get down to business," Becca said, standing up from where she was sitting and heading towards where I was seated.
The day was already getting dark, and besides, I didn’t want to take the potion in their presence in case it exposed that other part of to them.
"Don’t you all think it’s getting late already? Let’s head back to our dorms before it gets too late. You know it’s risky to walk at night these days," I suggested.
"Since it’s already getting late and we are not yet through with this ritual of a thing, I can accommodate you all this night, so you don’t have to bother about going back to your dorms," Liara said with a smile on her face.
I was so disappointed, looking at Becca and Arlo as they nodded in agreent; they were all excited to stay over here. I was excited to stay with them here, but I was scared of revealing myself.
I had no option but to drink this potion in front of them. I just hoped it wouldn’t expose that part of . I had already pictured the look of fear and distrust that would appear on their faces. It would look like they are running away from vampires, not knowing that they are supporting one.
"Ok, go ahead and take the potion, so that we can start extracting the blood. I know that you are scared to do that, but we no longer have ti. The earlier you do this, the earlier you can heal from the pain and the earlier we break the spell," Becca spoke up, drawing out of my thoughts.
