Andria’s POV

Until a shout was heard at the King’s palace, a vampire had raped his wife. The king hid it from the kingdom, fighting tooth and nail to reseal the sigil, which he succeeded in doing.

After the wife delivered the baby, the baby was killed, and the wife died. The king wept for days, refusing to eat or drink because the she-wolf he killed was his favourite mate.

Unknown to the king, the baby was swapped earlier, and after he strangled the child he thought was the child, the midwife returned it to where it was.

Took the baby away and nursed it, and later sold it to a couple in need of a child. That baby is..."

"Aria!!!, Aria!!!, wake up," his voice reverberated, and I was transported back to my body.

I opened my eyes slowly to the environnt, my head spinning, and the lights from the ceiling almost blinding .

"Aria, you are up," Zade’s voice registered in my head, as my body and eyes adjusted to the environnt, squinting my eyes a little before opening them.

"You passed out at the party, right on my chest, and you have been down for hours now. Your friends ca around, but they were very drunk, and they were escorted back to their dorms," Zade narrated. "How are you?" He asked.

I looked around, and the sun was already up. "It’s morning already?" I asked.

"It’s almost afternoon," he replied calmly.

I looked down at my clothing, and under the duvet I was wrapped in.

"Don’t worry, I wouldn’t do that, I’m not a necrophiliac," he replied, chuckling.

"I made breakfast for you, hoping you would be awake on ti, but you didn’t wake up. But nothing to worry, I’ll get sothing for you to eat right now, you must be having a hangover," he said, standing up and walking towards the door.

"Don’t worry, I can take care of myself when I get back to my dorm," I protested, but before I was done speaking, I winced in pain as my head pounded hard, and my stomach rumbled.

I clutched my stomach in embarrassnt and turned away.

He chuckled and closed the door behind him.

I sat there mourning my dignity, because of all the male wolves to witness this vulnerable part again, it’s Zade.

But sothing about him felt different. He was attentive and patient. He knew I was Andria, and he had stayed away for so ti until last night.

A few seconds later, he erged with a tray of food in his hands. The sll hit straight, and my stomach rumbled again.

"Fried chicken, coffee and toasted bread with so vegetables," he said, dropping the tray of food, and pointing to each food.

I studied him for a while, a question bugging . " How did you find out who I was?"

He chuckled a little, moving closer and kissing on the forehead gently. "You don’t have to bother yourself so much about that," he responded. "Just eat."

"No, I need to know Zade. Did you know all this ti?"

" No, Ari. The locket pendant on your neck that day prompted to go in search of Andria. I thought she was dead, and I won’t forgive myself if she died, and her accessories were sold to so wealthy heiress of the Wolfsburn family.

On reaching the Falcons’ ho, I was told that Andria has been missing, and no one has been able to find her. I insisted on checking your room. After ransacking the room, I found a little clue amongst the piles in your old locker.

You had drafted your transformation, and I saw the Ashwood emblem amongst the books in the locker. It ant one thing, Andria was in Ashwood, under so disguise, and your locket confird it."

mories of the old room that was never renovated when the other rooms were, mories of the lies Lena told against , and how my parents always believed her words over mine.

mories of how Zade had treated before he abandoned , mories of that night on the lawn, that night that finally broke , flooded through my mind.

"Leave alone," I burst out, slapping his chest. " I hate you, I hate you, Zade. You hurt , and you need to taste it."

"I know I have hurt you. I didn’t know the extent of what you had gone through until I got back from the Falcons.

Your room was still unattended, unlike the other rooms. I read the letters you wrote to yourself about all you were going through in that house.

I saw how badly I had joined them in hurting you, and I swore that I would make it up to you, Ari," he said, holding my hands.

"Let go, Zade. You can’t make it up to . You will pay for it, and there can never be us ever again," I yelled.

"I know, Ari, I know. That’s why I hurt in silence. I know how much you have bonded with your other mates.

You hate so much, you don’t want to ever be with ...I see it, and it hurts. I couldn’t tell why I felt that hate until I found out about Ari, and I couldn’t forgive myself.

Please, Ari, I’ve always loved you, and I’ll spend the last few days in Ashwood proving that to you and even after I have left Ashwood, I won’t stop proving it to you."

My throat went dry, and my eyes watered a bit. I swallowed the tears that were forming, my appetite abandoning .

"I think I’ve lost my appetite," I muttered under my breath.

"No, you can’t lose your appetite. You haven’t eaten, and you had a hangover; you need to eat sothing. Try, please, Ari," he pleaded, never removing his gaze from .

"Why are you being nice to ? I don’t like Zade. I loved you, but you misunderstood and took it for granted. And now all these little acts only trigger even more," I replied.

"I know that it will take ti, but I’ll win you back. I always loved you, and I love you now, even more," he replied, staring at hungrily and then averting his gaze.

"I’ll leave now, before I do sothing stupid. You are still as irresistible as always," he muttered under his breath.
