Andria’s POV

"Who are you rooting for?" Macy whispered while clapping her hands.

I turned to her, but she wasn’t even looking; she was concentrating on the stage.

I nudged her a little and then smiled.

There was a ti when I stood solidly behind Liara; in fact, I encouraged her to contest.

But things have changed over the past few weeks, and now I’m rooting for soone I wouldn’t have been rooting for four weeks ago.

"Well, you already know who I’m rooting for," I whispered back to her.

She chuckled. "Let take a wild guess...your mate’s sister, the one that always fought with you."

"Macy! Yes, we fought, but we are good now," I replied, shrugging a little and wiggling my eyebrows.

"I don’t think she would win, although I’m also rooting for her," Macy said, gulping a little. "I’m feeling the excitent wear off. I think I need so buzz."

"You have had enough already. Wait till the event is over, then you can drink yourself to a stupor," I reprimanded her.

"Duh, Ari...duh. You are such a boring ass," she lanted.

"We are calling all contestants up on the stage," the host announced.

The contestants rolled out with a different dress, and the crowd cheered as they stepped out. They looked even more gorgeous in their second attire.

Liara was looking like a literal goddess. Even though I hated what she had beco, I couldn’t deny the fact that Liara was very stunning.

They stood according to their numbers, the females together before the males.

"Can we give them a round of applause?" the host announced, after the screams and cheers had died down.

Another round of cheer, shout and clap echoed throughout the hall.

"After the assessnt of academic performance, manner of conduct throughout the year, the outfit and appearances today, and the speech they made... the first runner-up is..."

The crowd grew tense and quiet; no one was sure who would take that position, not even I.

Liara conducted herself well for the best part of the academic session until after the exams, when she bonded with Jackson.

Allison, on the other hand, conducted herself well until she had that brief friendship with Tricia and Alexa, but she realized it in ti.

Liara had the power to influence the outco of a royalty test since she was born into royalty.

Her dresses and her poise already scream royalty, although her recent manners don’t.

"Princess Liara," the host announced.

Liara looked confused; she wasn’t expecting either Alexa or Allison to be better than she was.

Alexa wore a broad smile as she tapped Liara reassuringly, and Liara stepped out.

There was a round of applause, followed by so disappointed shouts.

I an, if I didn’t know better, I would also shout, because Liara looked deserving of prom queen.

"Princess Liara scored 4.5 points. Her outfit was the best, and it matched her confident posture.

Her exhibit and speech tonight were perfect, although not the best. But her conduct was flawed; she engaged in activities that could be considered harmful to her fellow students.

But she conducted herself well for most of the year until she was caught up bullying a student and attending a forbidden party outside the school."

There was a deafening silence as everyone’s anticipation grew.

"The winner of tonight’s contest, and our prom queen, is..."

She paused to take a breath, and the anxiety in the room grew. There were whispers, but no one guessed who would be the winner.

"Our prom queen is Allison..."

Before she could finish, I jumped up from my seat. I’m guessing the drink from earlier made lighter.

Screams echoed throughout the hall. Allison had so many fans, and I knew that, probably because she was Aven’s twin sister.

Alexa hung her head, disappointed. Allison was wearing a bold smile, and for the first ti, as she had always longed, the world seed to revolve around her.

She stepped out, as flowers and tinsel and garlands fell from the ceiling.

"She delivered the most outstanding speech, her outfits were second best, and her manner of conduct, although not perfect, was the best amongst the contestants. She avoided involving herself in hideous acts, and she had an outstanding academic performance, too," the host announced.

She was smiling from ear to ear as she turned to her left to look at Khalil, who winked at her.

"The first runner-up, Princess Liara, becos our hocoming queen," the host announced. "While the winner of the contest, Allison, becos the prom queen."

Cheers and laughter filled the air. Liara’s face bead with a smile upon hearing that she was the hocoming queen.

I did not doubt that she might have played dirty with them to have sothing to go ho with, but she deserves it anyway.

"That’s so cool, that way there would be no clash. Because I was expecting another round of drama after this event," Macy whispered.

"This doesn’t guarantee less drama, you know," I said, pointing at Alexa.

Macy burst into uncontrollable laughter.

Alexa’s face looked like she had faeces dumped on her. "She looks betrayed. Her face says everything," Macy laughed, clutching her stomach.

"Well, take it easy," I answered, chuckling.

"Now, over to the males. After careful assessnt..."

"It would be so beautiful if Khalil beca prom king too," Macy whispered.

"I don’t think anyone matches his aura there. They are assessed with their engagent in extra-curricular activities, their speech, and their academic performance, unlike the ladies who are judged by their outfits. And Khalil ticks all the boxes," I assured.

"Well, their outfits are also considered too, I heard the host say so. But you are right, no one matches Khalil amongst the contestants, not even Lake, one of the Titan brothers," Macy concurred.

"And the winner of the male category and our prom king is Khalil," the host announced.

Macy jumped up. "I told you so," I shouted.

"I didn’t hear her call the first runner-up," I muttered to myself.

"I think the first runner-up is Lake," Macy replied. I adjusted to see that Lake had stepped ahead, making him the first runner-up.

"Lake becos the hocoming king," the host announced, and there was a loud squeal, cheers and laughter.

The music burst from the speakers, almost deafening for a few seconds.

After the host finished, she walked down the stage, and just then, Alexa stepped forward to congratulate Liara, ignoring Allison.
