Andria’s POV
l and I exchanged hard gazes at each other for a mont, then she looked away
"Aw, soone would be missing prom night. That’s so sad, I’ll really feel pity for her," Becca mocked.
"It’s ok, Becca. Sothing isn’t really adding up.
Why will l insist that Alexa and Tricia co to the extent she allows you to take the role of ga master?
And why would she be so close to Tricia, when Tricia decided to report us?
Why is Tricia so free with l if she knew l was my friend?" I wondered, turning to Becca.
"Maybe because they must have known that l isn’t your friend," Allison chipped in.
"Otherwise, they can’t be so free discussing her friends in front of her, and she chose to keep quiet and exclude herself instead.
It’s either she’s a coward, which I have no doubt that she is, or a mischievous pretender."
"Aria and Becca, you are free to go back to your dorms after this eting. Be careful not to organize any gatherings like this again," the headmistress scolded.
"Yes, ma," Becca and I answered in unison before going to take a seat.
"Over to you, Allison," Sir Kaelric said. "You fell into a trap set for another; you should have chosen your reaction carefully.
But anyway, your actions have been excused as an act of defense, since you weren’t attacking in any way. Am I correct, witnesses?"
"Yes, Sir. Alexa was just being overly aggressive that night ..."
"Tricia and Alexa were picking on almost every student that night..."
"We tried to stop Alexa, but she wouldn’t stop advancing towards Allison..."
The students echoed, causing the council room to get noisy and heated.
"Enough, I heard you all loud and clear, but this is a council room. My question demanded a yes or no; therefore, if you have sothing to say, you raise your hands."
"Yes, Sir," they chorused.
Then a student in the crowd raised her hand. She had silver hair, her face was also pale, I hadn’t seen that face before, and I never noticed her at the ga night either.
She stood and winked at in a way only I could notice before she started. "Alexa stood up when the ga just got interesting, and started cursing Aria just because she wanted to dance on one of Aria’s mates, and Becca refused.
When Aria wasn’t reacting to any of her curses, she turned to Allison, who responded. Allison kept quiet, but Alexa kept approaching.
We called her out at every corner, including the ga master, Becca, but she wouldn’t give us a listening ear.
Soon, she was throwing punches at Allison, which Allison dodged. It angered her the more, and she started growling, almost letting her wolf co out. It was getting serious between them and...."
"I’ve gotten exactly what I wanted. Alexa was the offender, Allison was just a defender," Sir Kaelric interrupted her narration.
She nodded and sat down again.
"Alexa would be punished after she recovers. And since she would be participating in the prom, she wouldn’t go ho as she was supposed to.
But she will join the gardeners in mowing the lawn every morning for three days," the Luna said.
Becca chuckled beside , covering her mouth so that she wouldn’t be caught.
"Allison, you are dismissed," she turns to the rest of us. "You are all dismissed. You can return to whatever you are doing, all of you except Tricia and l, their punishnts start now."
Becca couldn’t hide her excitent. We walked together out of the office and back to the dormitory.
"Today has been such a day. It’s so good to be back to sowhere more comfortable," Becca said, slumping into the sofa.
"It’s really been a day. I don’t think I have the energy for anything else today," I replied.
"I’m so hungry," Becca complained.
"Of course you should. Besides, you don’t joke with food," I teased.
"Who told you that?" She asked, raising her nose and mouth in uniform, slightly at .
"You have been complaining so much about food. Could it be that..."
"Don’t go there, Ari. Arlo and I haven’t been intimate for so weeks now," Becca said.
"What happened?" I asked, watching her face shift slightly into a sad look. "Is everything ok between you and Arlo?"
"No, Ari. Since I moved out of my forr apartnt into this one, I haven’t been able to see Arlo as frequently as before. We had a fallout two weeks ago. Since then, he has been avoiding ," Becca narrated.
"Why didn’t you say anything?" I asked, sothing I couldn’t explain welling up inside like the build up of anger and pity.
"I didn’t want to ruin the beautiful atmosphere. Besides, how do I say that Arlo has been acting up since I packed into your apartnt?" Becca explained.
I understand her. It’s an issue between her and her mate; she can resolve it herself. There wasn’t any need to interfere. I trusted Arlo to be mature, but he could be going through sothing I don’t know.
"Maybe it’s best you give him so space. But check in on him once in a while, too," I added.
She nodded, with relief flooding her face. She was tense, probably thinking that I would probe her further, but I didn’t, and that gave her relief.
"By the way, I overheard one of the students say that new students who would be coming to our school by next session would be coming for an interview next week," Becca announced.
"How did you stumble across such news? Your ears are truly on the ground," I teased.
"It isn’t intentional. I was just crossing a group of junior students, and they were discussing it. Excitent filled their faces that they would beco seniors to the new intakes, so..."
"I see," I said, nodding my head. "When is that again?"
"Next week, not sure about the day," she replied.
"Ok, then, there’s no big deal," I replied.
"You don’t have any junior ones that would love to attend our academy?"
Becca’s question took by surprise. Even after hearing that discovery at the ga night.
But my mind travelled back to the Falcons. Lena was just a year behind at school and could be among the new intending students coming for an interview.
I doubted that she could recognize . But I was curious to know who she must have turned out to be in the absence of Andria, who was almost her slave.
"No, I don’t know any of my siblings who are still my age, the Wolfsburn..."
"Enough of the Wolfsburn tale. It’s quite confusing, the kind of family you ca from. Why would an Alpha choose to silence his female offspring, but allow his sons to marry females?" She asked.
"It doesn’t matter to . At last, even his castaway females end up having their mates and children. At last, the Wolfsburn na wouldn’t even matter to them," I responded.
My mind flashed back to the student with silver hair, who had winked at earlier while getting up to give her testimony.
"Did you notice that strange face that gave that accurate testimony? I doubt she was even at the ga night," I asked Becca.
"Oh, I saw her. But that’s Freda. She acts like a shadow and is hardly recognized except when he wants to be. Her identity is in question just like yours," Becca answers.
"What do you an, just like mine?" I asked, almost revealing irritation.
"I didn’t an to sound off," Becca said, breaking into laughter as she looked at my face. "But that’s true...I think I’ve forgotten her na. You should find out if you are so curious about her."
"You are so silly," I replied to her, twitching my lips into a lazy smirk, and heading to my room.
I needed to know who that strange face was. She looked at precisely with recognition and familiarity as if she had known before.
"You could at least say goodnight," Becca called out to .
"Why should I? It’s not night yet," I replied to her, rolling my eyes. I knew she was being sarcastic and teasing about my sleep rate.
"No, Ari, once you get in there now, the next ti I would be seeing you is tomorrow," she argued.
"Whatever, Becca, you won. Goodnight," I replied, and she let out a breathy chuckle.
"Goodnight, Ari."
I hissed excitedly, walked into my room and shut it behind . A shower would undo the stress of today.
Detention, the council room, Freda, the new students’ interview, and a chance of Lena popping into Ashwood by next week weighed on my mind. But a shower would take it all off.
I whistled into the shower, turning it on and letting the water cascade down my body. Slowly, my nerves began to relax.
The more relaxed it felt with the caress of the gentle flow of the water, the more my mind wandered to the Alpha successors and Sir Kaelric.
And just as my mind wandered, it was as if they appeared in the shower with .
"I know you want us, little wolf. You greedy mate," Damon whispered from behind, causing to jolt and turn to him, his eyes raw with desire.
