Andria’s POV

Everywhere beca silent, all at once. Every head swept towards the direction of the door. And there they were.

Aven, Damon and Tristan.

I could sense the tension in the room; a mix of satisfaction and surprise.

"Wow, so they finally showed up," l muttered under her breath.

I rolled my eyes at her. Alexa gave a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, while Tricia tried to hide her disappointnt.

"Well, at least they ca," Tricia murmured.

Their overpowering scents were all over the room, dwarfing every other wolf present at the ga night.

Behind them walked Alpha Khalil of Westbrook, calm and intimidating in an almost equal asure, and beside him was his mate Allison.

l’s jaw dropped. "Khalil ca?"

Becca gasped. "I’m as shocked as you are, too. Didn’t know that the cold Alpha of the west would co."

"Well, you can trust the power of a mate-bond. Allison must have worked her charm," I interjected.

Alexa froze mid-scoff. Tricia’s smirk died so fast it might as well have been murdered.

The Alpha successors didn’t smile as they entered. I wondered if they were here for the gas or to scare everyone out.

Well, this kind of set-up is well below their standards, and they are only here because I insisted they co.

They walked straight in with an air that made every wolf subconsciously straighten their spine and inhale.

Aven’s eyes found mine instantly, Damon’s eyes followed, and then Tristan’s.

Their gaze felt like a quiet communication, a warning that their coming should be worth it.

My heart thudded painfully against my ribs.

But there was a little bit of satisfaction that they ca, at least Alexa and Tricia don’t get to spread the news or gloat about the Alpha successors ditching my ga night.

It seems that any event organised by any student without the Alpha successors present is considered a below-standard event.

Since they were already here and Becca was beaming...The night can finally begin.

"Alright, starting from where I left off, before I was interrupted. As we can see, the Alpha successors are here, and I welco everyone to this ga night, especially brought to you by Aria, l and . Let’s clap to that," Becca announced.

Everywhere, cheers, laughter, and claps echoed.

I could tell everyone was excited to be in this event. The school has been on fire, and at the sa ti, boring. So a ga night was actually the best thing now, provided it’s safe.

"So before we get started, everyone is mandated to take a shot from this bottle," Becca continued, raising a shot cup and a bottle of whiskey.

"That’s not enough to make us high," one of the students scoffed beside .

"The idea isn’t to make you tipsy at the beginning of a ga night, but to get you prepared for what is to co," I whispered back to him, getting up from where I was seated and heading to where Becca stood.

I tapped her as soon as I got closer. ’It will be much better if we sat circularly, so that sohow you can access their faces, and for the sake of the ’spin the bottle’ ga," I whispered.

She turned and whispered back, "We could take the spin-the-bottle ga twice, since we are too many, or we can split. l can handle the other group, while I handle another group," she suggested.

"So how do you propose we do the splitting?"I asked in a low tone.

We put the group nas, ’A and B’, on pieces of paper, scrumble them, then pass them around for them to choose. Any letter you select is the group you belong to," l suggested.

My dream flashed back, and I shook my head. "I think if we do so readjusting, we wouldn’t need two groups. The living room is wide enough; besides, it wouldn’t be as fun with two groups. Maybe we could split groups in another ga," I suggested.

She shrugged, accepting my suggestion, and then turned back to everyone.

"I think it will be much nicer if we sit in a wide circle," she announced.

The shuffling began imdiately; everyone dragged their chairs, so cushions, anything that could form a perfect circle. I was surprised by how they cooperated, because Ashwood students had never cooperated, at least since I got to know them.

It took a few minutes, filled with murmurs and excited whispers, but finally, everyone settled into place.

I took my seat between Becca and a space, a space that didn’t stay empty for long, because Aven dropped into it.

He smirked at , rubbing his thighs like an excited teenager. I didn’t like the feel of him right beside at this mont, but I didn’t hate it either.

My pulse stumbled.

Tristan took the seat directly across from us, his eyes locking with mine the mont he sat, while Damon leaned against the wall right behind . And at that mont, I knew the night was going to be a long night.

l’s eyes flicked between them and with unusual sharpness; she didn’t look pleased, but she didn’t look displeased either. She seed weirdly bored.

"Okay, now that we’re all settled, everyone, take your shots!" Becca announced, raising hers.

We all lifted our little shot cups. A chorus of glass clicking filled the room, followed by a collective hiss as the whiskey burned down throats.

"Shit... that is strong, stronger than I thought," soone wheezed.

"It’s ant to be," Becca smiled.

But l wasn’t smiling. She was watching with strange curiosity. At so point, I raised an eyebrow at her, and she looked away for a mont, but her gaze returned shortly after.

Her jaw tightened when Aven placed his arm casually behind my chair, his fingers brushing my hair lightly.

It was weird, but I understand that she has no mate, so it’s normal to react that way.

I felt Damon’s presence behind tilt forward, his breath warm against the back of my neck as he leaned in to whisper, low enough for only to hear.

"Relax, Aria. You are too tense."

My breath snagged in my throat. "Maybe because this is the first apartnt event I’m ever hosting, and I want it to be perfect.

"Nothing can ever be perfect, but you can try. So far it’s been exciting, so you have to relax, relaxation makes it more fun," Aven added.

Across the circle, Tristan smirked when he felt the shift in my heartbeat. I hated how much control they had over my reactions... or how much I secretly welcod it.

Alexa must have noticed the communication, because she rotated her head in a stiff, birdlike motion, her smile frozen.

Tricia dug her nails into her own thigh, glaring at the point where Aven’s fingers brushed my shoulder.

"Becca," l suddenly called, too loudly. "Let’s start the first ga now."

There it was again, her unusual urgency. She still wants to control the

"What’s the rush?" Becca asked, tilting her head. "We haven’t even explained the rules."

"It’s just better if we start imdiately," l insisted, her tone too sharp, too ready.

Becca blinked. "l... you’re acting weird."

"I’m not acting weird."

She definitely was.

I folded my arms, leaning slightly away from Aven’s grazing touch. "l, if you have sothing to say, just say it."

She froze, acting surprised. Her lips parted, but no words ca out.

Everyone watched her.

She eventually forced a chuckle. "Nothing. I just... want us to have fun fast. That’s all. I an, what is the matter with you two? Ti is already far spent."

I didn’t have the ti to pry to find out what skeletons she had in her cupboard, so I chose to ignore.

Becca cleared her throat dramatically. "Right! The first ga for the night is ’Confession Roulette’. I’ll spin this bottle, and whoever it lands on must answer a question honestly. No skipping."

A nervous ripple passed around the circle. Even l was surprised, because she hadn’t registered that there would be such a ga.

Becca spun the bottle. It whirled, glinting under the soft lights, before slowing... slowing... and them...

It pointed at .

Of course. What a great way to begin!.

Alexa clapped slowly. "How fitting."

"Shut up," Damon muttered behind .

Becca grinned wickedly. "Aria... your question is..."

She paused, thinking.

l’s eyes glead mischievously. "Ask her sothing interesting. Like... who she wants."

My eyes narrowed, Tricia’s smirk grew, and Alexa leaned forward in a predatory manner.

Becca gave l a side eye. "I’ll ask my own question, thank you."

Then she faced .

"Aria... what was the last thing you dread about?"

My heart stuttered—my nightmare.

The one involving l urging Tristan to kiss Alexa. No, that wasn’t sothing I was about to voice in front of a partial population of the school.

I cleared my throat. "I doubt that I ever dreamt anything of recent."

"Liar," Aven whispered, brushing my hand lightly.

Damon chuckled behind . "She thinks she can hide her heartbeat from us."

Tristan leaned forward, squinting his eyes at suspiciously.

Alexa’s eyes widened in delight. "Oh, this is going to be good.
