Andria’s POV

Sohow, the lecture was just about . How could I have imagined that I would be referred to as a descendant of a myth?.

I could feel the whole room disappear as I got lost in my thoughts for a while. The laughter of the class called out of my thoughts.

"And now, I have co to the end of my class." Miss Clara announced, and the whole class stood up in unison to leave.

I was exhausted in the morning and hoped to hurry back to the dormitory imdiately after history lessons for a long sleep.

But I think I have changed my mind, I would be heading to the library.

I’ve not been to the library before, but it seed like it had answers to my questions. I walked past the Argent Sentinel, I’ve always wondered why this statue with an offensive aura for vampires stood in the middle of the hallway.

This school must hold a lot of history, and I must uncover it.

The library was very spacious, demarcated into two parts: the e-library and the book library. The air was serene, and I could just keep coming here to escape the chaos in school.

The laptops were arranged in rows and columns in the e-library section, while the books were also placed on shelves in a similar arrangent.

I walked straight to the history book section. I could feel the librarian’s eye on .

I knew that eye; she was silently warning not to disturb her book arrangent. I moved steadily, careful not to disarrange the books after picking the book I wanted.

I searched and searched, and no book seed to be what I was looking for until I ca across The Book of Myths.

’Perfect!’ I turned and bumped into Aven. I caught the book before it got to the floor. Why do I have to bump into him again?

His scent invaded , the sll of wood and smoke, matching his calm deanor.

Who knew that soone like Aven would be found in a library? He doesn’t seem like the reading type.

"Are you usually this clumsy or are you just clumsy to , mate?"

What an arrogant expression. He bumped into , and here he is claiming that I’m clumsy.

"Well, you didn’t see either, or were you blind?" I quickly retorted. I’m not letting him go freely this ti around.

"Oh, let’s see what you have here," he said, snatching my book away from .

"We are in the library for crying out loud, I don’t want to have to drag the book with you, so give it back, we aren’t friends."

Surprisingly, he handed the book back to . And coldly walked to take a seat.

I took a seat far away from where he was seated, but he ca closer a few minutes later.

"You asked about a strange subject during history class today. Where did that co from?" He said, tapping his pen unsteadily on the reading table.

"Well, let’s say I do so research."

He smirked flirtatiously, and that was the first ti I’d seen him act flirtatiously. What must be going on in his mind?.

"You seem very interesting,, He remarked, and looked away imdiately. Who knew the stuck-up Aven had a shy side to him?

"Now I ca to the library to have so alone ti to study for the upcoming test, and here you are distracting ." Imdiately, the words left my mouth, and I hoped it didn’t sound like I was flirting with him.

"Oh, you an by reading the book of myths, it seems like you want to satisfy your curiosity rather than get prepared for your test."

He said the words precisely and in a whisper-like tone, and if it weren’t for the witch’s intervention, my scent would have been all over the place.

"Ok, I think it’s ti for to leave. Enjoy your ti flirting with soone else," I stood up to leave, and he held back. I turned to him, and he wore a concerned look on his face.

I’ve not seen such an expression on his face before. What does he want with that look?. Then he quickly left my hands, as if he had just rembered himself, he readjusted himself and turned his face.

I walked to the Librarian and asked if I could keep the book and return it later.

Her expression was so unfriendly, so I wasn’t disappointed with her reply. "No, I can’t." The answer was so brief, and I wondered if I had offended her before; maybe I couldn’t take account.

"Let her keep the book on my account," Aven spoke from behind , and as if she were hypnotized, she smiled from ear to ear and then handed the book over to .

"Well, you can keep the book, I’ll co back for it, since the book is not lent on my account." I won’t let the cocky bastard take credit again for helping out.

I could see the shocked expression on his face, and I felt a sense of satisfaction before leaving the library.

And since I had not achieved what I wanted to in the library, and lunch ti was over, I just had to retire back to the dormitory on an empty stomach.

The walk to my apartnt was a long, tiring one; my stomach growled loudly, and I felt like I might pass out.

I managed to make it to my dormitory. I walked fast to my room, thank goodness l and Larissa weren’t in the living room.

I passed out on my bed.

*******

I woke up with an intense craving for blood. The monster in has returned, and I can’t let l, Larissa or anyone see in this condition.

I looked through my window, and it was dark already; the crescent moon was in the sky, and no wonder it triggered my vampire side.

I was expecting this soon because it has been a long ti since I last fed. I glided my window and ran off into the woods in search of a stray.
