Tristan’s POV

She walked into the classroom, looking all brand new. She must be the new admit. She looked pretty and weird.

She walked to the chair beside and sat down.

"New here, huh?" I asked. I wasn’t looking directly at her, although I could see all her movents, but her reply threw off balance.

"Are you referring to ?" That question seed more like a rhetorical question. Why is she so cranky?

"Who else is new here?" I retorted. Who does she think she is? Does she know who I am around here, anyway? She’s new here; what did I expect?

She looked agitated. Maybe she was transferring aggression, but I didn’t care.

It was Professor Garrich, the economics teacher. This is my best subject, perhaps because my dad is the Alpha in charge of trades, so I should have a flair for the subject.

Watching my dad negotiate with foreign investors has taught a great deal about strategy. However, economics as a subject is easier to study than to practice.

"All right, everyone, listen up. We have a new student here, and I would like her to introduce herself." He crossed his hands and walked to the side, allowing the new girl to introduce herself.

Although we didn’t need the introduction since our nas were already on the table.

She stepped out to the middle of the class, exuding an elegant confidence.

"My na is Aria Wolfsburn," she casually introduced herself.

"What sort of ridiculous na is that?" Tracy, leader of the notorious bully squad, interfered. I didn’t like Aria that much, but I hated Tracy and her team more; they were so attention-seeking to my distaste.

"You an as distasteful as yours?" Aria retorted. That was the most hilarious coback I’ve heard. She is the first to stand up to her. I’m beginning to like her feisty.

"Enough! Aria, see after class," Prof Garrich snapped at her. I could see the triumphant look on the bully squad’s face.

But Aria doesn’t seem like one to back down because she glared back at them.

Professor Garrich continued his class. His topic was demand and supply, and I listened attentively. It was one topic I always anticipated.

Taking a glance at my side, where she was seated, I noticed she had tuned out of the lecture. How can she just tune out on her first class? I wouldn’t bla her; she must have had enough, but she is lucky she wasn’t getting a detention.

Soon, the class was over. I watched her pack her things to leave before Professor Garrich called out to her to remind her of their proposed eting.

It was ti for lunch. I didn’t want to go to the general cafeteria, but sohow I wanted to see faces other than the other alpha successors of the stronghold.

I noticed earlier in class Damon swapped chairs with the person close to Aria. I wonder what he wants from her that he had to co close to her.

I knew Damon loved to tease newbies, but I guess this one is going to be a hard newbie to crack.

I t up with the other Aven and Damon, and I had to convince them to eat at the general cafeteria instead of the cafeteria for royalties.

Walking into a noisy cafeteria, I wondered at the reason for the jeers, cheers, and boos, only to behold Aria squatting over Tracy, who was lying helplessly on the floor.

"I guess we missed the show." I glanced over to Aven and Damon. Aven seed uninterested, but the look on Damon’s face was priceless, a mixture of admiration and sothing sinister.

With the look on Aria’s face in class and the class today, I knew that a fight would happen. Tracy wasn’t one to back out of bullying. Well, she t her type.

"Then we might just leave," Aven replied dryly, always uptight. I was already tired. Maybe I needed rest more than food for now.

Next day

I didn’t want to go for the duel class, but Aven and Damon were going, so I may as well just go.

Aven and Damon were my flatmates, and of course, we lived in the royalties’ residential area, away from the noisy others.

The air was warm, and the duel had already started; in fact, a set had fought already.

That was when I felt it.

The energy in the hall shifted the mont we stepped in. It was a pull. A magnetic and magical pull. It felt like sothing clicked within .

My wolf, Trevor, leaped out of excitent.

’Our mate,’ Trevor growled within , almost causing to shudder. I admired Aria, but I never thought I would have to mate with her.

But it wasn’t just . I noticed Damon froze beside . His steps faltered, like he’d hit an invisible wall. He stared ahead, and I followed his gaze.

Aria?. Could we both be mated to one person?

She was walking to her seat at the middle row when she suddenly stopped and then turned towards our direction. Sothing about her looked unsettled. Maybe she felt it too. Her hand touched her chest for a mont, like sothing inside her stirred uncontrollably.

I always thought that I would be mated to an Alpha female with a royal bloodline, not her, not even if she seed strong.

I turned to Aven.

His jaw clenched, his eyes darkened. "You...", he uttered his fingers twitched as if resisting a sudden instinct.

Then it hit harder. Sothing within hated the thought of sharing my mate. The way they looked at her, like they wanted to eat her up, made Trevor very restless.

Trevor howled inside, the sound echoing in my head. "She’s ours and should be ours alone"

I felt it in every part of . That tug. That connection.

"This can’t be happening and not with you", I uttered, but I regretted the words as soon as it ca out.

"Not like I wanted this either", she snapped back at before taking a seat in front of us.

Damon chuckled, on hearing her coback, then murmured, "Hmm, mate".

I could feel Trevor getting fueled up.

She stirred in her seat, and I could sll her. She slled like peach. What a rare scent. It engulfed my entire being, making a little bit dizzy.

And then her eyes t mine, and she turned them back so quickly.

Then she stood up, suddenly dashed out of the hall.

"What’s she doing?" Damon muttered, confused.

"Where is she going?" I asked.

Aven didn’t say a word, but I knew he was wondering the sa.

"Where to? Miss Wolfsburn" Instructor Kristan called out to her, but she didn’t stop walking.

"Won’s matters," she replied hurriedly, and just like that, she disappeared out of the class and down the hallway.
