?Everyone stared at the thing I took out without blinking, their faces filled with surprise and confusion.
"Isn't that a God-leve essence crystal?"
Fatima asked, pointing at the shining stone held in my hand.
"Don't tell ..."
"Right. I plan to let everyone take a god-level essence crystal to evolve one stage up!"
"Don't, Master! You'll suffer extre energy overload! Your body might even explode with that much energy entering!"
Ember quickly rejected my plan, standing up and slamming her palms on the table. Her reaction was obvious, though, since having an energy overload is technically deadly, even though I've beco a lot tougher than before.
"But Ember, you must be forgetting, but I have my Flas of Evolution and Flas of Regression."
"...!"
She opened her eyes wide, hearing my explanation. Right, if I use the combination flas to absorb part of the energy, then it shouldn't end up with an energy overload. The only problem would be how long it would take.
I checked my karma, and as expected, even now, their values remain low. Especially the bad karma one. I haven't been doing many "bad" things lately, after all. The only ti I managed to increase it by quite an amount was when I killed a lot of the tars from the Empire.
Still, with this much, I should be able to absorb a large majority of the feedback energy before it runs out.
"So, there's supposedly no risk to this plan at all."
Ember quieted down. She seed to still want to object, but after hearing my counterasure, she couldn't think of any words to dissuade .
"But Leader, even if you can stop your body from bursting into pieces, you still will be in extre pain..."
"Right, My Lord. There's no need to risk your own life. We can just use proper amounts of Essence Crystals without using god-level ones."
Even Fang and Igni were getting worried. However, there's a reason why I am telling them to use the God-Essence Crystals.
"Sir Will, are you planning to... strengthen yourself to the limit?"
Hekate asked, breaking her usual silence. As expected, she noticed my aim.
"That's my plan. If it goes well, then I would only need you girls to level up once each. In short, the burden you all would suffer should be smaller."
If I could get stronger without risking my life at all, then I would probably take that path without hesitation. However, now that we have an unpredictable Void Beast on the loose, there's no ti to dally.
Ti is of the essence, and we need to get as powerful as we can in the shortest ti possible to have a fighting chance against it.
As we are now, there's no way we can break its Void-Powered defenses. We also can't poison it like before, after all, so we're technically fighting a Void Beast in its pri. No matter how I think about it, there's no way we could win using normal ans.
"Master..."
Ember's eyes flickered with worry, but she didn't try to stop anymore, sitting back down. After seeing that nobody else had an objection, I nodded my head with a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not planning to die anyti soon. And getting more powerful is a matter of sooner or later anyway."
After that, we discussed the preparations and the estimated ti we had left before the enemy moved. From our guess, we still have at least half a day, or roughly until tomorrow noon, before the Void Beast moves. It wasn't a sure thing, but that's the soonest it should move based on our observations.
"But Sir Will, half a day is barely enough to finish stabilizing your energy if we go with this plan. Given your mastery of energy control and the total amount of excess energy, at the earliest, we would be needing ten days."
"..."
We don't have enough ti.
After thinking for a while, I recalled the training room that Yu Na manages that she once ntioned. The room was said to have a function to speed up ti inside it! If we use the excess God-
level essence crystals to power it up, we should be able to achieve up to 50 tis the normal speed!
Unless there's an upper limit to the speed, of course.
Without delay, I quickly went to where Yu Na was, back in the castle, and asked her about the room's occupancy.
"The Ti Accelerated Room? Nobody is using it right now, given the current situation we're in."
And fortunately, it was vacant.
After that, I gave her a brief explanation of my plan and asked her to let use the room. She didn't hesitate to approve my request, knowing what the purpose was.
"But the room's consumption of energy is more than the pocket-dinsion room that you once borrowed. The amount of energy used for your one-week stay before would be equivalent to about an hour inside there."
That's... extravagant.
And that's only with the default 10 tis speed inside. Given that we'd need a few weeks to complete the plan given only half a day's leeway, we would need at least 60 tis the normal speed.
"Just to confirm, but can I use God-level essence crystals as a power source?"
"Yes, of course. Let's see... an average god-level essence crystal should last you a full day inside on the default speed."
That's great! Currently, I have almost a thousand of them on hand, since we were looting all the essence crystals that Azrael left behind. With that, we can probably increase the speed a hundred tis and ensure that we're not late for the battle!
"A hundred? Then the consumption would be... a thousand tis more."
"..."
Increasing the default speed by 10 tis needs 1,000 tis more essence crystals! An exponential increase in consumption! Although we have enough for half a day's worth, we can't be sure that we'll finish on ti, so it seems like I'd need to waste my entire stock, leaving only enough for the girls to use.
"... Alright."
I finally nodded my head, no longer hesitating.
"Guide us to the ti-accelerated room."
