358 New Laws, New Departnts
"Alright, now that we're all gathered here, the first thing we should handle as a single entity is the legislative side."
Now that we have removed the nobility system, the current laws would need a lot of andnts. How long that would take, even I have no idea. However, it's a fact that it will never end if we don't work on it.
The laws from the previous system were... How do I put it? Nobility-centered? It was as if the peasants weren't even treated like humans, as all laws gave more consideration to nobles than commoners.
For example, when a noble condemns a commoner for a cri, then the one condemned would be deed guilty imdiately. No such thing as a council or a fair judicial process would start.
"And so, we would start anding the laws starting from that."
*BAM!*
I placed the thick book of laws of the previous kingdom before us in the middle of the long rectangular table.
"I'm already warning you, but we'll not stop until we finish all of this. Yu Na, make sure to keep the minutes of the eting. Max, take charge of encoding the anded laws."
With that as the opening, our long and arduous fight with pen and paper began.

The entire process that the new president, Will, and his other officials were doing ended up taking over a week. Food and water were delivered to them by their respective tad monsters, and the only breaks they had would be health breaks in between each law.
During that ti, Ember continued providing a steady supply of a total of 900 guns to the designated rchant organizations and giving them the designated amount of bullets they ordered.
For the bullet manufacturing, Will wasn't able to leave his post, so he told Fatima to relay his orders to the succubus tars.
The girls didn't object and worked almost imdiately, filling the bullets with energy as required.
The current bullet cases were a sort of hybrid, with an outer layer of normal copper and an inner layer of cursed ore. With that, not only would there be no energy leakage, but the bullets would be even easier to handle. Furthermore, they would end up saving half of the cursed ores, doubling the quantity of bullets they could prepare with the materials they had.
Will predicted that the succubus girls would manage to make hundreds of thousands of bullets a day, but his estimate was broken in a good way. On average, they could prepare over 1.5 million shells a day, enough to supply the bullet orders with so left over.
While Will was anding the laws, he also started to create new departnts to handle things. The first two departnts they created were the Departnt of Foreign Affairs and the Departnt of Counterintelligence and Security.
With those two in place, Will would be able to initiate his foreign "economic and militaristic invasion" plan without worrying. Of course, they first needed to complete the refurbished book of law before he could start the plan, so he pushed everyone to work even harder.
The week passed, and finally, their team managed to escape the law-creation hell. Everyone's faces were filled with fatigue, unable to get proper sleep for seven days straight. However, the joy after they were released made them feel like they were on cloud nine!
Will was tired, but he only managed to get three hours of sleep before he needed to return to his office. His face wasn't filled with discontent, however, but rather covered in a mischievous expression.
"Then, let's start the plan!"
A week has already passed since the sale of the gun started. So countries were curious enough to procure guns from those who bought them and try to break them apart to study and copy their structure.
However, due to Ember and Fatima's "tinkering," the guns would completely break upon dismantling them. With the number of internal parts that look crazy hard to imitate and hard to guess the purpose, copying the gun itself beca near impossible.
Still, so kingdoms managed to create a copy, more like downgraded it, and only got the basic idea from the gun itself. Still, even though they're using the sa bullet, the power upon impact is vastly different.
It's like they discovered how to make muskets by seeing a modern sniper rifle!
"Gunsmithing isn't as easy as it seems!"
With that, when Will opened up international trade, a lot of orders imdiately ca to the Departnt of Foreign Affairs. After they approved the requests, the Departnt of Trade would then handle the orders before sending the packages through the rchants that Millinda, Killab, and Genpo, the three rchants selling the guns locally, chose.
The entire governnt was slowly working up their purposes, getting busier as days passed. The newly ford departnts were filled as soon as they were founded—the mbers were assigned through a nomination-based election.
With the pipelines for creating the guns and bullets in place, nothing is stopping Will and the others anymore.
Every single day, Ember would sell a few thousand guns. Along with it, millions of bullets. Billions of profit ca in like flowing water, making Will feel relieved that the kingdom's pockets were getting slightly deeper.
With ample funding available, they could also begin handling the things that were delayed due to a lack of funds. To be specific, the rewards for those who participated in defending the kingdom and the bereaved families of those who gave up their lives protecting the kingdom.
Just like that, a full month passed since Will was elected King.
The busy days were starting to beco calr, but his sleeping ti was still under four hours daily. The country still had a lot of things that needed fixing, so Will's job was just beginning!
A certain morning, when the breeze was getting cold, hinting at the coming winter. Will stood up, facing his girls, and spoke with a clear voice.
"Everything's starting to stabilize. I guess it's now ti for that."
Ember and Fatima looked at each other, seemingly guessing what he was planning.
"Do you an you're finally building [that]?"
Will nodded, his face turning serious.
"Yes. I think it's ti to introduce science and technology to this world!"
