Namia looked at my face with a slightly amused expression.

"Well, since you survived this long with your karma that low, maybe... Just maybe..."

After hinting at sothing, she shook her head before returning to her usual frown.

"Anyway, I'll stay in this building for now, up until the faux contract ends at least. Before then, I hope you don't bother too much."

"Wait, can't you tell sothing about this girl you kept on ntioning?"

I heard that it may lead to instant death, but there should be sothing I can learn about her. Hearing my question, Namia glared at one last ti before letting off a sigh.

"You... You know the Taming system, right? You use it after all."

"Hm? Yes, of course."

"That girl... She's the one managing it."

"...!"

So my guess was true! I did think she was related to the taming system after she talked to regarding Namia.

"Then, the reason that I can initiate a faux contract is..."

"Yes. It's because she let you."

Although I'm thankful for the ability to ta a monster, albeit temporarily, without any repercussions, I pondered about it for a bit.

"... But why did she let , so unknown newbie tar, access this Faux Contract thing?"

Namia then shrugged her shoulders, refusing to answer.

"Ask her when you see her yourself."

Namia started walking towards the door, but as she was about to open it, she stopped and looked back.

"Right... I don't know if I should, but let leave one thing to you. [The True Enemy is Behind Us]. That's all."

"Wait! What do you an by that?!"

Her words, although slightly different, matched what Goddess Alpha ntioned to earlier. I thought it was referring to how the God-level Demon shark appeared behind us, but it seems like I was wrong. Was it pointing to a further future?

"Don't ask ; think about it yourself."

Namia ignored my shout and walked away. After she left, I was staring at the door blankly, not sure what to do. Soon, soone entered through the door again, making snap back to reality.

"Master?"

Ember, who was carrying a tall pile of papers, tilted her head as she stared at my face. I quickly shook my head after she placed the files on top of my table, muttering, "No, it's nothing."

Fang, who was listening by the side the entire ti, seed to be thinking about sothing. Although I felt bad interrupting her train of thought, now that the requested docunts are here, I need to work.

I pulled Fang out of the chair and sat down instead. Then, without waiting for another distraction, I started working on the mountain of papers before .I think you should take a look at

I was technically leaving everything to Guren before, after all. Right now, I need so ti to get out of the hustle and bustle of battles. I need so R&R! Although treating work as R&R may sound weird, it would at least keep away from conflict.

Without any ti lag, I quickly managed to change into my work mode. I guess the few weeks of hard training by Guren are now ingrained in .

The docunts were pretty varied, from simple requests to use the training grounds to reports on so conflicts. The reports were quick to process; after all, I just needed to read them. The requests were a bit of a pain, though, since I must check availability, schedules, and such things. Luckily, Ember and Fang were helping a little; otherwise, it would take days just to process all of these.

As the others ca in one after another, the clear desk (with slight singe marks) quickly turned into a complete mountain range of papers. It was to the point that I could no longer even see who was coming in from the door. Even the floor around the table was turned into a pile of docunts. Honestly, it's hard to even move out of my seat right now.

From that mont on, I spent hours working on one docunt at a ti. Then, after a while, I took a break and ate food (brunch or dinner) before returning to work again.

This vicious cycle repeated itself for almost a week until I heard the news that Namia left without saying a word. Well, her Faux contract did end after all. I just hope that she doesn't cause any trouble anymore... Wait, who would stop her if she did?

Was it a bad idea to leave her alone...? Well, even if I did assign soone to watch over her, with her powers above god-level, she could easily escape their surveillance. Unless there was a god-tar watching over her, nobody could actually stop her. Anyway, if she was planning anything nefarious, then Goddess Alpha would warn Zeshion, who would warn the rest of us in advance.

For the past week, other than working on docunts, I have also been slowly preparing for the audience I was invited to at the Royal Palace. It was slated for a week later, which gives a little more ti to myself.

I better finish all these papers before then.

In a dark space, a figure suddenly appeared from within a dark-red portal. The figure was small, like a child, but exuded enough presence to bend the space around her.

"Hey, *#%$, are you sure about the guy you picked?"

The figure, Namia, muttered to the space before her, where nothing was supposed to be. Despite nothing moving or changing—not even a single word could be heard—Namia nodded to herself as if she were talking to soone.

"I know. I watched him for a week. And other than being outside the lines of destiny, he's nothing much."

Again, after she spoke, she was silent for a while before continuing.

"So you an this is your last chance? And that's why you wanted to gamble on soone you don't even know where he cos from?"

"..."

"Another world? Such a thing existed?"

"..."

"Alright, alright. I won't."

"..."

"Why would I help so brat like that? You know how I—"

"..."

"... F*ck... Alright, you win."

Without even seeing the other party, Namia turned around and opened another portal before leaving the black space behind. Even after she left, there were still no movents. It was as if nobody even existed there in the first place.
