Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Tonight, Qiao Xi is in for it

Jin Kai squinted his eyes and opened the na list, reading out one na after another.

“Zhou Anbang, Hu Yuanshang…”

It was as if these were nas on King Yan’s book of life and death; everyone whose na was called trembled in fear, breaking out in cold sweats. By their side stood the powerfully built driver, Old Chen, ready to make a move at any mont.

After a short while, the spacious banquet hall was left with only a dozen people.

The atmosphere beca tense.

Jin Kai closed the list, a chubby face filled with smiles as he said, “President Huo, they’re all here.”

...

“Hmm.”

Huo Xingzhou’s gaze swept to a corner and he said, “Sun Weing, co over and identify them.”

Clutching his fists, Sun Weing’s eyes reddened and moistened with excitent, “Yes! Huo Xingzhou, I knew you wouldn’t forget your brothers!”

His hand was still bandaged, and with a swollen nose and tear-streaked face, he alternated between crying and laughing, looking quite wretched.

“Are these the people who beat you up?”

Huo Xingzhou asked.

Sun Weing nodded repeatedly, “Mhm! Everyone is here except for He the Shorty.”

“Handle it yourself,” Huo Xingzhou said with a heavy tone. “Jin Kai, watch over him.”

“Thank you, Huo Xingzhou! I will never say again that you have issues in that area. It was my thinking that was flawed!” Sun Weing admired Huo Xingzhou to the point of confusion, and he wanted to work like an ox and horse for Huo Xingzhou for the rest of his life.

Huo Xingzhou cast a cold glance at him, then said, “Qiao Xi, let’s go ho.”

“Okay.”

Qiao Xi’s eyes curved happily, in a good mood, “Jiaojiao and mother-in-law have been waiting for a long ti.”

She pushed Huo Xingzhou’s wheelchair and headed out.

Sun Weing watched them leave, then turned his head towards the dozen or so scions with a snort.

“Who would have thought Sun Weing had such a strong backing!”

Sun Weing sneered, “All of you, get down and stick your butts out!”

“Brother Sun! I didn’t hit you, I just brushed against you.”

“Young Master Sun, I know I was wrong.”

They were instigated by Huo Beiting at the ti, and they normally wouldn’t dare to hit Sun Weing. After all, there is safety in numbers, and their families only had a little money.

“Get down!” Sun Weing shouted pretentiously.

They were too angry to speak up and could only humiliate themselves by bending down and sticking out their butts.

Sun Weing stood with his arms akimbo, acting high and mighty, “Let vent this anger, and I’ll let you off.”

He stretched out his foot and kicked each one of them in the butt.

Mrs. Sun stood aside, watching him with a complex expression. A fool’s child has a fool’s luck.

She never could have imagined that everything he said was true, that Huo Xingzhou actually ca, and he even turned the tables against all odds!

Her foolish son had always stood up for Huo Xingzhou, and unexpectedly, Huo Xingzhou was loyal and righteous, making a big deal out of it to avenge him.

It seems that the Sun Family is on the rise.

The night was deep, and the stars twinkled.

Two cars stopped one after another at the door of the Huo Family’s small villa. Qiao Xi and Huo Xingzhou got out of the car first, followed by three other people.

They floated along as if living in a dream.

The family of five arrived in the living room.

Huo Sijiao was the first to speak, “Mom, I want to go to the hospital tomorrow to see an ENT specialist about my ears. These past few days, I’ve been hearing things.”

“How could my brother be the founder of Tianyuan? The super impressive Tianyuan?” She was confused but couldn’t suppress the excitent in her heart.

Du Juan stretched out her hand and pinched her arm hard, “Does it hurt?”

“Ah! It’s killing , it’s real!” Huo Sijiao scread, “My brother is the founder of Tianyuan Group!”

“Stop yelling, you’ll disturb the neighbors.”

Du Juan wasn’t any calr than she was; it’s just that with age, many emotions are held in the heart.

At first, when she received Jiaojiao’s call saying her son was going to make a scene at the old man’s seventieth birthday, she and her husband rushed back, ready to clean up the ss.

But she never expected it to be this kind of “ss.”

“Sister-in-law, tell again, is this for real?” Huo Sijiao asked excitedly, spinning around while holding Qiao Xi’s hands.

Qiao Xi nodded vigorously, “It’s real!”

It was all real!

Du Juan’s eyes reddened as she stood to the side, wiping away tears.

She looked at Huo Xingzhou sitting in the wheelchair, his deanor calm, and said softly, “It must have been tough, right? You kid, you never tell us anything.”

Others saw his glory, but only his family, who adored him, saw the hardships and struggles.

Who knew how much he had sacrificed to achieve what he had today.

Her voice choked up as she bent down to embrace Huo Xingzhou and cried out loud.

Huo Xingzhou gently patted her back, “It’s not tough, I’m fine.”

“Brother is lying!” Huo Sijiao said through sobs.

Qiao Xi looked at his handso face, feeling a lump in her throat and, for so reason, tears started rolling down.

The three won of the family all turned into weeping figures.

Huo Jiancheng was at a loss, his eyes brimming with tears as well.

Aunt Qian, carrying a tray with tea into the living room, had already found out the news and said with a smile, “This is a happy occasion, why the tears?”

“Right, there’s no need to cry!”

Du Juan wiped away her tears, breaking into a smile.

“Nobody cry anymore.” Taking a tissue, she wiped away the tears of Huo Sijiao and Qiao Xi, then suddenly laughed, “Let take this call; my phone hasn’t stopped ringing all night.”

Ladies who usually looked down on her were calling to offer their complints.

Her vanity was intensely satisfied.

Huo Jiancheng’s gaze strangely fell on Huo Xingzhou’s legs; had what he saw earlier been an illusion?

He spoke up, “Everyone is tired tonight; maybe we should head back first. Let Qiao Xi and Xingzhou rest properly.”

“Okay.”

“Jiaojiao.” Seeing that they were about to leave, Qiao Xi said, “I brought back so dicinal wine from the countryside, take so to nourish your bodies.”

Huo Sijiao eagerly said, “Sister-in-law, I know where it is, I’ll get it!”

Soon after, Huo Sijiao ca out of the small villa holding two bottles of dicinal wine and got into the car with her parents.

On the way back.

After handling a flurry of calls, Du Juan rolled down the car window and took a deep breath.

She said, “Coming back this ti from the countryside, I noticed Xingzhou looks much healthier.”

Huo Jiancheng quickly asked, “Did he find the National Doctor Cheng Han?” He had seen his son’s legs move earlier but hadn’t said anything.

He harbored so other notion.

Du Juan turned her head and exchanged a look with him, “Besides Cheng Han, who else do you think has been taking care of him the longest?”

She was almost certain, and after sharing a bed with Huo Jiancheng for so many years, he understood what she ant.

He murmured, “Could it be?”

He dared not think it!

But if his son had silently beco the founder of Tianyuan Group, what else was impossible?

Huo Sijiao couldn’t understand what they were talking about and was simply giggling with the car window down, lost in her wild fantasies.

Du Juan smacked her head, “What happy fantasy are you thinking of now?”

Lowering her voice, Huo Sijiao leaned in and whispered, “My sister-in-law told about tonight… so I took so actions.”

Du Juan’s face darkened, “You brat! Your brother is sterile; how could he do such things!”

Puffing up her cheeks, Huo Sijiao retorted, “Even if it can’t be the real deal, couldn’t I leave so room for soone?”

Du Juan knew whom she was referring to and agreed by default.

Tonight, Qiao Xi was probably going to have a tough ti.
