The air was scorching.
A massive fireball was once again launched, slamming into a nearby tree.
"I hit it! I hit it!"
Uchiha Tetsuka exclaid excitedly.
"..."
Uchiha Shisui remained silent.
He was still fighting against an invisible opponent.
Shisui walked forward, glanced at Hanekawa, and exchanged eye contact for a few seconds before stopping in front of Tetsuka.
Extending his hand, Shisui infused chakra into him, dispelling the genjutsu.
The Hanekawa before him transford into a tree.
The joyful expression on Tetsuka's face froze instantly. He blurted out in disbelief, "What just happened?!"
"Tetsuka-nii, you were caught in a genjutsu," Shisui said seriously.
"Impossible!"
Tetsuka denied it outright.
But after glancing at the scorched tree and then at Hanekawa standing not far away, he appeared deflated monts later.
"I... I'm an Uchiha, yet I lost to a genjutsu," Tetsuka murmured, utterly dejected.
"Tetsuka-nii, it's not your fault," Shisui said, shaking his head to comfort him.
"..."
Tetsuka didn't know what to say.
"Want to keep going?"
At that mont, Hanekawa's voice rang out.
Tetsuka instinctively looked up, but realized Hanekawa wasn't addressing him—he was speaking to Shisui.
This left Tetsuka feeling irritated, though he quickly acknowledged it as fair.
The weak deserved humiliation.
This had always been the Uchiha clan's ideology—they recognized only strength.
"?"
Shisui seed a little surprised.
"I've heard of your na," Hanekawa said with a slight smile.
Shisui was montarily flattered.
After hesitating for a few seconds, he replied, "Please enlighten ."
Having just witnessed Tetsuka's crushing defeat, Shisui had originally planned to wait before challenging Hanekawa, hoping to increase his chances of success.
But now that it had co to this, there was no reason to back down.
Hanekawa and Shisui moved to the center of the field and perford the Seal of Confrontation.
"Another fight?"
Kakashi Hatake raised an eyebrow.
Obito Uchiha's eyes lit up with hope.
"Great! Shisui's here! Uchiha still has a chance!"
"Hanekawa will definitely win," Kurenai Yuhi said confidently.
"Not necessarily," Obito retorted.
"Whose side are you on?" Kurenai asked, visibly annoyed.
"I... I'm on Rin's side," Obito replied awkwardly, glancing at Rin Nohara.
But Rin didn't respond—her attention was on the unfolding battle.
The fight had begun.
Shisui flicked his right hand, sending two kunai flying silently and suddenly toward Hanekawa.
Impressive, Hanekawa thought, admiring Shisui's technique. Among his peers, it was unmatched.
Hanekawa dodged the kunai and charged toward Shisui, his katana drawing a sharp arc aid at Shisui's neck.
The effect of the C-rank skill Swift as the Wind was on full display.
So fast!
Shisui's heart tensed as he quickly drew the blade from his back, blocking the katana just in ti.
But a trendous force struck him, pushing his body backward uncontrollably.
This is bad!
Shisui realized the danger.
Hanekawa lifted his leg and kicked him.
Shisui lost his balance and rolled on the ground twice.
Despite the pain, he imdiately got back on his feet.
Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!
Shisui created so distance and ford hand seals.
The sa Great Fireball Jutsu, but Shisui's fireball was a third larger than Uchiha Tetsuka's.
Hanekawa casually sheathed his katana, crossed his hands, and flicked his wrists. Eight shuriken shot forth, spreading out like a blossoming flower.
The massive fireball was instantly pierced, and the montum of the shuriken didn't falter as they flew toward Uchiha Shisui.
"What?!"
Shisui was stunned.
Hanekawa's ninja tool throwing skills were no worse than his own.
Shisui quickly scanned the incoming shuriken. Seizing the opportunity, he swung his ninja blade sharply.
All eight shuriken were deflected, but the force transmitted through the blade left his right arm montarily numb.
How does he have such strength?
Before he could think further, the sound of rushing air reached his ears.
Instinctively turning his head, he saw the fallen shuriken suddenly springing back toward him.
Threads!
For a mont, Shisui thought he was sparring with another Uchiha ninja.
Body Flicker Technique!
His body accelerated instantly.
After creating so distance, Shisui spun his blade, slicing through the threads and severing them completely.
He followed up with rapid movents of his blade, knocking all the shuriken back.
Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Jutsu!
Shisui re-sheathed his blade and ford hand seals.
Flas spewed from his mouth, catching up to the returning shuriken and combining into a devastating combo attack.
"Too strong!"
Obito Uchiha couldn't help but exclaim, "This is what it ans to be an Uchiha!"
The Phoenix Fire Jutsu was a B-rank Fire Style technique.
Neither he nor Tetsuka could perform it.
Being able to master a B-rank technique ant one was qualified to participate in the Chunin Exams.
In other words, unless Hanekawa had Chunin-level strength, he wouldn't be able to block this.
Body Flicker Technique!
Hanekawa beca a blur, his speed so great that he evaded all eight flaming shuriken effortlessly.
"How is his Body Flicker that fast?"
Obito was dumbfounded.
"Incredible!"
Kakashi instinctively clenched his fists.
"I can't even see him clearly," Rin Nohara and Kurenai Yuhi said, straining their eyes but only managing to catch afterimages.
What the hell?!
Shisui hastily drew his blade.
But in the next mont, he felt a cold sting on his neck.
The katana was already poised at his throat.
One move, and he'd lose his head.
"I lost."
Shisui released his blade and admitted defeat respectfully. "Hanekawa-senpai truly lives up to his reputation. You're even more formidable than I imagined."
"You're not bad yourself," Hanekawa replied with a smile.
"Not at all," Shisui said, scratching his head. "Your Body Flicker technique has opened my eyes. I'll need to study it more."
Hanekawa froze for a mont.
In the original story, Shisui's title, Shisui of the Body Flicker, ca from his mastery of the technique. Yet here, it seed he was inspired by Hanekawa instead.
At that mont, two lines of text appeared before Hanekawa's eyes:
[E-rank Talent Trait "Fire Starter" has been upgraded.]
[Fire Style talent increased by 30%.]
It really upgraded?
Hanekawa was surprised but couldn't help feeling delighted.
If his abilities could improve this way, it ant his talents weren't as hard to enhance as he thought.
"Hanekawa has grown even stronger," Kakashi remarked, having watched the entire fight.
"Amazing," Rin murmured, her eyes filled with admiration.
She hadn't forgotten that Hanekawa's main role was as a dical ninja—and a prodigy at that, one capable of training under Tsunade.
Yet his ninjutsu, genjutsu, and kenjutsu were all top-tier as well. It was almost unbelievable.
Obito stared at Rin's profile, his expression stiffening.
Damn it! How did I lose again?!
What a disgrace to the Uchiha na!
He conveniently forgot that if he faced Hanekawa himself, he'd lose even faster.
