"I wanted to at least make all my opponents hit the wall." Jason murmured to himself, his eyes glued to his fists.

He completely ignored the girl that he knocked unconscious, already planning the fate of his next opponent.

"I’ll increase the strength behind my punches." He decided, turning to the elder’s.

Jason expected their jaws to drop at his display of strength, after all he was basically a magic cripple, they didn’t expect him to one-shot soone who had been enhanced by mana throughout all her years of life.

But to his disappointnt, their expressions weren’t as shocked as he was expecting, But, there was still shock so it counted.

The elder of the Amaterasu clan walked past him, heading in the direction of the girl who had been hit unconscious.

He removed the space ring from her finger, wearing it on his own and inputting his mana into it. In response the ring glowed in a faint blue light, and a healing potion appeared in his grasp.

The elder carefully raised her head up, he opened the vial containing it and poured it into her mouth.

While she wasn’t bleeding the punch that she had received packed quite a bit of strength in it.

As the elder administered the potion, Jason watched nonchalantly, the boy awaited for his next fight.

The girl stirred awake, her eyes fluttering as the healing potion worked its magic.

But as she awoke, she let out a sound of pain and winced.

The pain she felt in her abdon was imnse.

The elder picked her up and carried her away, he carried her as if she was nothing more than a rag doll, not caring whether she was comfortable enough.

The elder of the Amaterasu clan passed Jason again.

"Next!" The voice of Smith Payster sounded out after Jason had left.

Jason watched as Hereon made his way into their arena. The Hachiman boy’s eyes were cold, devoid of emotion.

His opponent was the other mber of the Raijin clan. He bore the white hair of every mber of the Raijin clan, and his face showed a cruel grin.

From his expression, one could tell that the Raijin clan mber was a sadist.

"Begin!"

As soon as Smith Payster’s voice reached the ears of the fighters, the Raijin clan boy sprinted forward.

The boy was fast, there was no denying the undeniable talent that each Raijin clan mber had with lightning magic. And Hereon had no way of countering such speed.

The ring on Hereon’s finger glowed in a dim blue light, his longsword appeared in his hands.

He grasped the hilt of the sword with both of his hands, an act that differed from his usual style of swordplay.

Longswords were typically held with two hands, but one-handed use was also possible. Hereon preferred using a single hand to grip the hilt, though it provided him difficulty most tis.

His grip on the sword was firm as he awaited for the arrival of his opponent.

The Raijin clan mber finally dashed in front of him, he brandished a dagger with an unusual design carved on its blade.

In the mont the Raijin clan mber lunged, his dagger sliced through the air.

Hereon steadied himself, his face devoid of any emotions as he raised his longsword to block the dagger.

The mont of contact between both weapons ca, the clanging of tal against tal echoed across the arena as the dagger collided with Hereon’s longsword.

The Raijin clan mber moved backwards after their clash.

Hereon shifted his stance, his grip on his longsword tightening.

"Pathetic." He sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Is that all you have?"

Hereon didn’t respond, his red eyes eting the eyes of the Raijin clan mber.

Then he did sothing unbelievable, he dropped his sword on the ground before charging towards his opponent, his speed obviously slower than that of his opponent.

The Raijin clan mber’s grin widened, the expression on his face portraying that of pure bliss as he watched Hereon charged at him.

From afar, Jason watched Hereon.

’He’s trying to copy .’ Jason realized.

He was blissfully unaware of the feelings Hereon harbored towards him, and the inferiority complex he had when comparing himself towards Jason.

The Raijin clan mber watched as Hereon closed the distance between the two of them.

"I’ve got you." He said playfully.

With a swift flick of the wrist, he aid the dagger at Hereon’s abdon.

The weapon pierced his skin, lodging itself within him.

But Hereon didn’t flinch, his eyes still held that cold nonchalant look that he held when the fight started. He closed the gap between them in an instant, ignoring the pain that spread out throughout his system.

Sothing similar to this had happened before, for a second Hereon rembered it.

The Giant Arachnid Spider had created a hole that went straight through his stomach, that ti he was rendered incapable of moving.

This ti however, though the wound wasn’t comparable to how big it was before, it was still worth acknowledging.

Hereon’s fist brimd with mana as he threw his first punch, his fist connecting hard with the Raijin’s face. A tooth flew out his mouth as he felt the impact reverberate through his head, disorienting him.

The Raijin clan mber staggered backwards, his cruel grin faltering.

But he wasn’t given any chance to recover.

Hereon continued with the barrage, rushing forward to land a punch on the abdon of his opponent.

Saliva spurted out of his mouth, imitating a broken pipe as the spittle landed on Hereon.

The boy tumbled backwards, the pain he felt was imnse.

It was almost as if Hereon was pouring out all his frustrations out, pouring out all his regrets on a human punching bag.

The Raijin clan mber managed to get back on his feet, glancing around rapidly as he searched for Hereon.

Just then, another punch landed on his other cheek.

Blood spewed out of his mouth as the blow connected with his face, but this ti it was different, a lot more heat was emanating from Hereon’s fists.

He didn’t give his opponent the leisure of getting sent away. Before the Raijin clan mber’s body could be sent tumbling, he grabbed the boy’s shirt and held him.

He looked at the sa person who had been taunting him a few minutes ago; one side of the boy’s face was bruised while the other side was burnt.

Their eyes t each other once again, except this ti one of them was on the verge of tears.

Hereon let go of his shirt, dropping him on the ground. His earlier determination to beat the Raijin clan mber more vanished.

The boy fell onto the ground.

Hereon walked away, his hand going towards the dagger embedded in his abdon.

Without thinking twice, he removed it.

He retrieved his sword, keeping it in his space ring before throwing the dagger onto the ground.

The Hachiman clan mber went back to the corner of the room.

...

’His stats have changed by quite a bit since we t for the first ti.’ Jason thought, watching Hereon leave the stage.

’Still, I’m surprised he left his sword and switched to his fists just because he wanted to imitate what I did.’

The elder from the Raijin clan walked towards the boy whom Hereon had thoroughly defeated. She picked him up as if she was holding trash and left the hall with the boy in tow.

Jason could already imagine what she was going to put him through, after all, he was on the verge of tears from just three blows.

The Raijin clan being the most inhumane of all the clans would obviously not be proud if one of their own lost as embarrassingly as the boy did.

’According to the elders, two of us from our segnt will win. With only the girl from the Amaterasu clan and the other boy from the Raijin clan remaining, its safe to say that both I and Hereon will be winners.’

’That ans the Hachiman clan will win in both of the segnts.’ Jason thought. ’But that Hades clan girl is a mystery.’

Jason had noticed that summoning magic was among one of her many talents, that imdiately made him wary of her.

Summoning magic was supposed to be illegal magic only used by outlaws, yet, a mber of the five strongest clans possessed it.

’With summoning magic, one needs corpses. Like the Hobgoblin that had turned its own n into corpses when using summoning.’ Jason thought rembering the monster. ’If my guess is correct, she must carry so corpses around with her.’

With summoning magic as a talent, Jason could only imagine how many summons she had done.

Jason snapped out of his thoughts as he heard his na being called.

’I’ll think about it later.’ He decided.
