Julia pointed at a tree hole in the distance and said to Leo with an excited look on her face.
After learning about the griffin’s location from Vladimir, Leo brought Julia to that location.
Even though Julia was suspicious, she followed Leo’s directions without saying anything because it was customary for advanced heroes to have good senses.
Nevertheless, they soon found an injured griffin hiding in a tree hole.

Leo focused entirely on the griffin’s beak and soon saw a small black-coloured stone.

Leo was a little disappointed; however, after reading the effects of the ‘Fragnt of the God stone’, he felt it was still a valuable item.
‘Even though I only rank 7 heroes, I can keep it and give it to either Ryan or Julia in the future when they beco rank 7 heroes.’
Leo silently thought as he looked at the special mutated beast in the tree hole.
The special mutated beast that was holding the fragnt of the God stone in its beak was called Griffin, a mutated beast with the head of an eagle and a body of a lion.
The Minotaur king had severely injured the griffin and was waiting for its death.
Even though it had a fragnt of the god stone in its beak, the griffin didn’t dare to swallow it because it could sense there was a lot of energy in it, which would make its body explode.
“Looks like Griffins are good at sensing energies.”
Seeing how careful Griffin was with the fragnt of the God stone, Leo could tell that it already knew about the powerful energy stored inside it.
“Julia, move closer to it and use your talent on it.”
After thinking for a mont, Leo asked Julia to go closer to it.

Even though Julia acted bravely until now, she was scared to move closer to the griffin as its strength was at rank 5.
“Don’t worry; it can’t move from its place. So, it can’t attack you,”
Leo assured her that the rank 5 griffin would not attack because it could not even move from its place.
“Also, I can’t go near it as my strength is enough to scare it, which would automatically trigger the stone.”
“Just follow my plan and always check my hand signs as you proceed to the plan’s next step.”
He added a few more words and explained why he could not go near it, and at the sa ti, Leo explained to her his plan.
“Ok..okay.”
Julia nodded her head and slowly walked towards the tree hole, mustering her courage.
‘Screech’
Seeing Julia, the griffin, of course, showed aggressive behaviour; however, just like Leo said, it didn’t move from its place.
“I am not going to attack you. I will help you.”
When she heard the griffin’s screech, Julia shivered a little; however, she tried her best to reveal a gentle smile and said she would help it.
‘Wave of recovery’
When she was around 35 ters away from the tree hole, Julia used her talent as small green light dots ca out of her body and covered the entire 40 ters radius around her.
Forty-ter radius was the limit of her talent, and all the targets chosen by Julia would be healed.
The griffin showing aggressive behaviour, cald down a little when the green light dots fell on its body.
The injuries on its body slowly started closing as the griffin let its guard down and slowly rested its eagle head on the ground.
Of course, the fragnt of the God stone was still inside its beak.

Leo was satisfied with Julia’s performance as he signalled her to move to the next step of their plan.
“Looks like you don’t have enough energy. Why don’t you eat this fruit?”
Julia spoke gently, fearing that the griffin might go back to its aggressive behaviour.
At the sa ti, she threw a green-coloured fruit that Leo gave her earlier at the griffin.
It was one of the stamina recovery fruits that Leo got from the ‘Hidden assassins’ rcenary squad.

The griffin opened its eyes and looked at the fruit in front of it and then took a glance at Julia for a mont.

It carefully kept the stone in its beak aside before swallowing the fruit in a single gulp.
If the griffin was not injured, it would not have bothered to eat the stamina recovery fruit; however, it had been chased by the Minotaur king and its minions for an entire day.
Moreover, it also got severely injured by the Minotaur king. After sensing that Julia was a kind-hearted human, the griffin swallowed the fruit to satiate its hunger.

On the other side, Leo was waiting for this mont and used his teleportation talent to appear beside the Griffin instantly.
‘Screech’
With the sudden appearance of a human beside it, the griffin released a loud screech and wanted to attack the human.
“Stay quiet.”
With a single hand, Leo pressed its eagle head to the ground and picked the fragnt of the God stone from the ground.

Leo looked at the small piece of black stone in his hands and muttered.
‘Let’s see what its special effect is.’
Holding down the griffin, Leo appraised the stone in his hands once again to check its special effect.
