39: Chapter 39: Completing the Shortcomings 39: Chapter 39: Completing the Shortcomings Leon’s hearing was exceptionally good, so even though he was quite far away, he could still faintly hear the noisy clamor of the Orcs before entering the battlents; none of them seed to support submitting to him in his mory.

Of course, he could understand why, since he was just a Young Dragon, slightly bigger than normal, but not yet the size of a teenage dragon.

If he were a young dragon, looking almost identical to an Adult Dragon except for so minor differences, just landing from the sky would probably be enough to make the Orcs submit without saying a word.

Leon seriously suspected that those Orcs were plotting sothing against him, such as luring him to the ground to kill him.

Without the power of Samadhi True Fire, he genuinely felt vulnerable, but as the cheering ended, he indeed heard a familiar ding sound.

“Now I am the boss—gaining a servant or a group of servants that bring food and treasure.”

Rewards that are never ant to be had, and error ssages that always pop up, I won’t look at them anymore, it’s just a waste of emotions; I should just focus on progress and rewards.

Back to the main topic.

“Normal Reward: Gathering Form and Scattering Energy.”

With the reward claid, Leon no longer cared about those Orcs, focusing all his attention on the newly acquired reward.

He didn’t expect this regular reward to be as powerful as Samadhi True Fire—just hoped it wouldn’t be a useless skill like the Water Walking Technique that he seldom used over the years.

Gathering Form and Scattering Energy, after use, leaves a decoy while the true body disperses into Clean Energy and vanishes into the air, then can re-form at any ti to deliver a lethal surprise attack to the enemy, finally re-forming when the Spell duration ends…

The Orcs’ cheering had ended, and they all looked at Leon, waiting for him to say sothing inspiring.

However, Leon’s eyes were only on the new Spell he had just acquired, starting to experint with it on his own.

It was a very special Spell that required no chanting; a re thought could activate it.

All in all, Leon exerted his power and flew out, entering the Gathering Form and Scattering Energy state.

Once in the Scattering Energy state, Leon saw a different landscape; the entire world was no longer fixed, but gently swayed in all directions.

This was because he had turned into a mass of Clean Energy that floated around in the air.

Turning his head back, Leon saw his own figure standing where he had been seconds before, which although turned into a wisp of air dispersed by the wind, could still deceive enemies.

Undoubtedly, this Spell was much more powerful than Invisibility Technique.

During its duration, not only could he enter an Invisible state, his movent speed would also greatly increase, moving like a breeze, and even flying up and down like a breeze, not bounded by collisions, squeezing through tight spaces without leaving footprints.

Of course, it had drawbacks; the Spell’s duration was indeed very short, calculated by seconds—pitifully lesser compared to Invisibility Technique that could last an hour, and it could only be used by oneself, unlike Invisibility Technique which could be cast on others.

It also couldn’t be used continuously as the body would enter a state of discomfort after using the Spell, making it difficult to re-form or scatter, only hoping for improvent in later uses.

Leon, transford into a breeze, circled around the battlents and finally landed on the round tower, re-ford, and with a slap, shattered an already damaged Crossbow Cannon completely.

It seed that due to residual Mana, the Spell didn’t naturally end, and there seed to be a bonus for one more attack.

Gathering Form and Scattering Energy really is a good Skill, versatile in both offense and defense.

Speaking of offense, aside from Sword Control Technique, Immobilization Spell, and Samadhi True Fire, he really wasn’t lacking.

In terms of defense, the Heavenly Eye Technique can only be regarded as a functional spell.

Before, there was no spell that allowed retreat from a formidable enemy at will, but now with the Gathering Form and Scattering Energy, survival is absolutely guaranteed, and one can afford to be a bit reckless.

Leon stood atop the circular tower laughing heartily, completely unaware that his performance was causing the Orcs in the central courtyard to exchange puzzled looks.

Weren’t you just standing on the battlents?

How did you disappear with a gust of wind and then appear on top of the circular tower?

And with a single slap, you dismantled the Crossbow Cannon, so is your claw attack damage that high?

No wonder you can instantly eliminate the monsters inside the battlents.

Anyway, the stronger the Red Dragon, the better for everyone.

Dekka led the cheer again, which stunned Lorug, thinking “You commit too quickly, too thoroughly, were you just pretending all along?”

Having obtained the Gathering Form and Scattering Energy, Leon regained his confidence and no longer fixated on leaving, asking: “Did you say you want to submit to ?”

“For the sake of the Red Dragon,” Dekka raised both hands.

Leon was now completely unconcerned about the Orcs turning against him, worse cos to worst, he could just use Gathering Form and Scattering Energy to escape and slowly seek revenge later.

Considering the inconvenience of talking at a distance, he flapped his wings and landed in the central courtyard.

“That’s possible,” he thought of his previous leader, learning from them, raised his claw and patted the Orc’s shoulder, “I won’t mistreat you guys in the future.”

“Dekka will conquer the whole world for the Red Dragon.” Dekka stood upright, a better display than Leon’s instinctively crouching figure when they first t.

“Conquering the world is not urgent,” Leon had no intention of conquering the world, wondering why bother with such troubles, “Let’s conquer this abandoned fortress first.”

“Let these people disperse, no need to stand here, go about your own business,” Leon was now very easy-going.

“Disperse, disperse, everyone disperse,” Dekka waved at the Orcs, of course, Lorug couldn’t leave, in the end, he kicked the Ogre, “Idiot, off you go.

Scram!”

“I heard you say there’s treasure hidden here,” Leon looked towards Lorug, thought for a mont, and nodded, “Treasure, your origin, the origin of this abandoned fortress… tell everything you know.”

Lorug nodded and recounted everything he knew.

Leon occasionally interjected questions.

The abandoned fortress was built many years ago, destroyed for unknown reasons.

It was a place that made the nearby villages’ people pale in ntion, said to be infested with Demons and Devils; once soone entered, they couldn’t get out.

The Orcs ca here half a year ago after their tribe was defeated by another tribe, they scattered and fled here.

The outside of the entire abandoned fortress was safe, but inside the battlents lurked monsters.

The Orcs who entered the battlents were attacked; half a year passed and they were still at a loss…

The Crawling Claw, skeletons, and zombies killed many, but they had no good way to deal with those Invisible Monsters until Leon arrived.

“It turns out you don’t even know if there’s actually any treasure here…” Leon couldn’t help but comnt after listening to Lorug.

“The strongest monster you encountered was that Mage ghost, right?” Leon thought it was fortunate he moved quickly, otherwise, according to the Orcs, that Mage ghost knew many spells and was a monster in many senses of the word.

“That Mage ghost was indeed strong, but I have already dealt with him,” Leon looked at the battlents, “So that ans this battlent is now safe.”

“Whether there’s treasure or not, we’ll know once we go inside and check.”

Leon wanted to explore the battlents, but unfortunately, due to his size, he got stuck at the corridors and entrance.

He never thought there’d be a day when his large body was a disadvantage; he could only honestly stay outside and watch the Orcs enter the battlents.
