Chapter 322: Chapter 317: I Will Protect You

Swap your typical dragon with one who hoards wealth and keeps every Gold Coin for themselves, and they’d never waste their treasure hosting a lavish banquet.

Enjoy life to its fullest; let no goblet face the moon empty. Born with talent, I shall find a use; scatter gold as if it will always return.

Leon isn’t your typical dragon. Having just plundered the Kraken and extorted the Frost Giant, he’s flush with cash — and unconcerned about spending a few hundred Gold Coins. With several dragons under his wing, all of them notoriously voracious, he’s prepared to organize a grand feast, inviting friends and acquaintances to strengthen bonds.

Undoubtedly, dragons were among those on Leon’s guest list. Besides them, there were others: the Efreeti, Ward the Werewolf (forrly the Evil Wolf), Andrea, the ex-pirate captain, and Berrian the Fallen Elf Druid who used to serve Slankus, the elder Green Dragon. Quite a mixed attendance.

“It’s a pleasure to see you again, Lady lting Roar.” Edwin spotted Anglistra from afar and imdiately approached her.

Unlike the arrogant and grudging Red Dragon, Edwin, being Human, understood the importance of dissolving enmity. Since he’d soon be working under Leon, he had to foster goodwill with Anglistra, especially considering she’s Leon’s mother — even if Red Dragons rarely cared about familial ties.

“I figured you wouldn’t be pleased to see ,” Anglistra, currently in human form, replied. A striking beauty with fiery red hair, she stood taller than Edwin.

Edwin smiled subtly, without responding directly.

“When are you planning to repay ?” Anglistra asked abruptly, not considering the money she was demanding as stirring trouble. True trouble ant greeting Edwin with a burst of Fla Breath.

“I’m sorry; I’m entirely broke at the mont,” Edwin said, spreading his hands. Truly, he had no money—he’d left every coin for his descendants back in Bern.

Anglistra narrowed her eyes dangerously at Edwin, scrutinizing him until satisfied he wasn’t lying. Finally, she looked away and remarked, “A Mage this penniless is really embarrassing.”

“If you don’t have money now, that’s fine. Pay back when you do,” Anglistra declared. “I don’t care; you owe a million Gold Coins, with 3% monthly interest, compounded over ti.”

Edwin shrugged his shoulders.

“Brother, who is that person? Why do I feel instant dislike for her?” Salovis asked. Without True Vision, she couldn’t discern Isily’s true identity, though her gut feeling worked soundly.

“Take a guess,” Leon replied, crossing his arms.

Salovis scoffed. “Not another tal Dragon, right?”

“It is a tal Dragon,” Leon said. “Guess what kind of tal Dragon she is?”

“White hair, intensely irritating aura… Don’t tell she’s a Silver Dragon.” Salovis affird her suspicion. “Why did you bring a Silver Dragon back?”

“I kidnapped her,” Leon replied proudly.

“Keeping an obnoxious Silver Dragon alive — for what? Breeding?” Salovis pondered aloud. “Looking closely, she’s not as pretty as , but still fairly attractive… Brother, are you planning sothing with her? If so, I support you! Turn her completely Fallen, shape her to resemble you entirely!”

Leon gave his sister a sideways glance, wondering if this fool was genuinely a Red Dragon.

Judging by her sheer arrogance, audacity, uninhibited speech, reckless bravery, chaotic evil tendencies, and everything else, she was undeniably Red Dragon through-and-through.

Dragons don’t perceive ultrasonic or infrasonic waves any better than Humans, but Dragons excel in listening — their hearing far surpasses the average Human’s.

In the lively hall, Fiora sharpened her ears to pick up the dialogue between siblings, then turned toward the silver-haired girl beside her. The girl hadn’t stopped chattering since their eting, bombarding Fiora with questions about the tal Knight…

Fiora wasn’t keen on discussing the tal Knight, given the evident contradiction of her current actions — opposing the rampant Colorful Dragons and halting Tiamat’s influence from spreading further in this world.

Leon was indeed distinct from ordinary Red Dragons, but he was still one. That fact would never change.

Deciding not to dwell on her internal dilemmas, Fiora asked, recalling the overheard conversation, “Are you the one Leon kidnapped?”

Isily, full of youthful exuberance and distinctly unlike a typical Silver Dragon, now faced her idolized tal Knight and dared not act frivolously. With a ek deanor, her shoulders slumped as she answered, “I didn’t expect him to actually be a Red Dragon. He’s nothing like one.”

“What exactly happened?” Fiora pressed further.

Unable to refuse, Isily summarized her encounter with Leon, though intentionally omitting certain parts—as when she insisted on following Leon into an adventurer party, causing subsequent events, or how she demanded his introduction to the tal Knight upon hearing of their acquaintance.

“And you, Sister Fiora? You’re a righteous tal Knight,” Isily asked inquisitively. “Why would you associate with a Red Dragon?”

“I’m not his subordinate; I’m his overseer. If he attempts evil deeds, I’ll be the first to stop him,” Fiora replied with unwavering composure. “This world cannot endure a tyrant Red Dragon.”

“You’re so cool, Sister Fiora!” Isily’s eyes sparkled with admiration — after all, she was rely an inexperienced teenage dragon.

“It’s nothing remarkable,” Fiora said dismissively. “Let’s talk more about you.”

“Oh.” Isily nodded enthusiastically.

“Has he bullied you?” Fiora probed. She felt confident enough to speak up in front of Leon, or otherwise seek Tassera’s assistance if needed — they shared a decent rapport.

Isily recalled the incident where Leon licked her… For Silver Dragons, courtship and mating rituals are always refined and elegant. To be rudely licked by a Red Dragon was deeply mortifying. She stamred, “N-No… not really, basically nothing.”

“There’s a difference between ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ What do you an by ‘basically nothing’?” Fiora demanded firmly. As a female knight with quick wit and discernnt, nothing escaped her. “Your expression betrays you.”

“Just once—he licked ,” Isily muttered bashfully. “That’s all. Just a lick.”

“A lick is not ‘just a lick.’ That’s harassnt—pure misconduct,” Fiora declared with utmost seriousness.

Isily lightly bit her lip and said, “Well, it’s because he’s a Red Dragon.”

“Does being a Red Dragon grant him impunity?” Fiora questioned thoughtfully, then continued, “Did he specifically say why he brought you from the Belen Kingdom? Has he asked you to do sothing?”

“Only one thing, and it was clearly a joke,” Isily responded. While willing to interpret Leon in the worst light, she instinctively felt certain actions unlikely and preemptively clarified her stance.

“What was it?” Fiora asked.

Isily whispered hesitantly, “To… be his bed warr.”

That single remark caused Fiora’s brow to furrow.

Her impression of Leon during his teenage years was that he wasn’t particularly interested in won. Despite Cecilia’s countless advances at the ti, they seed ineffective. However, after entering adulthood, Leon quickly won over Cecilia and would often spend nights at Tassera’s Mage Tower — evidently brimming with vigor.

“It won’t escalate…” Isily asked with caution.

“Don’t worry; it won’t. I’ll protect you,” Fiora assured softly, gently brushing Isily’s silver hair.

Isily was brimming with ideas, yet unready to sacrifice herself as prey for a tiger. Fiora, however, stood prepared, willing to safeguard the younger generation at any cost.
