Chapter 309: Chapter 304: Who is the Madman

The swimming speed of a seal couldn’t match the Storm Predecessor. To avoid being caught, Leon decisively transford into a sailfish, with an average swimming speed of over 100 kiloters per hour and a top speed nearing 200, striving to distance himself from the Storm Predecessor.

Leon didn’t know how long he had been swimming or where he had ended up. He only ensured that even if the Silver Dragon turned back to look for him, it definitely wouldn’t be able to find him. He then slowly ca to a stop.

“Druid, why did you stop running?” The Storm Predecessor caught up to Leon, swinging its trident and smashing the seaweed-covered reef to pieces.

Leon glanced at the Storm Predecessor, wiggled his tail, and burrowed into the seaweed. In an instant, the sailfish disappeared, and a Storm Predecessor stood up, leaving the pursuing Storm Predecessor dumbfounded.

“Who told you I was a Druid?” The transford Storm Predecessor, Leon, appeared fully equipped with weapons and armor, though those weapons and armor were re illusions—impressive in appearance, but functionally useless.

“Do you think an illusion can fool ?” The Storm Predecessor was furious, gripping its trident tightly and hurling it forward.

Leon, now possessing so combat skills, easily used the trident to block the incoming projectile. He retaliated by using his tentacles to casually pick up a rock and toss it back, proving he was no illusion.

“Shape Shifting, is it?” The Storm Predecessor, well-versed in such matters, wasn’t easily deceived. After all, he was a corrupted Storm Giant, and Storm Giants were often reclusive prophets adept at deep thought. They could foresee the rise and fall of empires, discern the beginning and end of fortune or disaster, interpret ons and prophecies, and held many hidden secrets and knowledge of legendary, forgotten treasures.

“You’re strong, but you’ve ssed with the wrong person.” The Storm Predecessor gestured, and the trident flew back automatically into his hand.

“It’s just a few livestock. Is there any need to be so frantic?” Leon said nonchalantly, aware that the Kraken didn’t care about the Kraken Priests. “You hide in the deep sea. If we don’t kill a few livestock, how else can we draw your attention and find you?”

“Who are you?” The Storm Predecessor’s expression turned serious upon hearing this. “What do you want with us?”

“I don’t want anything with you; I have business with your master.” Leon stood on the seabed.

The Storm Predecessor stared intently at Leon and asked, “Then what business do you have with Him?”

“Sotis, knowing too much isn’t good for you. Haven’t you heard the saying? Ignorance is bliss,” Leon replied cryptically, offering no useful information. He knew well the principle that the more you say, the more likely you are to slip up, and the Storm Predecessor was no fool to be easily deceived.

The Storm Predecessor considered the situation. Surely, no one would dare waste his ti, especially that of his master—unless a god descended from the Celestial Realm, no one in the dark deep sea could contend with his master, lest they wanted to beco fish food.

“Very well, I can take you to see my master.” The Storm Predecessor didn’t deliberate long. A person capable of Shape Shifting with such mastery wouldn’t likely be wasting ti frivolously. “I hope you truly have a purpose.”

Leon initially thought eting the Kraken would require considerable effort, but to his surprise, it was this easy.

On second thought, putting himself in their position, it wasn’t hard to understand. If a Spellcaster who could use both Nine-Ring Magic and Shape Shifting repeatedly claid they had urgent matters, attempting to visit him on the Volcanic Island, neither his subordinates nor himself would refuse such a eting.

In any case, the battle stopped, and Leon followed the Storm Predecessor to leave.

Deep within the vast, bottomless ocean, in the dim waters untouched by sunlight, countless shipwrecks lay silently on the seabed, forming a forgotten ancient ruin. Among them lurked a massive Kraken, lurking ominously amidst the darkness.

The Kraken wasn’t just so deep-sea giant squid. It looked more like an enormous fish. Its gaping maw, filled with densely packed long, razor-sharp teeth, was monstrous. From the position of its tail grew ten barbed tentacles, lined with hooked suckers, which writhed like colossal serpents, entwining the masts of the sunken ships.

“So, you’re the one who wants to see ?” The Kraken, fluent in many languages—including Abyss Language, Celestial Language, Purgatory Language, and Primordial Language—didn’t have the ability to verbally speak. As a powerful Spiritual Ability User, it primarily relied on telepathy for communication.

The Kraken slowly approached Leon and said, “You are not a Storm Giant.”

Legend has it that in the primordial era, Krakens served as fierce Martial Artists under the gods. But after the divine wars ended, Krakens were no longer enslaved by the gods and refused to be governed by anyone.

The Kraken wasn’t so re abnormality but a Titan—undoubtedly one of the most formidable beings on the Material Plane. With the ability of True Vision, it could see through most disguises, but Leon’s 72 Transformations weren’t easy to unravel, making it hard to discern his true form for now.

Both Shape Shifting and the 72 Transformations required having seen the target at least once. To be cautious, Leon brazenly let his gaze wander over the Kraken’s body, from its grotesque head to its fin-like limbs…

Indeed, the Kraken resembled a fish, but it had no fins—only seal-like flippers that allowed it to crawl along the seabed or on land. So Krakens were amphibious, traveling upstream along rivers to build nests in freshwater lakes, destroying towns along the way.

“Why aren’t you speaking?” The Kraken patiently waited for ten seconds but didn’t hear Leon respond. Annoyed, it emitted a surge of Spiritual Energy. A swarm of red-eyed Sahuagin, Sea Evil Spirits, and various aquatic creatures erged from the darkness.

Leon sensed a current of electricity but, as the Storm Predecessor, had immunity to lightning.

Leon noticed the treasure scattered across the sunken ships beneath the Kraken and was tempted. Still, on second thought, he realized it wasn’t worth provoking such a powerful Kraken for a little bit of treasure.

“Is it your people who’ve been causing the recent disappearances in Whale Bone Town?” Leon, unable to use telepathy, spoke, but all that escaped his mouth were aningless bubbles.

“What did you say?” The Kraken wasn’t unable to understand Leon’s words but found them incomprehensible. Had he traveled into the deep sea to confront a mighty Kraken over such a trivial matter?

“I was commissioned by the City Lord of Iron Port to investigate the missing persons in Whale Bone Town and traced it back to your Kraken Priests…” Leon said. “If you confess, you’ll be treated leniently. If you resist, you’ll be punished severely. I advise you not to persist in your wrongdoing.”

The Kraken, perplexed, remarked, “Are you insane?”

“How did you bring a lunatic before ?” The Kraken didn’t lose its temper at Leon. No sane person would argue with a madman. Instead, it turned to the Storm Predecessor.

“No,” the Storm Predecessor replied. “He must’ve been overwheld by the sheer majesty of Lord Yosasi’s form, leading to a ntal breakdown and descent into madness.”

Leon didn’t offer an explanation and continued, “Seeing as it’s your first offense, if you’re willing to compensate, I might overlook this incident.”

Finding the situation dull, the Kraken turned and said one last thing before leaving: “Kill him.”

“Leave it to , Lord Yosasi.” The Storm Predecessor swam toward Leon. “I don’t care who you are. You’ve disgraced in front of Lord Yosasi, and I’ll cut you into a thousand pieces!”

The Kraken’s challenge rating was undoubtedly high, but Leon wouldn’t have appeared before it without the confidence of surpassing it in power… After all, he was now a 50-year-old young dragon, and the Heavenly Immortal Pills worth nearly a million weren’t consud in vain.

Leon chuckled mischievously and activated his 72 Transformations, shifting from the form of the Storm Predecessor into an enormous Kraken.
