On a mountain peak at the borders of the Buddha Country, a faint, elusive purity of Buddha's energy suffused the air.

Atop the peak, Guanyin and Tan Wuwei both sat cross-legged upon lotus platforms, surrounded by murmuring Buddhist chantings and the manifestation of Buddhist texts.

From their vantage point, they could clearly witness the Heavenly Fire descending from the sky, even more so as Tan Wuwei possessed the divine skill of foresight, yet they remained unmoved, as if oblivious to the turmoil.

This was not rely because the injuries to believers or the destruction of Buddha statues were trivial matters, insufficient to warrant the intervention of two third grades, but also due to the presence of two recent visitors.

The two guests were markedly different; one had a towering figure, wore a black robe, had an ugly yet imposing and weighty visage, with hair like coarse needles, exuding an extrely strong blood aura.

The other wore a black magic robe, with his face obscured by a bronze mask, resembling a shadow, elusive and mysterious.

These two were none other than two of the Four Great Asura Kings of the Fire House Buddha Hell—Luo Hou and Jidou.

Luo Hou stood with his hands behind his back, despite facing away from the direction of the descending Heavenly Fire, he seed perfectly aware of the situation there, and asked in a deep voice, "Why don't the two Great Masters go to rescue the believers in the Eight Right City?"

"Amitabha."

Guanyin lowered her gaze, her expression compassionate, "This humble monk has already sent soone to administer aid, so there is no need for the Asura King to worry."

"Compared to the upheaval in the Eight Right City, the presence of such a demonic giant as the Asura King concerns us more." Tan Wuwei also spoke slowly, with a look of compassion.

"Do the two Great Masters co to guard against , a re fourth-rank? Ha."

Luo Hou seed to be taken aback, then laughed to himself and said, "Moonlight Buddhist friend, a hundred years have passed, yet you have beco even more hypocritical than before."

Facing the two third grades, Luo Hou showed no fear, instead openly mocking.

The "Moonlight" he ntioned was none other than Guanyin's dharma na a century ago.

At that ti, Guanyin was still the fourth-rank Moonlight Bodhisattva, and in the Buddha Country, all the fourth ranks addressed her by that dharma na. As for Guanyin's dharma na before advancing to the fourth rank, that was another story.

For those within the Buddha Country, changing dharma nas is not uncommon. Each escalation in rank might involve a na change, intended to accommodate the cultivation of the Fire Path, and to strengthen the external Dharma form.

Guanyin seed completely unconcerned by Luo Hou's mockery, hearing it without anger, maintaining her compassion unchanged.

She slowly spoke, "In this humble monk's mory, the Asura King was a straightforward person; I wonder if, after a hundred years, the Asura King has changed or remained the sa."

"Then it is I who seem hypocritical now."

Luo Hou laughed loudly, saying, "Fine then, I will speak openly. The Worldly Venerable is willing to lend the two of you a hand, to prevent the Awakened from achieving the path."

"Just like in the Eight Right City?" Tan Wuwei calmly replied.

Regarding the upheaval in the Eight Right City, how could Tan Wuwei be unaware of the details?

She saw at a glance that sinister forces were at play, and many of these heterodox forces were aligned with the Fire House Buddha Hell a century ago. Even after a century of purging, the resurgence of these heterodox forces cannot be without the influence of the Fire House Buddha Hell.

Tan Wuwei had reason to suspect that the resurgent heterodox forces were rely facades for the Fire House Buddha Hell, and the people within were actually Luo Hou's Devil's Children and Devil's Grandsons.

"But it is indeed a ans to delay the Awakened, is it not?"

Luo Hou was candid, directly admitting it, while adding, "Ladies, if you wish to succeed, you'll need powerful allies. The Worldly Venerable is the Awakened's arch-enemy, and working with us is advantageous and harmless. I've said all I can, I hope you'll consider it well."

With that, Luo Hou nodded slightly to the two of them, and both he and Jidou took a step back simultaneously.

A faint ripple appeared, seeming to montarily reveal a corner of a massive roulette, and the two Asura Kings of the Fire House Buddha Hell vanished directly from where they stood.

"A technique similar to True Void Ho..."

Tan Wuwei's eyes shone brightly, having foreseen the disappearance of Luo Hou and Jidou, she focused intently, discovering a hint of sothing from their vanishing traces.

"He was once the head of the Dharma Protecting Divine Generals a hundred years ago, at that ti, Guangli and Weitu were still fifth-rank, assisting him."

Guanyin's expression no longer held compassion, but instead exhibited solemnity, "Back then, his power was on par with mine. A century has passed, I have advanced to third grade while he remains at fourth-rank, yet his skill must have progressed. Even perhaps..."

The latter part of her statent remained unspoken, but Tan Wuwei understood her intent.

"Ye Ru's cottage, perhaps..." Tan Wuwei unconsciously lowered her voice.

Having learned from a certain pirated monkey about the relationship between the Awakened and Ye Ru, Tan Wuwei naturally didn't hide it from the Heavenly Monarch.

Upon hearing this secret, the Heavenly Monarch had already deduced that the Awakened and Ye Ru were essentially one entity.

As a Supre, he did not believe another could silently cultivate to such an extent, even if this person were a disciple or brother of the Awakened. He had his suspicions back then, being involved in the Buddha Country, and upon discovering the secret, he was certain of their connection.

The Heavenly Monarch once said that Luo Hou, who had achieved mastery of the "Buddha's Scripture of the Strongman Moving Mountains," might be intended as Ye Ru's cottage.

"That great battle a hundred years ago, while others may not know, we Buddha Country Bodhisattvas certainly do," Guanyin also lowered her voice, saying, "Ultimately, Ye Ru failed to overco the Awakened, yet the Awakened couldn't kill Ye Ru either. Their battle caused the death of countless tens of thousands, and eventually, the Awakened voluntarily made a pact with Ye Ru."
