"I have talked much about myself; can you tell sothing about yours?" Selena found it very funny that for hours she had been talking about herself without knowing much about this new friend of hers.
"Hahaha, it’s been fun listening to you dear. As I told you earlier, I am Alayna West and I am currently running a convenience store in *** alley_"
Before Alayna could finish, Selena cut her right away, "OMG! Are you really the owner of that famous mysterious store?"
Alayna smiled and replied, "umm, I am."
Selena upon hearing this was so happy that her face was blooming, "I can’t believe that I managed to score such a person at one go. My kids are custors at your shop and I have eaten so snacks from there. Although they are expensive, they are very worthy of their prices. I guess I now should visit your shop and see."
"Umm, you should co and visit."
"I will definitely do that. So, tell more about this shop," Selena urged for more.
Alayna was happy to divulge so information but not all as so things couldn’t be said, after all, she wasn’t so id***.
Selena was glad to et a fellow cultivator who was business-minded, a mother just like her and they just clicked. To her, Alayna was different from those won who befriend her for her benefit.
Being a rchant’s wife with a lot of money, she has everyone trying to suck up to her and the relationship wasn’t even genuine. But what can she do when the world was already rotten to the core?
"Since we are now friends, we should hang out when you are free. When are you usually free?"
"Umm, about that, I only have one day off despite being the boss and I work from eight in the morning to five in the evening daily but maybe in the future when I employ soone, I will have so free ti."
Selena was sad to hear about this crazy schedule but everyone has got their own quirks so she decided to not ask further but what she heard also made her eyes lit up as an opportunity was presented to her.
"How about I help you find so trustable employees?" Selena suggested since one of her husband’s businesses was an employnt agency.
Alayna shook her head after hearing this, "not that fast, I have my own way of finding employees but if I really need your help, I will not hesitate to ask for your help."
"Okay, since you insist then I will wait then."
Alayna resud her conversation with Selena and the two shared quite a lot of wonderful information with each other.
From what she heard from Selena, the other was forty-eight years old, which is five years older than her which wasn’t a huge age gap. She is married to a rchant who is one of the richest people in the city.
Alayna actually heard about this family before and she was surprised that Selena was the madam. To think that a powerful and rich woman like Selena acted like that towards her and treated her very humbly, she felt very touched.
Selena has five children with her husband, they talked about cultivation but didn’t go into details about that since both of them were not interested in the topic.
Selena’s oldest child is male and aged twenty-four while the youngest is female and aged ten. Alayna was very happy to talk about kids and didn’t let Selena take all the glory and bragged about her own as well.
Alayna was privileged to see Selena’s private collection, the pieces that only appear on special occasions in the shop as well as so auctions.
"I am in love with these three," Alayna couldn’t help but beco greedy upon seeing so pieces from the collection.
Although she barely has ti to dress, she was also a woman and dressing is sothing that every woman likes. So how can she be different?
Selena looked at Alayna with surprise in her eyes seeing what Alayna had pointed at.
"Are you sure that you love only these?"
"I love all of them but these are my favorites. How much are they?" Alayna asked with excitent in her tone.
"Hahaha, how can we talk about money between friends?"
"It’s better to separate other things dear. If you co to my shop I can’t, even give you anything for free. Money is a problem and has caused a lot of misunderstandings in life," Alayna said as she looked at the other with sincere eyes.
Selena seeing that Alayna wasn’t even budging, sighed but inwardly she was very happy that her new friend didn’t want to use her, "okay, okay...ahhh, if you insist then let’s talk about it and get it done."
Alayna nodded her head with satisfaction upon hearing this. Alayna had taken interest in a golden phoenix headpiece and it reminded her of her bird. The other piece was an armlet in the shape of a sparrow and lastly, it was a flower headpiece with beautiful colors.
Alayna discussed the price with Selena but she could tell that they were discounted prices, ’I will repay you for this.’
After purchasing the pieces, she didn’t hang around for long and finally left the shop after so many hours. Selena was very happy to send her off but after Alayna insisted that she has other things to take care of, Selena finally backed off.
Alayna checked the ti and sighed helplessly. She walked so distance and found a quiet place to take out her phone.
She checked her Livestream and it was still ongoing to her surprise, she had thought that it cut off since it has been too long but it didn’t.
While doing that she saw several comnts that made her head dizzy.
"Guys, aren’t you a bit too energetic?" she teased as she looked at the thousand comnts that her viewers had left.
And seeing her holding her phone, those that were still watching began to even send more comnts.

Alayna smiled seeing the several notifications on rewards, they were simply too many and looking at them, this was probably the first ti she had earned so much doing a Livestream.
"Thank you, guys, for the gifts. Next ti, I will make it up to you and show you so interesting things. I will cut off the Livestream for now and we will continue when I am back. I have so things that I need to share with you."
Alayna didn’t wait for her enthusiastic viewers to comnt and cut off the Livestream.
It was getting late and Alayna just wanted to get so rest but before that, she needed to have so food to eat. So, she went to a restaurant nearby and bought so supper.
When she was done, she returned to the alley, and on her way, she t Nancy who seed to be on the way to the alley where she lives.
"Oh, Miss Alayna, I wasn’t expecting to et you here!" Nancy exclaid as soon as she saw her.
"Haha, I wasn’t expecting to see you so soon too. Since we are heading the sa way, let’s go together."
"Sure."
On their way to her shop, Alayna listened as Nancy told her about many things that mainly revolved around the story that rita wrote.
"Lady Boss, when are you going to give the other chapters? I am dying of curiosity here!" Nancy whined like a baby as she thought of how much she suffered while copying fifty copies of an unfinished story.
"Hahaha, is it that interesting?" she couldn’t help but ask with pride in her eyes.
"Yes, I have never read sothing so interesting like that and the curiosity is burning ."
"I am glad that you like it. When you are free to tell again and I will give you the next batch to copy but next I need to check your work and how you did."
Nancy was happy to hear that, to be able to be the first person to read such an interesting story, she was honored, "don’t worry, you will definitely like it."
"I hope so."
The two finally arrived at the shop and Alayna let Nancy in. she let her sit on the custor’s side while she took so water from the display fridge and paid for it.
She gave the other so water before sitting down with her.
"Everything is in the storage pouch that you have , you can check all fifty copies," Nancy said her voice oozing with confidence.
Alayna loved people with confidence as they usually do a good job although overconfidence leads to so mistakes as well.
Nancy was quite nervous as she watched Alayna going through the several copies she had made. It had taken her a lot of effort to do a good job and be done with it.
She didn’t want to give the job to others as this was probably her test in getting a job with Alayna. Her post at the hotel pays well but working for Alayna has more advantages than that.
So, she was willing to walk over water and walk through the fire if it ans achieving that.
