Upon feeling a great sense of satisfaction looking at their surprised faces, he chucked lightly and continued, "Mom and dad, I have always wanted a woman who can fight for herself or even her family when I’m not around. I don’t want the weak kind of woman and in all of country X, she is the fitted heiress I know. I always thought I looked up to her as a successful figure in the business world but after so ti I realized otherwise. I want her as my woman, my companion."
The determination on his face moved his parents greatly, as they could tell that it was not just about finding a woman fitting their status, but it included genuine feelings towards this said woman.
His mother jumped out of her like a kid in a candy store, went round his office desk and hugged him.
"Perfect choice son! She is a wonderful woman, hard working and cos from a good family." Father Zhang proudly patted his son’s shoulder, happiness evident in his eyes.
The three acted as if they had already convinced Jane, making the whole situation look funny. What they didn’t realize was that they were steps behind, as soone had already set his eyes on Jane, and that he wasn’t planning on letting go.
Suddenly mother Zhang scread in hi horror, making both husband and son stand alert, thinking that she had hurt herself.
"Aaah!This is not good! What if other n beat you and get to her first now that she is single? What are you planning to do? Start pursuing her now! If you don’t bring her as my daughter in law I don’t know what I will even do to you!"

Peter was left with a red ear from his mother’s pinching as she rushed out of the office shouting, "Darling co on, let us go and plan how to get our future daughter-in-law."
Peter’s father gave him an apologetic look as he followed his wife. He wouldn’t want to disobey her lest he sleeps on the couch!
His eyes seed to be communicating with him. He knew his wife very well and knew that she was genuinely happy and really wanted this girl as her daughter-in-law. If things go as planned, then it won’t be long before they hold a plump grandchild!
Peter sighed and looked at his phone lock screen.It is a picture of Jane. He smiled warmly and drifted to a world of thoughts on how to approach her. He liked her but he was unsure on how to court a healing woman. After giving it a thought, he created an account online as he started asking questions, whose answers were ant to guide him on how he was going to court and approach her.
One the other side, earlier as Anna pretended to faint, she ended up fainting in truth due to the shock she received. Even though she had truthfully lost consciousness, no one took her seriously. Instead, they were busy focusing on her cheating scandal.
As she stirred up, she opened her eyes, only to see a white ceiling. Recalling the events that took place earlier, she imdiately panicked but a voice beside her made her relax imdiately.
"My daughter! You are awake. you have suffered my baby, how could that bitch do this to you? Don’t struggle to sit up my girl, we will make them pay!"
Her mother’s voice made her pick the sll of disinfectant, letting her know that she was in the hospital.
Anna imdiately broke into tears as she found a good spot in her mother’s embrace.
"Mom those reporters saw half naked! Brother Chen did not even help , I am sure he went to find that wretched woman! What will I do mom, how will I prove my innocence? But I hope I am pregnant with his child. If I am, then I can beco Mrs Chen easily!"
The two were busy in their own world and did not realize a man who seed to be in his 50’s standing at the door, listening to their scheming words.
He sadly looked up, fatigue and bitterness clearly visible in his face.
"Is this really my punishnt for what I did to Becca? Having a vile mother and a daughter?" He mocked himself, gave an unknowingly frightening look at the pair and silently left. He was completely lost in thoughts to know that tears were streaming down his face.
In the sa corridor stood a woman who was minding her business running her errands, when she got startled by the na ’Becca’ The mont realization kicked in, her face beca pale all of a sudden, as her heartbeat accelerated.
Only one person used to call her that. Her ex husband. She felt her heart clench in pain as she turned right on ti to catch his lonely figure maneuvering the corridor.
"Jonathan..."
She silently whispered as she watched his retreating figure. It won’t be long....
Anna on the other hand let her assistant Dora issue an apology to her fans, but she did not apologize to Jane, instead the stupid woman claid that Jane ca in between her relationship. Stupid woman!
She didn’t realize that while she was trying to claim Edward, he was thinking of ways to make Jane go back to him. She solely believed that she was beautiful and capable enough to move Edward, as no man had ever said no to her.
Sigh! The country was going to receive yet another drama the following day. In just one evening, the whole country was left in an uproar, what more was yet to co?
