"Oh! This is so beautiful! Look at them... My tears, my eyes..."
Jane couldn’t help but murmur in the crowd, and the whole family turned to her as they nodded in agreent, all of them having tears threatening to spill.
The Jane who just spoke was waiting for Liam to hand her so tissue or even a handkerchief, but the man was still quiet, just holding her hand as he looked at the family of four earning a deadly glare from Jane.
"Baby.. Why the look... Oh! sorry, sorry..sorry love."
Liam was about to open his mouth and speak further when he realized that he was being glared at because he forgot his normal courtesy ways. It was known to the whole family that from ti to ti, Liam would carry quite a number of handkerchiefs just for Jane because the girl was so emotional from ti to ti.
The rest of them couldn’t help but snicker, but their actions were stopped when they realized the nervousness on Peter and Ian’s faces.
"Ooooh... soone is afraid of their mother-in-law...Hehe.."
The other n who had already t their mother in Laws were really chuckling as they couldn’t imagine how nervous both Peter and Ian were.
The four people on the bedside took their ti as they hugged, comforted and shared their feelings towards each other. It didn’t take long for them to finally separate as Daniel carefully wiped the tears off Emily, handing her a glass of water.
"It’s our beautiful family Em..and you’re now back... Just look at this, our two daughters. You, , them. Thank you so much my love. Thank you for this beautiful gift that you gave ."
Daniel couldn’t help but pepper kisses all over her face. Emily just blushed as she felt his hot lips on her face. "You shut up! Get away. I want to see my daughter as well."
She playfully smacked him as she held both Nichols and Mary’s hands, starting to observe both of them carefully.
Her line of sight imdiately went to Mary’s belly, and she felt her hands itching to touch her belly, and as if Mary could tell her mother’s thoughts, she imdiately took her mother’s hands and rested them on her belly, making the woman on the bed smile gently and purely.
"So,a grandson or a granddaughter?"
She asked playfully as she earned a blushing smile from Mary, who in turn told her that they did not want to find out the gender until the day that she was going to deliver. In short, they wanted it to be a surprise.
"Oh, beautiful,.. beautiful...Wait a minute...!"
Emily was busy nodding, agreeing with her when it suddenly hit her, and her expressions and words imdiately changed, her voice being raised as a big frown covered her face. The room imdiately went into a quiet state as they held their breath, not knowing what had pissed off Emily all of a sudden.
"Who on earth dared to knock down my daughter? Who dared to knock down my daughter? I wanna see that man right now! Step forward wherever you are!"
Ian imdiately stood stiff the mont he heard his mother in law’s words, and as if he was chipped and ant to obey her words, he imdiately stepped forward, Nervousness all over his face as his hands shook anxiously.
The rest of them couldn’t help but laugh out loud as they couldn’t help but imagine the general of the country being all anxious before his mother-in-law, his hands shaking and everything, while he can hold a whole gun and shoot continuously, all straight and clean targets without any anxiousness, fear or nervousness.
"So you’re the one who knocked down my daughter, huh?"
Emily carefully observed Ian from head to toe, not intending to miss any detail that was in that man’s whole body. It was as if she was busy doing so kind of investigation and her eyes was so sharp that Ian could feel so sense of panic etching in his heart.
"So who are you to her? Who are you to my daughter?"
"Hello Auntie. My na is Ian Mo, general of Country X and I am her husband, the father of her child... Our child."
Ian confidently replied, and by this ti he had gained so kind of courage and imdiately t her eyes but he couldn’t help but want to turn and face the other direction because those eyes were so sharp. He felt like she could read his whole soul. He felt like she could tell him his history without stuttering or muttering.
"Oh! good, good, good. Approved! But if you hurt my daughter... Yeah, well, soone’s going to prepare a casket for you."
This earned a huge round of laughter from each and every person in the room as Ian imdiately released a huge sigh of relief.
"What about you, baby? Are you dating?"
Emily turned towards Nicole and the mont she saw the shy look on her daughter’s face, she couldn’t help but let out a chuckle followed by a full blown laughter.
Her look of happiness was clearly visible her despite the fact that her voice was weak and her actions were slightly weaker than a normal human being but still, one could see the sense of relief and happiness on the woman’s face.
Peter couldn’t help but smile widely as he imdiately brought himself forward,looking at the woman on the bed, giving her a bow before he introduced himself.
"Hello Auntie. My na is Peter Zhang. I am Nicole’s boyfriend. Well, fiancé to be..and I’m glad to see you. It was nice eting you."
The man made sure to keep his respects intact as he was facing his future mother-in-law and didn’t want any mishap. He didn’t want her to dislike him.
Emily nodded in satisfaction as he observed her two son in laws, and the more he looked at them, the more she felt as at ease.
"Oh crap! look at . I forgot to ask about your nas my darlings. What is your na and what is yours?"
Emily imdiately smacked her head when she realized she had foreseen a very important detail, and that is knowing the nas of her daughters.
"Not a problem, Mom. My na is Mary and she is Nicole. Your twin daughters."
One could sense the eagerness behind Mary’s voice the mont she introduced herself and her sister to their mother. And as Emily heard her voice and observed her, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"You carry so much of your father. I feel like I’m facing Daniel when I look at you! Good, good. At least soone has his genes, but I hope you’re not as careless and reckless as he is, because if you are, I have a fight to pick with him!"
The mont Emily said this the whole room went to a standstill as they didn’t have the heart to tell the woman how reckless Mary is. In fact, if they were to compare father and daughter, well.. their daughter is way worse than the father but they were not going to tell her because they knew one way or another, she was going to find out and once she did... Well....
"It’s so beautiful to finally see my daughter, finally see my daughters in the sa place, my granddaughters with ...I feel like I have accomplished it all in life."
Grandpa Huang spoke in happiness as he looked at his little familiar with shiny eyes.
They all equally wore smiles of relief, smiles of happiness as they observed each other once again while seeing the relief on their faces. It’s not every day that families get together, and it’s not every day that families forgive each other for their missteps but today was that day for the Huang family.
"I think it’s ti we introduce ourselves now that you people have relaxed."
The not so quiet Grandma Lu imdiately spoke up, making the rest laugh as they watched the woman who just shrugged her shoulders, playfulness evident on her face.
Grandma Huang smacked her face as if reminding herself that she had left out an important detail, the sa action that Emily did making the rest believed that indeed, mother and daughter.
"So baby, here we have 5 different families. Families that have accommodated us and families that have given us an equal footing in this country. Just so you know, little bird, we no longer stay in country B."
"Wait! Before you go further, mom, are you forgetting to introduce another couple to ?"
Everyone else stared at Emily in confusion as they couldn’t find the so-called couple that she was talking about until they were introduced to her.
"Sorry, I’m not talking about the rest of you. Rather, I’m talking about my sister...Becca girl..."
Emily’s eyes darted from Rebecca to Rick, confusing the two, but the mont Rebecca realized it, her eyes widened in shock as she felt like soone was choking her, blush imdiately coating her cheeks.
"I..I.. Shut up Emily!"
"Ah! So it’s the case of two people liking each other but being shy to confess. Hmm... not bad, not new though. You and you have to hurry up. Yeah, please hurry up. I need a brother-in-law. Like, imdiately."
