Nicole imdiately wore a flustered look as she blushed, looking at her tough sister and imdiately back to her man.
"Always trust your sister Nicole. Always trust Your sister sweetie. OK?"
"Just leave them to . I promised to make them pay. I promised to make anyone that hurt my family pay and I am never going back on my promises. So you just sit back, relax and enjoy."
"Oh, and hey bro, make sure my sister is enjoying or else I’m also coming for your neck."
Alongside comforting Nicole ca a threat to Peter who imdiately panicked the mont those sharp eyes were redirected to him, he felt like shivering at the mont because he knew the woman before him was not a joke but her threat was not a problem since he loved Nicole and he knew he was going to treat her right for the rest of their lives.
After a series of stories between the two sisters, Mary flashed her sister a smile before she left.
"Well, that was so intense,I almost shivered for a mont."
Peter imdiately aired out his view, making Nicole laugh.
"And that’s on my sister." The girl replied back with a gentle smile on her face.
To the whole of Country X, the long-awaited day was finally here as the whole of the Chan family was arraigned in court, charged for the mistakes they had committed.
Quite a number of the high society was there to witness the real downfall of the Chen family. Of course, the witnesses of the people that had been oppressed by the Chan family were also there. Those that their children suffered molestation under them were equally there.
The dia was not forgotten as the caras swiped from left to right, The lenses shuttering furiously, indicating that they were not letting any juicy information pass by.
Mother Chen was seated on her chair, sobbing as she observed her child, as she observed her husband being arraigned, both seemingly lost a lot of weight, their handsoness, and even the color on their faces was nowhere to be seen. Instead, they had scars, seeming like they had been punched continuously, their eyes bulging out.
"My husband, My son. I don’t know my family. It’s gone. My family is gone.."
The woman continuously muttered in a stressful manner as she moved from left to right, seemingly consoling herself, but all the people saw was just a shaless woman trying to justify the actions of her husband and child, n that had drained other won with zero remorse, and therefore such people should not be defended, nor should they be cried for.
Edward observed the court and the people in it, but he couldn’t miss the look of mockery and eyes displaying the victory, taunting him alongside his father. The man wanted to leave the place and imdiately rush at those people, punch them and even kill them but he was handcuffed and he was placed in a situation that he could barely move without alerting the guards. Put it simply, he was trapped with nowhere to go and no one to seek help from.
His jaw ticked in anger and annoyance as the judge continuously read the reason as to why they were arraigned in courts, and he could still feel the shutters of the cara furiously snapping photos of him, not intending to leave any reaction out.
As the court procedure continued with most of the testimonies and evidence favoring the victims, both Edward and Father Chen had no otherwise, but instead they were given a life sentence. If it were possible, they would have been given a death sentence, but a death sentence was sothing that was abolished in the country a long ti ago and therefore they were to serve a life sentence.
The mont the crowd heard this, they were imdiate shouts of joy as people celebrated and one could imdiately mistake it with a beautiful celebration happening inside the court but this was just a person who was despised that had just been given a life sentence.
As both Edward and Father Chan were being taken out, ready to be shipped to their prison, Edward felt a burning gaze on him, and the mont he turned towards the direction, he ca face to face with Liam’s eyes simply mocking him, simply taunting him and simply telling him that he had lost.
It was then that it hit Edward that all these problems started the day he called soone to kidnap Jane. And the more he looked at Liam, the more he felt so chills learning down his spine.
"You! It was you who you did this! Officer! I was fra.."
"Shut up!"
The officer in charge of Edward imdiately slapped his head backwards as he instructed him to shut up the mont he started blabbering a lot of nonsense, despite the fact that he was proven to be guilty.
Before they could fully take him away, Liam got out of his car and smoothly walked towards their direction, imdiately murmuring sothing to the officer who respectfully stood aside as he let Liam have his way.
Liam walked towards Edward direction, the two n having a staring contest, one having eyes full of hatred and anger and the other one’s eyes full of mockery and taunt.
"Oh... Would you look at that? The famous Edward Chen. He is now serving a life sentence... Yeah, no one saw that coming but one thing’s for sure, Edward Chen, you lost and next ti, do not go around casually wanting to kidnap people’s won. Casually coveting people’s won. Oh, my bad.. sorry, there is no next ti for you, because you’re going to die in that place...Mark my words, young man."
Liam’s voice was extrely low, cold and chilly as he made sure that his eyes never left Edward’s eyes as he put emphasis in each and every word that he said, making the man before him shiver in discomfort, making the man before him feel so helpless but before he could say anything, the officer who was previously in charge of him dragged him rcilessly as he took him to the car, not bothering to show any courtesy since the man had been found guilty of actions that a normal human being should not even be able to commit.
Liam watched as the man was taken to the car, and he couldn’t help but smile as he turned and went back to his car, only to be stopped by a group of reporters who had spotted so staring contest between the two n and could imdiately guess that they would have so tea.
"Pres..."
The reporters were unable to say anything before they were flashed a dangerous glint by Liam, making them imdiately back out as they pretended that they were just taking shots of him and not really having any intention of interviewing him.
Having done this, the reporters imdiately paved the way for the superior man who got into his car and drove out of the place.
One could tell that this seed to be a beautiful day for Liam, as the man was all rainbows and flowers as he stopped by his wife’s favorite bakery with an intention of buying for her almost each and everything she loves, despite the fact that he knows she shouldn’t have that much sugar, but because it was his happy day, then he was not going to restrict her that much. He just felt like rewarding her. He felt happy that he got rid of that man. And of course, what else than to see his wife happy further?
"My son, My son! My husband. Oh sobody anybody help?"
Mother Chen was left crying outside the court as different caras captured her pathetic situation, intending to co up with pretty good juicy stories about her but the woman did not care at this point because she had just lost her husband and one only son at the sa ti, she had just lost her status in the upper community.
Where was she going to stay? She had no clue. What was she going to eat? She had no clue, but she was going to make sure that she would seek her revenge.
"Hello my love. How you doing?" Liam imdiately hugged Jane from the back the mont he arrived and found her reading a book sited by the window side, watching the beautiful garden as the flowers were beautifully blooming.
"Hello, darling. Oh, pastries!" Jane intended to give back a casual and sweet reply, but the mont her eyes fell on the pastry bag, they widened in happiness as she imdiately pounced on Liam, prompting the man to imdiately wrap his hands around her butt to support her since her action was sudden.
Liam’s eyes were all smiles as he watched her getting excited over a bag of pastries and this prompted him to let out a hearty laughter as he imdiately put the bag down, and using one hand to wrap around her neck and bring her face dangerously close to his, imdiately smashing their lips together in a dangerous but sweet kiss.
